  • First time we really used dipsy divers. We caught 35 lake trout at Red Lake!

    Nice work figuring out the dipsies. The only thing I would be concerned about is the fingers in the gills with released fish. Sometimes on a big fish there's space just under the gill plate, but I usually reserve that for fish I'm keeping. I find that one hand gripping in front of the tail and one hand under the belly works pretty good. A tailing glove can help with the grip. Again, nice work on figuring out those fish.

    Thanks for the video. Going up end of June, this will be the second time I've been there. The first time was 2017. Want to try for lakers this year

    Nice video! Where did you find that Dipsy Diver chart in the background?? Trying them out for the first time here for salmon here on Lake Oahe here in South Dakota.

    Great video! What rods were you using? I’m looking at getting 6’6 heavy action ugly stik gx2 rods but am not sure if they will be a good choice. I’d appreciate any input you have. Thanks

      YES! The Ugly stik you mentioned is PERFECT! I believe I'm using the same rod too!

    Which line counter reel do you like?

      i use Daiwa Accudepth (ADP17LCB). There are some better ones, but the accudepth is reasonably priced.
