How to fix the recovery server could not be contacted error on macOS.

Guys when you reboot your Mac, simultaneously hold down these keys Command + Option + R (not just Apple/Command + R). In the 'Reinstalling MacOS' field, it will offer you Ventura. If you only hold down 'Command + R,' the system takes you to an older recovery setup offering older OS like High Sierra, which Apple no longer supports. That's why you get the message: 'Recovery Server Could Not Be Contacted.' So all that changing the time stuff won't help. Good luck 😊

Same, all of this started for me because i needed to factory reset it to sell it, was my first time resetting a macbook and think i wiped the disk or something, have no idea how to get it to install again i try everything that these videos sugest and still get the same prompt and everytime i have to start over it takes about ten mins a time to get into recovery mode. macs suck dude they are so over complicated.

People might want High Sierra instead of latest version though. But nice video anyway (for factory version of macOS, hold shift+option+command+r)

Actually, When you hold Option + Cmd + R then the recovery always install the Ventury OS version, but I want to downgrade to High Sierra OS version I have to go to recovery by hold Cmd + R and Macbook Pro 2017 is be error again. I think, Apple is locked the old Macbooks to downgrade
