Meet Donna, a solo female traveler who decided to embark on the journey of a lifetime by converting this 2012 Chevy Express shuttle bus into the home on wheels of her dreams. She spent two and a half months building out her bus, named 'Olive,' before it was ready to hit the road. Since becoming nomadic, Donna has loved creating an indoor/outdoor cooking routine & bringing friends along to travel with her. Olive features a large kitchen with a deep sink that doubles as Donna's outdoor shower, an extra bed & passenger seat for the guests who travel with her, and a permanent queen size bed. Could you dream of anything more?

This is so beautiful, for the past 7 years or so I’ve been obsessed with tiny living. When I was at university I would ride the shuttles and one time it hit me it was the perfect size for a home. As of now I no longer desire tiny living as a permanent or semipermanent way of living but I want to convert a shuttle for my business, I am currently learning to fix instruments and the idea of always being able to take my shop with me is so appealing but also make it into an alternative home for either me when I need a different life or even for an Airbnb when I am not using it. This was very inspiration and thank you for taking the time to make this.

Good for you!!! My husband and I have lived and traveled alllll over the world with his job! And we have owned 2 sprinter vans ( which he loved 1 and I loved the other)! And I want to badly to buy the smaller bus with highdralick lift for my motorcycle! But I have a WONDERFUL HUSBAND who is looking at another Sprinter $200,000 + which I hate. So kudos to you GF! I love the shuttle bus idea. It’s bigger than a van, and you could Boondock. Where do you take a shower? Planet fitness? Did you do all the electrical in your conversion?
Thank you so much. I do a lot of ‘camp baths’ which are basically like sponge baths. I always feel very clean after. When I’m ready to also do laundry I’ll stay a night in an RV park, get laundry done and a hot shower. Electric is the one and only thing I contracted out and glad I did.

I’m am giving her my f250 and she owns a horse trailer so time for Mimi to buy a vehicle. I’m thinking excursion or mini van to start. I’m so excited.this will help me greatly. Thank you.

I think the shuttle bus is a great fit for a single woman. The school bus I like but a little voice KEPT SAYING IT'S LARGE! THIS SEAMS LIKE A GOOD FIT. YOUR Build IS LOVELY.

Really nice build! I understand what you said about saving money in the creation of this versus other RVs. However, the cost of fuel for that engine Will cost a fortune to go even a short distance!
But that is true of all homes on wheels of this size. Fuel is costly nowadays, so staying for a week at a time in ne place like she can is a good idea.
RV parks can cost 50-100 per night. saving that is more than compensating for gas. with that, i would stay away from diesel. and btw, a truck with a towable rv also takes lots of fuel. so what's the alternative?
I love my diesel! Powerful, dependable. The price of diesel fluctuates. There have been times it was cheaper than gasoline!
