The Moroccan Map is not represented correctly in this video. Morocco took back since 1975 the rest of his territory "west moroccan Sahara" which was colonized from Spain. This part of his Map contains beautiful cities like Laayoun et Dakhla. This region of Morocco offers a rich culture of Hassani folk and beautiful mix between Desert and meer.

Today North Africa and the middle East is a mess because of Islam, that is why tourists usually go there to visit pre Islamic archeological sites

The Ottomans put the Moroccan sovereigns under the yoke, they even killed one of your sultans to send his head to Istanbult. Moroccan sultans resorted to the Ottomans to guard their throne and also during the famous Battle of the Three Kings.
Ottomans invaded Fez twice but never sought to stay in Morocco. The truth is that the Ottomans beat the Moroccans incessantly, but they were not interested in this country to expand their empire there.

And when they arrived in Algeria at the request of the Algerians themselves, Morocco had been under Portuguese occupation all along the Atlantic coast for a century already. What was Morocco at the time? Nothing to do with the current territories.
French reports of Morocco at the start of the Protectorate in 1912 speak of a very poorly dressed population living in miserable medinas, nothing that the Ottomans wanted when they had the far more glorious Balkans to conquer.

Thar is had it own sultans for centuries. That it was an organized state with relarionships with all of Europe. That it's people were the most attached to tradition and that it was the first state in the world to recognize USA and open trade with it)

As someone so well-known, Gordon should ensure that the team behind his videos do not make frustrating cultural blunders like this, and should hire sensitivity viewers to watch the videos prior to release.

This video warmed my heart and made me even more proud of my people: Gordon Ramsay: Uncharted is a beautiful documentary series and I enjoyed every episode who made me discover beautiful culinary cultures of our planet. But man, seeing the great "Chef Ramsay" touring Morocco to discover and share with the world our local culinary heritage was amazing to see. This man is such a legend ! His curiosity scintillates his inner child, how he connects with people and the world around him is amazing :) We saw honest hardworking moroccan men and women, living a simple humble life all around morocco, in the cities and the rural areas, preserving their ancestral way of life, the nature around them, our historical cultural and culinary heritage.. Look how they are proud and happy to welcome the world with their hospitality to discover their lifestyle. How educated they are and welcoming. This video warmed my heart. That is why my love for my country Morocco will never stop no matter what ❤ Morocco's culure is fascinating, the touristic circuits are worth discovering from north to south: beaches, mountains, deserts and canyons, beautiful hotels and old medinas that will make you discover the old morocco, a 1000 flavor in the local cuisine, and warm welcoming people that are happy to share their culture. That's what makes Morocco special :)
