I agree..there are some great little camping toilets out there that are compact and compostable or easy to dispose of waste. All that space and not better toilet than a bucket was just a little odd. So much detail went into everything else.
As a young woman, a van with 360 degrees of windows would be dangerous with so many predators out there. She's golden as long as she stays in a warm climate. She'd never make it in the upper half of the US without serious insulation and heating capabilities.
All the light in there is extraordinary; you see these Vans where they spend a fortune and its all dark / no windows. Amazing space; brilliant idea on the shuttle van. That is quite the conversion; who would want a Mercedes sprinter after seeing your conversion??? amazing!
If I were going on the road, I'm convinced a shuttle bus would be the way for me. Yours is gorgeous and I love the windows/light. I also love your decorative style. It's so great you have this as a business too. Good success!
She sold it for thirty to thirty-five thousand ( I can't remember which ), if that helps. I agree it's one of the best van/shuttle conversions I've seen. Her webpage has a bunch of pictures and whatnot about it.
One could easily start spartan with just a bed and a few basics and gradually modify it to your needs as time and money allowed. If you see how people live in their cars with very little, take some of their ideas and build on them. Take advantage of friends' showers or Planet fitness or do "spit baths" as my mother used to call them. With just a rudimentary battery, inverter and solar panel, one could have basic lights, and electronics, and one of those $24 butane cooktops for cooking.
There are lots of comments about the toilet (or lack of). The beauty of your own conversion design is you only have to include what's important to you. I love this van & immediately saw a place for a toilet with the present design. We all have a vision or idea of what's relaxing & comfortable. I could not spend even a week without big windows but others may find storage space to be a bigger priority. This is one of the best conversion I've seen.

Nothing said about water tanks, size, how she heats water for shower, electricity, solar panels. All the practical things. So many windows that people can look in from the outside. Maybe she only stays in San Diego and doesn't need to deal with bad weather, rain, cold, snow. With less windows she'd have more options on walls for storage, pantry, shelves, and insulation. What about heat and A/C?. She must have grey water tank for shower and sink but it's not mentioned. Seems odd to leave that out if her business is designing these. And she is tiny, only 5'2". How tall is the ceiling? Could a normal person, or a tall large man fit in the shower or the bed? What is under the bed?
Recovering Soul may grey tank and inverter/battery/charger is because of the business. If you’re watching this one I know you’ve seen a few more a handful at least and they all tell you about their solar where the batteries are how they do this how they do that just cause she didn’t doesn’t mean anything more than likely it’s due to her business why she didn’t say where are they located them
Recovering Soul Oh and the shuttle buses are just about 6 1/2 feet tall I’m sure her shower was an intro to shorter than that but basically that’s about how tall they are

Right, daddy is a contractor. So she has a mentor and access to tools and workspace. Free parking in her parents driveway, then a friends. Not exactly living on the streets or she would ditch all those windows and go more stealth. Since living in a vehicle isn't legal really in CA. What powers the refrigerator (I think it's annoying you can only reach fridge from on top with empty counters). How does she heat water for sink and shower? Grey water tank size and location? What is under the bed? Where are batteries and controllers for solar? Where are her TOOLS? fire extinguisherr? Heat and A/C? fan?
Recovering Soul perhaps her setup was customized for her clutter-less way of life? You might have a ton of things on the counter tops so that might not work for you so it’s a hood thing it was made for her and not for you..
