Hi friends, hope you’re hanging in there during these uncertain times. I’ve been spending time in the kitchen because cooking is meditative for me. What’s your favorite relaxing or self-care activity to do when you’re stressed? In my Instagram Stories, I'm sharing 10 easy things you can do at home to de-stress!
My wife and I just received our instapot as a wedding gift and we love it. My wife hasn’t been feeling well. I’ve jokingly mentioned becoming a vegan may help. Definitely praying for guidance and wisdom, because Ik she’s not going to want to.
Just make vegan meals for her. Dont even tell her they are vegan. Just slowly start incorporating healthier meals into your daily lives. You get to avoid the mental obstacle that makes her believe she miss ingredients because its only a meal here or there. You'll be able to go at a pace that allows her taste buds to slowly change. Its how i got healthier and lost 60lbs. Its not a diet, if done right, its a lifestyle change.
I could never shake my allergies till I went vegan. I suffered and suffered and finally when I went vegan I got better! Animal products wracked and ruined my body. I hope that you can help her. 🙏🙏❤️🙏🙏
It's so amazing that you travelled to Thailand for a period of time and am able to bring back the flavours to your home kitchen! It's one country that I would love to visit one day.
At last, vegan recipes for my new Instant Pot! Although I'm not vegan, I consider myself a reductionist and these great recipes will make the transition to veganism much smoother! Thank you Nisha! You are making the world a better place!!
i made the thai sweet potato lentil soup about 50-11 times since discovering this video last month and i love it more and more each time. i also season some take&bake bread from the supermarket bakery and bake it until its nice and crunchy so i can dip it in my soup. ugh so GOOD!
my bf is Pakistani and wanted to go plant based to get healthy with me. I am so glad I found you. No tea no shade but a lot of white people (like myself) don't flavor their food as much . Showing him that there are flavorful dishes by someone from a similar background has helped him feel more confident going into this. Thank you!
Wait a second, wtf????? I got your cookbook ages ago on Amazon when I was looking for a good vegan instant pot instant pot cookbook and it was so well done that you got me really into instant pots. I had lost the paperwork with the instant pot so I had no idea how to use it so your description of everything was incredibly helpful in the beginning. I've made so many of the recipes that I've started looking for some other options to mix it up but I still really love all the recipes I've made there. I'm not feeling well today and wanted to make something a little different so I just Google it and this video video was recommended and dad and when I saw your name I was like wait what the hell that's the same name as the lady who made the awesome cookbook. I had no idea you have a TH-cam channel! You have no idea how happy this has made me! I'm gonna try the tomato soup today but I have instantly subscribed because I know you do awesome work based on your cookbook. Thank you for making that cookbook and everything you do. Sorry for any typos I'm using speech to text and it does really weird things sometimes.
These recipes look delicious! The tip about adding tomatoes and tomato paste last (on top and not stirred in) is golden. Thank you so much for sharing with us! 💕
I just HAD to go vegan for my health. My arteries are clogged from years of eating meat. I went on a whole foods plant based diet (i.e., vegan, but non-processed low or no oil vegan) and within two weeks I lost 5kg! I look better, I feel better, and I am on track to nail my next health checkup. I don't feel deprived at all, I feel BETTER! lol. My sister came to help me get into new habits, and gifted me an instant pot to help.... so here I am.
Ok i’m methodically going through your recipes and trying them and this Thai soup is beyond good and so easy. I didn’t even puree because it ends up getting cooked quite nicely where you can stir it with a fork and everything mashes up if you leave it in natural position for 10 minutes because I forgot about it actually. Anyway thanks again for a good recipe!!
LOVED the Sweet potato soup recipe. Instead of ginger and garlic slices I used ginger garlic paste. I didn't use red lentils or agave(didn't have both),and I didn't use the blender towards the end. The soup tasted amazing even without me adding those ingredients
