  • I saved the best for last! This is Episode 8 of my Morocco series and, whoa, this is the ultimate luxury experience. After a sneak peak of The Royal Mansour in Episode 7, this video is a full tour of the most insane luxury riad i've ever seen. 3 floors of hand crafted Moroccan style with no detail left to chance. Enjoy this cribs style tour of an exclusive Royal Mansour Riad - certainly a once in a lifetime opportunity for us.

    What makes morocco unique, is that it has its own things, they do not immitate.

    That Riad is luxe! I love Moroccan (as well as Balinese) decor and architecture. I bought quite a bit of pottery from Fez but when it got to London where I was living at the time, most of it cracked and broke, thankful that a very old brass teapot I bought from a village on the Atlas Mts I hand carried.

    • @EndlessMike_

      Aw, Sayang ang pottery mo, pero mabuti yan may teapot pa! I wanted to buy so many artisan crafts, pero walang room sa bag ko. I would LOVE to have an area rug, but mahal na mahal and between my dogs and Luna... It'd be a ness in no time haha

      Michael Sorensen some of the rugs there were works of art, I’d hang it up❣️Yep having kids and dogs never equates to a clean household. Drives me mental sometimes as I believe in clean space/ clear mind but have learnt not to let it bother me so much.

      Balinese is base on Javanese-South Sumatran architecture, Balinese is just continue culture of the last Majapahit and others the last pre-islamic Indonesia-Malaysia-Brunei. in Mainland Southeast Asia, Thailand-Laos-Cambodian style, Champa style(cousin of Malay and Achenese, today "Coastal of Central Vietnam), and Burmese style.while Vietnamese
      . only Philippine do not have architecture. it the only lack of civilization like Australian aboringal and Papuans
      this example of Javanese Gate at Java and others they are thousand Javanese gate(Indonesian, Malay and Javanese= Gapura and Gerbang. sometimes called Candi Bentar. Gapura and Gerbang have many style the spilt gate are Candi Bentar, some have roof, some not)

      Oh, that's a great question.. I'm really not sure, but it was quite spacious throughout the riad. Maybe 1000sqm would be my guess

    This is my first time seeing one of your videos. Are you saying that you rented the entire riad for the 3 of you? If so, how much did it cost? What a dream to have one of those to yourself/your family.

      Thank you for watching! I hope you enjoyed the tour. My parents, who were not in the video, also stayed there. Im not sure the exact cost but you could check on their website to see if it’s listed ✌️

    A “Zen” fountain?

    • @EndlessMike_
      @EndlessMike_  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      hmm, i'm not sure the purpose or significance of the fountain, but probably not 'zen' specifically, since that is a Buddhist principal, and Morocco is a majority Muslim country... but maybe it has something to do with creating a peaceful atmosphere or just a really cool design aesthetic. I would be interested to know also :)

      @@adam-7154 It is moroccan handicraft when i was in morocco you see in every city of morocco from north to south the working men who work leather the wooden ceilings tiles the plasters the cuisine the traditional clothing everything is so special, cause how they work and how the patterns are is so unique! If what you claim was true why do we not find everything the same in the other Islamic countries if they have the same pattern even if it's just one tile work? Stop with that childish behavior.. don't understand why you are so jealous. Lying like if that historian have nothing recorded in the historical books, do you ever read? Not here nor in the Arab Islamic country has this kind of handcraft where are this workers in your country's or are they swallowed into the earth. Why you can't accept it.. why is it so hard to you Arabs.. are that jalous of your own fellow human beings are the Moroccans not Muslims like you, also an Algerian said that just the same stupid reaction last month ... no he says it is from Algeria they have it stolen from us he said hahahaha i have seen algeria nothing of this kind of magic seen there only building that France has built in the 1960 those where left behind.. not in the north african countries nor in the east or in egypt!!
      What is your problem with Morocco? Why do you hate that country? Just because we honestly admit that these people are unique artists? They are so friendly people.. they are so welcoming everyone with a big warm smileys of any one.. and openmind they speak different languages in their country and more! I can't say anything positive about Morocco or you find those arabs all suddenly attacking me and want to jump out of the screen and they say no it's Islamic hahaha .. how ridiculous that you really are! I've traveled all over the Arab country's and I'll say it again we don't find this in the Islamic countries! This here is extraordinarily special and unique and nowhere have I seen this kind of tiling or plastering or woodwork and not just me saying this! Also all western countries say that! Read the history menheer, "the architecture of Morocco" and you may stop with your lies, because it makes no sense. You're only making fun of yourself. The only place we found the same work was the mosques in the south of Spain in Andalusia and Spaniards honestly admit it's Moroccan! cape!
