BTW, I traded the car in yesterday for a 2020 equinox. 4K miles on it. I had 165K on my 2015, so we figured it was time to move on to a newer model before it started to Nickle and Dime me. BTW, there was very little trash on the screens. I think it was an electronic issue with either one of them. I replaced both of them to fix it.
Just fixed mine but needed the ac delco sensors from chevy dealer autozone ones didn’t work!!! True story!!!
Super helpful and super simple! Thank you!!!
Excellent video bro. Took me less than an hr to fix the problem. Thank you.
Thanks for saving me some money. Work just like you said. $61.00 a piece at the chevy dealer here in southern California. only place that had them. took me about 30 minutes.
Good deal! Thanks for watching!
@@Tomsfoolery. I changed my solenoid valves but now my car just turns over and doesn't start if you read this I love to hear your input
Thank you so much for this. Instantly fixed the problem!
That’s good news!! Thanks for watching!
Thanks watched your video change both just like any double parts if you change one change both total was about 100 for parts took about 15 minutes tops. ..
That’s great! Thanks for watching!
Same with me as far as a cost for parts, but I needed more than 15 minutes. Cheers!
Thanks for the video. 2012 Equinox had check engine light go on the other day and clear on its own. had Oreilly's give me a scan and it showed the P0010 code. Car ran fine, then today it stalled out on us pulling away from a stop and was acting really sluggish. However its nice to see a how simple the fix is, I will also do both solenoids since I'll be in there. Any thoughts on why they go bad? only 89k on our car, is it a 'common' issue with these cars or bad oil or what? Thanks again!
Saved my ass bud, thought it was gunna be so much worse.
Do you know if it would be okay to change the oil while doing this repair as well? It shouldn’t hurt anything right
Yep my Buick Verano was throwing a P0011 code and needed a grey top input cam sensor and took all of 5 minutes to replace
Thanks for looking at the connectors and saying they are each unique so you can't switch them
No problem! Thanks for watching!
Thank you for the video! Worked like a charm
Good deal! Thanks for watching!
Great job on this informative video. Now I know more about what I'm about to do. Many thanks.
trying to replace this solenoid. accidentally broke the connector on top (for intake one, with blue ring inside). where to get the replacement and what is the part number to search?
Did you ever figure out the part? I did the same thing
Any tips on how to get the freaking plastic tips off?! Mine won’t budge. Do you turn it or lift it or turn and lift ? I’m afraid to pull too hard.
I've heard there's supposed to be a firmware update for the engine controller when you do this. Ever heard of this?
Great video, problem is not having the machine to tell u what the problem is, i just found out from pepboys that this is what i needed, but since i am not me hanically encline, i couldn't tell on my own that this was the problem i was having. Gonna pay $500 for the repair.
Great video though.
Man pay them whatever it was to read the code. Usually 50 to 90 dollars. Even if you are not mechanically talented the way he breaks it down makes it very easy. If you can create a dish from a recipe you can do this! Have faith and take life by the horns when it throws you curve balls and knock em out of the park! 10o bucks for the part and 15 minutes of my time. Wife called me stranded at work, stressing for a rental. I got the part, installed it and made it back to my job on time all in my lunch break. You can do it homie!
@@michaelreese8211 yeah, i should have done that, after the fact i realozed that i could have done it myself, next time i will do that.
Thank you I hope this helps me out this happened to me yesterday twice
Dealer wanted $1000 to do this job.
I bought the parts for about $105 and did it myself!
I like capitalism, BUT DAAYYYYUUNNNMMM!!
2015 equinox, followed the video (quite easy) and the codes immediately came back on.
Vehicle runs so smooth but check engine light is on.
Frustrating, our Chevy dealer is closed due to Covid-19 and is now out of inspection.
Does anybody have any idea why the codes are still on?
Thanks for the video 🙏 my car is going thru this at the moment I got to learn something new and save some money too thanks man
I’m having the same issue with stalling but my check engine light isn’t coming on so no codes.
Me too did you fix that
Replaced both of mine and 2014 Equinox STILL stalls when cold only. (Dealer did all work & are now puzzled and getting impatient with the vehicle saying "we cant rent you a car forever."
Thanks for the video...saved me money. This also worked on my son's Pontiac 2008 G5 GT. Same engine.
I just bought a 2013 Equinox, and although it isn’t stalling, it does sputter when shifting from 2nd to first, and also upon initial acceleration from a stop.
Would this be the same fix?
Thankyou so much for this video. I was freaking out! You are the man!
Hi have you had the shaking issue at stop light? Has it been solved ?
Thank god ur amazing I’m doing this in the morning
If you have spark to the plugs and 55psi to the fuel rail but a no start, would that likely be these vvt solenoids of timing chain?
Yes. The valve timing can cause the vehicle to not start or run if it gets too far out. These engines are common for needing new timing chains often.
I replaced both of these and my car is still stalling. Still getting same reading as well, P0011. Any ideas what it could be?
me too
Kelsey Campbell did you find the issue
HOW DO YOU CLEAR THE CODES AFTER YOU REPLACE THESE PARTS?
Replacing these would that have anything to do with the timing belt stretching?
My 2015 is doing the same thing don't have checked engie light on ...will I have the same code
Guillermo Pena
I have the same issue
I have this same issue in my 2015 ... thank you

When I took my truck to the shop it was the cam shaft and and throttle body needed service. Cam shaft was covered under warranty. Throttle body was $135
Spontaneous Girl .. thanks! So annoying
Ever figure your problem? I have a 14 equinox that is stalling like it dude when it threw bad solenoid codes. But no codes are being thrown right now. Could it be solenoids?
Very helpful. I've only worked on Non computer vehicles. Thanks
Thanks for taking the time to make this Video! 👍👌
Thanks for taking the time to watch it!
Thank you. Saved my day and wallet!!!
What are these I’m buying.? I have a 2015 Equinox stalling out on me too like at red lights and when I’m turning to park. Anything basic under 1RPM I’m stalling. Have been putting it in neutral to help save it but yeah pretty sure this is my issue. Help lol
Timing solenoids
Having stalling issues but no dummy lights and just had the fuel pump changed had oil in my fuel cost $700 still stalling would low oil or oil change help?😊
Did u “have” to change both or is it ok just to change the one that gives the error code?
You can get away with just the one. I’ve done it and had the vehicle come back months later with the engine light on and a code for the other. Ever since, I always just do them as a pair. I actually just changed another pair last night on a 2010 equinox!