I would like to thank you for all your recipes and suggestions on how to save on shopping. Most of the meats are sold out in my city, so it was good that I was following more of a vegetarian diet since I've been following you. While most of my friends are freezing whatever meats they got their hands on, I'm like "I'm good. Got lots of grains and beans at home !"
Just wanted to stop in and tell you that your Thai Red Curry soup is now my husbands absolute favorite dinner :) thank you for sharing such wonderful and nourishing recipes :)
Your tip to add the tomato sauce and paste on top is gold! I've been making Misir wot (Ethiopian red lentil stew) in the instant pot and the recipe includes tomato paste (which I would stir in) and it would give me the burn warning every time! You're a life saver!
I'm so happy the tip is helpful, yay! Canned tomato products can be tricky in the IP, so this tip usually helps. And Misir Wat is SO good. We've been ordering a lot of it during the pandemic from a vegan Ethiopian restaurant but I need to try it at home too!
I made the sweet potato curry tonight and served it over jasmine rice. It was amazing! Best thing is that I have plenty of leftovers to have for the next few days.
I LOVE your recipes, all of them! Thank you so much! Your cookbook is so fantastic, not one recipe has ever let me down. SO worth it! I hope you publish more!
I'm new to vegan food and just got an instapot for my birthday. I am serious when I say my jaw dropped when I saw how good and simple these recipes are. I hit subscribe immediately. thank you
I just made the curry soup in my instapot!! OMGOSH! It’s so heavenly, comforting, & yummy! I can’t thank you enough for your recipes! You light it up with all the wonderful flavors!! I am so impressed! This will definitely be a winter recipe always in our house forever!🍃💗🍃💫
These look delicious -- can't wait to try them! For the Israeli bean soup, try using a Yemenite spice blend called "hawaij." This is the secret behind many a delicious Israeli bean soup.
Wow! I don't like parsley but so far you haven't failed me with your flavors, so I tried that Gremolata topping at the end of the White Bean Soup and it is sooooo good! Your recipes are helping me to get some much needed nutrients into my diet in the most delicious way. Thank you so much!
We just had the red curry for dinner- the only difference was i didnt purée it, i look a potatoe masher or a meat masher utensil and jsut mashed it a bit to blend it all and it makes it creamy- but also leaves some visible traces of what ingredients were. I like this ALOT. Very yummy. A home run at dinner time with the boyfriend too. We were working with what we had on hand... no naan bread- but i warmed a garlic.sesame butter mixer onto some bakery sourdough bread slices and used that as substitute to mop up the curry with. Very yummy and i feel like it was simple and not too expensive - most expensive bit was the Thai kitchen curry paste. Thanks!!
It's fall and I'm ready for some delicious hot soup; all of these recipes look amazing! I love using my instant pot to save time so I'm ready to head to the grocery store and start cooking. Thank you!!
Aww that's so nice to hear, Christopher. I find that limiting myself to one news update a day has resulted in a lot less stress. I hope that helps. Stay safe and sending positive vibes!
Got the white bean stew going in the trusty old Instant Pot now. Just have to be patient and wait for the natural release. Already made the gremolata, which smells great.
We make white bean stew in Iraq. If you want it vegetarian, it is only white beans, vegetables stock or bouillon, salt and pepper (to taste ), paprika or red pepper, cumin, onion and garlic. We use tomatoe paste and sometime add red pepper paste for extra flavor, and crushed tomatoes. Served over rice. Like what you said, it is very simple.
OMG, I made your super delicious sweet potatoes, red lentil Thai soup and the aromatic scent permeated in my whole house. The recipe was so easy to make and your instructions were great. Everyone loved it. Thank you. I love my instant pot even more because of you!!
Oh Nisha, these recipes just keep getting better and better. I am off to the grocery store right now to pick up the ingredients and stock up my pantry! Thank you! :)
Thank you for this meal prep plan. Most of the ones I’ve seen have been making an actual dish rather than the parts. The best part is I have everything but enough kale right now to make this.
I am so happy I found your channel! I have been looking for a vegan who is also interested in incorporating protein, carbs, and fat with each dish! You have amazing recipes! I am a meat eater but looking into going plant based. Your channel was a god send!
