One thing from our culture as Moroccans. You might notice that the house looks old and not so cool from the outside. All done by purpose to not show off and to keep things private and respect people that are not fortunate enough.
@SimoAtlas Bro, I'm a Moroccan raised abroad and yet this is what my father kept teaching me. "Do not show off, be discret and respectful. Otherwise you will hurt the unfortunate and they will rightly grudge you for that." This is a sense of decency so conscious in Moroccan culture. It's graceful and gracious.
Thank you for highlighting Moroccan architecture. Shame that you invited a pseudo-designer Willem Shmidt who can not even describe the real definition of an authentic Moroccan Riad...
"This is not your history, it's another culture's history." Well, hold on there. These courtyards date back at least to the Roman Empire in North Africa. Certainly, the Arabs, with their own traditional architecture, improved on it, but similar courtyards are all over Pompeii. When you go back that far, it's all shared history. It's our history.
Arabs in absolute definition, didn't have an architectural history, it's the moor with influence from Southern Europe. Ethnicly, Moroccans are not Arabs but Berber.
So your argument is there is nothing unique to a country because the romans DID IT FIRST ? How does that make any sense ? First that's highly inaccurate there is barely any resemblance between the Moroccan architecture (not arab) and the Roman one, Second if you're gonna go back to the Roman empire you might as well go to the first homosapiens era it's easier... That's not how history and culture work buddy
With ALL THAT BEAUTY-- Dont the birds that come and land on things ,, LEAVE THEIR POOP EVERY WHERE!!!🐦😨-- I know birds ARE VERY MESSY WHEN IT COMES TO POOPY MESSSES😲😨
