- The Triumph Daytona was once the peak middleweight sportbike in the brand's stable. Now, it's something similar yet different. Friendlier than before, the 2024 Daytona shares its bones with the Trident 660, but with sportbike flair and ergonomics. It's no super sport now, but is it still worthy of the Daytona name? Let's find out on this episode of Beyond The Ride.

Beautiful cinematography
Great bike with great heritage. Nice review Jinno and team.
Present Sir Jinno 🙋
Deserves a better dash
True but having owned an 765 RS, I’m not a fan of triumph TFTs. This is easier to read and looks cleaner imo.
Nice review
Love from 🇮🇳
Great review as always, the new Daytona looks good but I feel like they should’ve named it something else and make a Daytona 765 rs
The old beloved Daytona T595 (or later 955i) was actually a great (and beautiful) road sport bike. Not so track oriented, slightly on the heavy side, but with great engine, chassis, brakes and suspension. This seems too soft and refined. I would have considered it more, if it was a 765. Normal, not any "RS" or "Moto2 edition" or any of that bullshit.
Not so much for the hp. The 765 engine has still some of the old 3-cylinder "rawness", and better bottom end torque, while the 660 feels more like a smooth, well-tuned 4-cylinder. If you like it or not, it 's something objective, but personally I don't.
I still don't understand why are they so hung up on the old Daytona, most of the people have never ridden one, but pretend as if it was their daily ride😂, this is where the middle weight sports bike market is heading to, by trying to justify this by old Daytona, you are basically saying that whole Japanese sports bike market is a fool, for doing this. Companies will never make a decision on what sentiments it touches, but what sells, so get off the high horse!!!
Nice bike ❤❤❤
this one will sell like donuts
Another catalogue review, time to change this dude
12:00 549K?? Looks like it has its crosshairs on Kawasaki's head
nah
Hated the cockpit. Dash looks outdated. They need to upgrade the dash.
As much as I love the brand, but here in the Philippines Triumph has bad after sales support. My Tiger 660 will be the first and last Triumph I will ever own. Outside the Phils it’s a different story.
maybe 1or 2 owners only out there....compared to yamaha/kawasaki....plenty owners...
This vs CBR650?
Cbr is better aesthetically. Mahal ng konti but very small margin lang yugn walang e clutch.
@@zylynlamis9285 aesthetics are pretty subjective, the CBR is more in your face, this is more subdued but they are at least equally attractively styled in a more objective sense I think.
@@seeingeyegod if daytona integrated their signal lights maganda sana tignan tapos yung cockpit nya the dash looks outdated it needs to be redesigned.
200kmh for 10 sec impressive but still to early speed limiter come. Remap!
The bikes finishing feels cheap. Lacks features. Okay for newbies
A good bike spoiled by the ugly dash and fake frame (cover)
Nah. This daytona does not come close to the real daytona
Looks outdated.
I would’ve sold my kidneys for this bike if it was what it should’ve been …. An upgrade! Not such a disappointing downgrade 😢
Back from the BRINK ?????? a 660cc anything, heck a 125cc scooter would be a BFD to Filipinos.... back from the brink .. from the 147 hp 78ft lb torque Triumph Daytona triple 955i, to the 118HP Daytona 675 ... to this.. what 100hp @ crank 660 "Daytona" a useless non-adjustabe forks, barely useless shock.. the body work, fasteners are cheap looking... I own a 2005 Daytona 955.. and it's absolutely easy peasey to ride.... cheap plenty of parts still available as it's shares parts w/ > 2010 Speed Triple.. It's doesn't compare to my 2003 999 w/ FBF prepped 102mm overbore kitted testastretta 149rwhp, 86 ftlbs full aftermarket Ohlins.. Marchesnini kompe wheels, full Termignoni exhaust ..but the Daytona 955i can be had in mint condition for less than $4000 to 3500 or less.. To badge this POS 660 in the iconic "Daytona' name.. which won a few IOMTT supersport races... is a CRIME.. is a kick in the teeth to Triumph Daytona owners ... What a piece of ever loving junk ..
Such a subjective review. Basing everything on the "Daytona" name. Apparently influenced by earlier reviews of diehard daytona fans who just can't move on. It's a capable and good performing bike for its price and category. If you want a faster bike then you need to burn hundreds of thousands of pesos more which defeats the purpose of this bike.
Because the name "Daytona" is more than just a name for Triumph brand. If you're not capable understanding that, then that's on you.
It's their new Daytona. It's what they wanted the Daytona to be. Take it up with triumph
lol.. should use other name.. ruined daytona legacy
