kinda miss my honda rebel. this was my first big bike. sa lahat ng gusto mag honda rebel go for it promise this will be the bike that you will always miss. watched this video even if nagka rebel na ako noon. best things about the rebel based on experience: 1. pinaka lightest clutch ever promise pinaka magaan. mas magaan pa kesa sa sniper155 2. masarap pakinggan ang exhaust. (best exhaust ay Diablo bom and yung vance and hince) yan dalawa pinaka the best 3. starts off as a heavy bike pero gagaan after a week.(speaking from me na galing sa KLX na sobrang gaan) 4. maraming maraming parts available(modification and accessories) 5. at high rpm maririnig mo na lalabas ang CBR spirit nya hahaha (same engine kase sa cbr500) 6. sobrang reliable ng bike. really a good beginner bike kase di madali masira if lage kang nagkakamali all in all very forgiving bike. 7. tipid sa gas pde na daily driver. 8. kahit na sabihin nila na beginner bike di ka parin mabibitin sa power CONS: 1. akala mo marami chix magkakagusto pero in reality barumbadong mga lalake lalapit sayo at magpapapicture sa bike mo 2. might be madaling ma outgrow kase sa sobrang dali nya i drive feeling mo masarap na mag upgrade (can also a good kase pag tingin mo sa marketplace marami 2nd hand namababa mileage so dont have to buy a brand new bike)

Hi, I'm just curious if the mix between your language and English is actually how you speka in your language? Or why do you do it? Also, which language is it? Thanks!
@@mdmandy oh hi there. Im from the philippines. the guy who asked me a question was also from the philippines but in a different region specifically from the northern part so basically we speak a different language. i can speak a little of his but there are some words that i dont know so i use english instead. :) probably better if i spoke english all the way. :D sorry tho
This was my first bike in 2017. It was a fun bike. Plenty of power for a beginner but I outgrew it within 3 years. My only complaints were the seat being absolutely horrible and I could never find an exhaust that I really liked. I ended up keeping the Vance and Hines in the end. Own a Triumph Speed Twin now. Very happy to have had the Rebel as my introduction to motorcycling
My wife just bought this bike, I drove it home and I have to say it was buttery smooth easy to ride super comfortable and I really dug I thought was a great bike. Plenty of useable power, reminded me of my beginner bike my cb500x. Except laid back cruiser style. I will say at 5’9”, I felt a little bit on it but ergonomics were still fine I def wasn’t uncomfortable, but my wife is 5’4” and fits her perfectly.
Great bike for young beginners, and older riders getting back into riding, and wanting to get away from their 1000 lb gold wings. Best feature is that it limits you to two lane highways and city driving until you build up your confidence. I also recommend the non ABS brake model to be able to change brake fluid every two years. The bike is easy to change oil on, and I do so every season w/air cleaner. Too many riders don’t realize how much it costs to maintain their motorcycles if they don’t learn to do it themselves and take it to the dealership.
Did you replace your stock seat? Im looking at buying a new motorcycle and the rebel 500 is on the top of the list. Only complaint i have been hearing is the seat is horrid and a decent aftermarket seat is close to a grand in Australia.
@johnm7788 It softens up nicely with time, but nobody rides it enough. It's @73k miles now, and still on the original battery. If you're in California hit up Poway Powersports, they don't charge assembly, no markup, no add-ons and they will drop below MSRP. Mine was $4,900, and after taxes $6,200 out the door.
So many talk about a "beginner bike," but so few of these bikes are equipped with the device that would make it one - a belt drive! No lube! No oil spraying around! Next to no maintenance! 100k miles between replacements!
If we talk about the brand...no question! Honda is excellent! But what i don't like rebel are these: 1. Chain drive (cruiser is best in belt drive). 2. Tank capacity(11 ltrs is too small). 3. 180 degree krankshaft (270 is my preference or v-twin) I'm particular with exhaust sound. 4. Non USD fork. I'd rather buy the coming benda chinchilla 450. The only edge rebel has against benda chinchilla is the brand. But everything rebel is far behind in every aspects. Looks and features are all for chinchilla 450.
The Horn button placement is based on Japan's law regarding horn. Japan doesn't really use horns that much. Only Honda does it on Japanese bikes though as far as I know.
started with a rebel 500 and then added a tracer 9 gt. the rebel is probably the best city bike because its light, simple, and the engine or air from the radiator wont burn your legs but it is quite lacking on longer rides. the tracer on the other hand is the complete opposite. great for long rides but impractical in the city.
in about 3 months i'll be able to buy another motorcycle, but im stuck between this bike and the royal enfield hunter 350. i love the look of both and i just cant make up my mind.
Ask for a test ride on both. I think you'll find the RE a little underpowered. But at the end of the day comfort and finance are the telling factors. The RE might well be cheeper to run. (Insurance, servicing costs, spares).
My iggest issue with Japanese bikes are thumps or rumble, they just lack it. I prefer the longstroke Harley 440. Japanese bikes are usually high revving engines, not for low revving, usable torque motorcycles.
You can usually find used Royal Enfield Continental GT650’s/Interceptor 650’s for cheap. They’re inexpensive new even. I’m around 5’10 and an interceptor fit me well.
Just wishing and hoping that Honda could launch rebel series in India as the consumers are really willing to go for an addition of Bobber type and low seat heights motorcycles.🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️❤️❤️🤞🏻
in hot countries like the Philippines the wind is not a big problem when riding, but in countries with short summers it is not a pleasure to ride such bikes🥶
i always wanted a Rebel, but like in france it's 7200 freakin euros brand new (not includings fees to put it on the road), and almost the same price for a used one, guess what, i'm gonna go with the 450 CLC, wich also have full feet forward that i really like brand new, for the price of a used Rebel
I hope they made the seats better, that's the only complaint I hear from owners is that your ass would hurt after 30 minutes of riding which is weird for a cruiser.
I hate how they switched the horn and turn signal. I’ve been on the Honda for 6 months and my life long muscle memory still hasn’t adjusted. I should swap that whole switch part with a regular one from a different brand
i have mt09 but riding that bike are tiring and not fun, i want to swap it to rebel instead..mt09 wasted on me tbh, better it have a owner that will use all the power it have..i just want slow ride at 80-90kmph speed..
the only thing na hindi ko gusto sa rebel is yung looks talaga.... di ko trip yung napaka habang fuel tank nya medyo napapangitan ako sakanya dahil sa tank....
It was an OK review, but if you have the resources and the lack of, shall I, say the possibility of being sued by caco and his team. I say, you should copy a bit of what they do! GT and older TopGear episodes also! The review lack soul, if I wanted a "play by play" I'd rather read a brochure. I swear though, avon and natasha did a better job selling bras. Leave it to them! Go sell me some motorcycle. ❤️
You are from a different planet if you think the stock seat is comfortable it's just not its way to hard of all the rebels faults the seat is the worst by a country mile and suggesting that it is good for a long ride is a little disingenuous
I'm 6"3 and got so excited to buy a rebel... until I test drove 1. Looked about as silly as I felt riding it so I couldn't pull the trigger. As I rolled it back in after my test drive I saw the (then new) Honda cl 500, test drove it and it's perfect. Bought it outright.

The concern is that the key is located on the side, and there's a worry that someone might try to pull it out when stopped at a stoplight.
