  • Automation is on its way - with safety, and convenience. We want to continue enjoying the mobility that cars offer us in the future. But there is one thing Bosch wishes to eliminate: the potential for human errors. Automated driving is the key to achieving this goal. In order to drive itself, a vehicle must be capable of more than just driving. An automated vehicle not only needs to master all traffic regulations, but it must also have all the other skills that a human requires to drive a car. It must "see" and interpret its surroundings, make decisions independently, and operate the accelerator, brakes and steering wheel by itself. Where are we on the road to automated driving? And what does automation mean for mobility in general?

hi there, nice video but one thing i would disgree with, you used TESLA car which is not mentioned anywhere in the video not even in the video's description, not criticising but actually very keen to know that what BOSCH has done with this model to bring even more autonomy in the car, I saw another video th-cam.com/video/9PGgYl_CJng/w-d-xo.html fromBOSCH, where I could not completely understand that they said something that they have kind of recreated the TESLA car ? but hiding the TESLA's logo from the steering ? why ? comments are also disabled there, I would be thankful if you can clarify those confusions

You assumed right: We use Tesla vehicles to test our highly automated systems on public roads. These are not just regular Teslas - To make them ready for automated driving, they have been specifically retrofitted with fifty new Bosch components. And even though the technology on board the test vehicles is designed to handle any situation in freeway traffic, Bosch’s safety concept includes specially trained test drivers which supervise the system at any time.
