Pilots really were something else. I've played Apex for a long time before I finally tried Titanfall 2's multiplayer. Legend does not come close to a pilot

That was one thing that was jarring playing Apex. Despite the maps being huge, you move slow as molasses compared to how high speed titanfall multiplayer was.

@@WILLTY13 people have simply have been playing for a long time. It's just very sad that these days being good is to be looked down upon, i personally love to play with and against experienced and inexperienced players alike.
@@WILLTY13 on the upside if you're decent to good at Apex you'll do just fine if you return, too. Enough translates. I took a TF2 dip recently after not playing for years (but playing a lot of Apex) and while I wasn't at the top of the scoreboards of most matches, I was at least in the top half with a respectable KDR. It is absolutely sweaty, though, that's true.

@ it's unlikely that she ever would have known about cooper and BT, she probably would have just been told that he was killed by a militia pilot, so instead blames the person that hired him that she actualy knows about and can track down.

@@goatmasala back in TitanFall 2 the Apex predators were a mercenary organization that fought for the IMC (big bad corporation) against the Frontier Militia (good guys-ish) which was a collection of frontier planets that rose up against the IMC. the frontier is a mixed bag of good and bag people but the IMC is pretty much all bad, with the Apex predators being at the top, yet separate from the IMC

Viper is almost the only Apex Predator worthy of any kind of respect or admiration since he's a professional, not a deranged war criminal. Giving him a daughter and a wife, and showing the effect his death had on them, really fleshes him out from the faceless badass he is in Titanfall 2 when Jack and BT encounter him. Immediately makes Valkyrie a highly relatable Legend too, which I appreciate. The fact that when he grabs the falling Titan he ignores her pleas, immediately punches her out of the cockpit, and then looks until he sees her chute open before trying to save himself is such a beautiful detail.
Oh, and the animation is beautiful, sometimes I rewatch this for the feels and sometimes just for the visuals. Great writing too, for a simple story the three central characters are very well fleshed out.

@Rehan Oktapri ramadan it’s kinda weird how we see oursevels as the good guy with this titans we call “family” but it’s kinda more complicated than that (jack cooper: the person we play) going around killing these guys
I love that the Militia fleet are using faction accurate ships like Crows and the Redeye. One of them had the callsign Misfit-4: Misfit was the name for the Militia ship (callsign Misfit-2) that got shot down in the beginning of Demeter in Titanfall 1, AKA the ship that was meant to deploy you. Really cool that they kept the naming schemes

Viper didn't die, FYI. You knocked them out. Even when you shoot Viper out of the cockpit, they are breathing AFTER you and BT walk away. Viper is also the ONLY enemy pilot who you don't immolate or completely destroy. Can look up plenty of evidence on YT or elsewhere. Even the devs are super coy when asked about viper as opposed to literally any of the other pilots.
