My first OLED TV was/is the 65" LG B8. I fell in love with it. It's still going strong over 5yrs later now. It's the TV that made me decide there's no going back to LCD, or any other technology. Recently, I decided to pick up a 42 or 48" OLED for mainly PC use. I ended up going with the 48" LG C3, basically because it was the same price as the 42". The B8 is still gorgeous...But, I can see the advancements. The C3 is definitely brighter and more punchy. The colors are just dead-on on either unit. Great TV imo. I wouldn't think of buying any other kind at this day/time. Cheers.

I have a 55" Hisense U8G in my room and a 77" LG G3 in the living room. The OLED does get bright, but because it lacks a backlight, you don't get that punch when watching bright scenes that you get with backlit TVs. To make matters worse, they tie in brightness with contrast, so if I want to get that extra brightness, I have to put the contrast up, resulting in a high-contrast image. I want to swap my 55" for a 48" C3, but I can see from the video that it would be the same case as my G3 (lacks brightness).

I just bought myself a 48inch C3 for Christmas and I’m crazy excited. I’m gonna set it up tmw once I’m home from work. I have until now had a Bravia H800 and I really liked it but it was just a bare bones 4K panel. It will be nice to have all the bells and whistles to play around with. @@christopherross8976okay so couple days in and I love it, setting up a quality picture and sound profile took a good bit of tinkering, and cable tv definitely lacks a bit of stability in the image. But other than that it is an amazing tv. One weird quirk I had that idk if anybody else had. When I turned on my Series X, it was the weirdest thing, none of the game mode stuff turned on, and the HDR settings like totally borked themselves. But I just forgot the device and re-set it up and then it was fine. Otherwise though I would totally say go for it, the blacks are truly inky, and if there is other TVs out there that get brighter, it can’t be by a huge amount, becuase daymn this thing is bright haha

Truthfully, I think any 4k would probably give you a bump over 3440x1440. Just by math alone , more pixels = more space. Also depends how you scale your desktop too. On my Mac I go straight 4k, windows I do 4k but scale like 125% if that makes sense.
I used to exclusively use a 34" ultra wide too. I miss that 21:9 at time, I don't know why, but I truly get more out of 4k.
      I personally use either my 42" C3 OLED or LG's 4k 240hz OLED.

Last spring I put my Special Edition Cyberpunk XBox in storage and purchased a Series X . Been playing Fallout 4 , 76 , Battlefield and Elite Sniper 5 on it , with my 9 year old Visio 42 " Series M playing monitor . 2 weeks ago I bought a Seagate 2 TB SSD for the Xbox and moved all my games onto it , including a new download of Assassin's Creed Black Flag .
I was really looking forward to seeing how the series X presented the game in contrast to my One X .
But after it finished downloading , I was calibrating my TV for the game and the TV just went black . No power , no sound , no input response 😢 .
I went on Amazon yesterday and ordered a 55" LG C3 ...I really hope it's everything every one says it is .
The fact that it has gaming hardware built into it that my Visio never had , plus the 9 year gap in tech advancement has got me really stoked .

42’ c2 here. After optimizing and calibrating the tv to its max performance the picture looks great but I notice on certain games especially MW3, the picture looks grainy/dithering effect over blacks and certain colors. Not sure if it’s my tv or the developers but super annoying

Can this be used in Oled 1080p? Or am I forced to use a high resolution thus effecting Gpu output fps?
