It’s an interesting choice for the writers of the story to choose nunchucks for ash since she has always been a cunning and quick character whereas the nunchucks are contrary to that style of combat

And even if Northstars have an equivalent, Viper's is heavily modified and he is a professional mercenary. I want a broken, torn down husk of a man who lost *everything* he cared for, hell bent on a path of destroying it all because it never mattered anyways... Only to get a reunion with the family he always needed.

The story behind them was okay, but the weapon itself sucked ass. Nunchucks literally are a direct contradiction to Ash. They might require focus and precision, both things definitely Ash, but they also represent defence, deep thought and a circular flexible way of thinking. This is not Ash. Ash is straight to the point, sharp with her words and focus, deliberate in her actions and inflexible with her thoughts. The nunchucks directly go against her character, should’ve put more thought into it instead of just slapping two paddles to a bit of string.