That's so nice to hear, Kimberly! I am definitely a firm believer in eating a balanced diet :) No food group exclusions or restrictions (aside from animal products, obviously). I hope you will enjoy my recipes and be inspired to eat more plant based goodness!
Thank you for these awesome recipes. Funny story, I usually rate the food I make off of three criterias: taste, texture, and how many dishes do I have to wash preparing it. Haha
your recipes just float my boat ...they all look so yummy...thanks for the tip with the burn sign as i did wonder why it says burn when funnily enough tomatoe paste n tomatoes ha ha genius ...thankyou 🤗 gonna have to make all of these ...🙂🙂
I just made this and OMG it was so delicious and super easy to make. The hardest part was remembering how to use the Instant Pot. I think it will be a staple in my house. Thank you so much!
Yum! 😋 Your recipes never disappoint!! Thank you for always challenging us with your delicious meals! Soup warms the soul; especially during these difficult and uncertain times. I love that onions, garlic, herbs and other spices are in your recipes...Great for the immune system! Thank you! 🙏🏼 Stay well!
RainbowPlantLife ...My other half is Eastern European and she grew up drinking soup almost daily...I show her all of your recipes as well! She’s just as delighted in trying your recipes, and reminds her of a taste of home. You have a true gift! Thank you!! 🙏🏼
Just bought an Instapot for better cooking habits. Love your receipe s and gonna start with sweet potato soup first! Love watching your videos. Outstanding job.
Hi there after watching your TH-cam video we went out and bought 2 insta pots and have made your first two dump and go recipes oh my goodness absolutely delicious. Thank you for you’re amazing recipes.
You are so lovely. Thank you for these recipes; I’m still learning how to use the new instant pot and experimenting with creative recipes. I tend to add a little meat to the vegan dishes; but the flavour is still there!
I was thinking of adding chicken or something. I’m new to instant pot - curious how do you figure the timing when you add meat? :) any tips would be helpful, thanks!
i seriously don't understand why people waste their valuable time to come to vegan channels to give a thumb down. don't they have something better to do than let their hate take over their lives? are their lives that miserable? seriously. be kind people. it goes a long way. if you don't like vegan food channels, why click on it in the first place? no one is forcing it on you.
Absolutely love this video! I have not tried your recipes yet but everything always looks so delicious & fresh! So inspiring! Would love to see more dump & go IP recipes 💛
Do it. I love mine, and I recently bought Nisha's cookbook, which has made me use it much more and make (way) better food! I know I sound like an ad, but I cannot recommend this enough! :-)
I can't wait to try these out. I adore 1 pot recipes with unique flavor profiles. The way your knife was so easily going through the veg...I have knife envy! I checked out the knife link you provided, but I didn't see the same knife. Could you share where you got this knife please?
I'm so glad you liked the recipes :) I just updated the description box withe knife featured in this video (this one, along with the other one linked in the decsription box, are my absolute favorites)!
I just bought an instant pot for the first time. I've looked at a lot of your videos in the past and that's one of the reasons I bought it. I'm looking forward to making some of these recipes. As a family of vegetarians it's always a great thing to come across your videos! One question that may be you or someone else may be able to answer. I thought you did not need to soak beans overnight if you're cooking them in an instant pot? I was wondering why you were soaking beans and chickpeas overnight? Thanks!
I made the Thai red curry soup OMG! Thank you for sharing it was so delicious and filling I was very surprised at how filling it was. But that’s coming from a Reformed meat and potatoes girl. I don’t think I’m full vegan I think I’m more vegetarian. But this was so delicious thank you.
RainbowPlantLife I do that in soups and stews. I have also added prunes to chili to balance out the flavors. I really don’t like to waste food either so it works well.
A bubble bath with some relaxing music.
RainbowPlantLife I’ve been cooking for relaxation & stress relief.
Dancing to 80s and 90s music like no one is watching (no one is watching).
Praying, thanking God, and video games.

How’s she doing Dello? Wishing her good health
Is it equally delicious if i use a classic crock pot???
That’s a great present, hope you and your wife are still enjoying it.
It's so amazing that you travelled to Thailand for a period of time and am able to bring back the flavours to your home kitchen! It's one country that I would love to visit one day.
It's such a beautiful country with the most delicious food! I hope you can make it there one day :)

My instant pot meals are never this pretty, amazed at how you make them so tasty and beautiful! Oh, and also your hair looks AMAZING.
HA, there is a bit of work that goes into food styling lol. And thank you!
All of these dishes look amazing, really great combination of aromatics and ingredients. Lime is so crucial to Thai curry so kudos for including it!

It's such a great tip!

After scrolling through hours of news coverage on the coronavirus, your videos are a breath of fresh air
I hope you enjoyed it! Gremolata is one of my fave condiments to perk up a meal!
Excited to try the fennel chickpea stew! I've been wanting to cook with fennel but didn't know what to make. Now I do :)
Yay, glad to hear that Liz! Fennel is such an underrated and delicious veggie!

Aww you're so sweet Karen! I am so happy you like them. Hope you enjoy the recipes!
Now all I need is a slow cooker... I've got the ingredients already. Thank you so much for the amazing recipe! ❤
Thank you :) I use the pressure cook setting on the instant pot, but a slow cooker might work as well!
Just made the tomato fennel chickpeas and brown rice and it's delicious!!! Very fulling and hearty!! ❤️
I make freezer bags instant pot meals like this, so easy. Can meal prep when you have time and use it whenever needed
Oh, and I used canned chickpeas b/c that was all I had on hand and it still turned out great. I will use soaked chickpeas the next time I make this.
After binge watching like 15 of your videos and sending them all to my mother I subscribed!
Aww haha I love that you sent them to your mother. So cute!
Thank you for this meal prep plan. Most of the ones I’ve seen have been making an actual dish rather than the parts. The best part is I have everything but enough kale right now to make this.
I love this instapot!!! It’s so easy to use, clean and cook with!!

Haha
Love those criteria :) And you're very welcome!
It's starting to get hot, so these instant pot recipes are well timed! I'm excited to make these because I don't want to hear my house. Thank you!

I just Cooked the Sweet Potato Thai Curry to day and it is delicious. Thank you for your recipe.
Hi there after watching your TH-cam video we went out and bought 2 insta pots and have made your first two dump and go recipes oh my goodness absolutely delicious. Thank you for you’re amazing recipes.

The red curry soup is Amazing!!! I had to purchase the instant pot cook book! Thank you for all that you do!
You are so welcome, Quintin!
That looks delicious. I'll be getting an instant pot and for my vegetarian journey.👍
i seriously don't understand why people waste their valuable time to come to vegan channels to give a thumb down. don't they have something better to do than let their hate take over their lives? are their lives that miserable? seriously. be kind people. it goes a long way. if you don't like vegan food channels, why click on it in the first place? no one is forcing it on you.
Absolutely wonderful! [from someone who has hated sweet potato all her life] - Until now ! ♥
Great videos. Does anybody else use the sauté function first for their onion, garlic, fennel, carrots, celery, etc?
I do but just be careful to deglaze the pot really well with the stick or it can result in getting the “burn” message once you start pressure cooking!
That yellow/green of your shirt is YOUR color. Gorgeous!
I thought the same thing with dump lol!! You are so funny

Just got my instant pot. Going to try all of these. They look amazing! 🎉
I can't wait to try these out. I adore 1 pot recipes with unique flavor profiles. The way your knife was so easily going through the veg...I have knife envy! I checked out the knife link you provided, but I didn't see the same knife. Could you share where you got this knife please?
I'm so glad you liked the recipes :) I just updated the description box withe knife featured in this video (this one, along with the other one linked in the decsription box, are my absolute favorites)!
your videos make me so excited to cook! thankful for you!
I'm so glad! That's the best feedback :)

Hi! These are great recipies! Just wanted to say you can totally use those fennel stalks, they're amazing candied 😊
I love watching your videos. Thanks for sharing your great recipe ideas.
So delicious and healthy. I often throw in an overripe piece of fruit to add sweetness.
Thank you Ana! What kind of recipes do you do that for?
RainbowPlantLife I do that in soups and stews. I have also added prunes to chili to balance out the flavors. I really don’t like to waste food either so it works well.

Sounds perfect. Might do the same later today!
