I actually like seeing you have some home projects unfinished 😅 it makes me feel like I'm not the only one. Our bathroom still needs one wall dry walled and painted, half the floor still needs to be put in, and downstairs under the bathroom we have a ceiling that needs drywalled and textured because we had unexpected flooding and needed the plumber to come in.. husband decided to save money to finish dry wall himself but it's been like that for months 🥴
We are all there Kylee. We all have not finished house :) you are not the only one. You should see every wall in my house has some marks made by my kids. They are so small, it’s not even to point to paint it just yet, until they understand they can’t paint on the wall. Hopefully that day will come 😂
Same here! We still have a kitchen, hallway and spare bathroom that needs prep work for painting, finish getting fixtures for two bathrooms and get AC/heat system serviced before winter hits. Never been thru a winter in Kentucky (usually have been in the southwest - AZ & TX)
If you make yourself spend some time on those annoying little things you feel so much better as they get done =) starting is the hardest part, just plan in some time in the next free weekend.
@@manonborst4769 it has nothing to do with time in our case. We do what we can with all extra time. We had so many unexpected things happen that money had to go towards plumbing bills, washer breaking down and replacing, and medical bills from high risk pregnancy. Yes, I know putting time towards projects will make me feel better trust me we don't put a minute of our time to waste. However, we follow dave ramsey and only pay with cash for home projects even if it means unfinished projects for a couple months while we come up with extra cash. Since we had to dip into our projects money to cover unexpected expenses that needed taken care of right away.
#backtofall 🍎 I also wanted to say how much I appreciate you mentioning the neurodivergence thing and that you're planning to have sensory things available to help them with that - when I was in grade school (in school K-2, homeschooled 3-6), one of my teachers took away the couple things I was using as fidgets because she thought I was being distracted by them (I wasn't, they were helping me get through whatever we were doing at the time), and in 7th grade my art teacher (art was by far my hardest subject in junior high, and it took me a long time and a lot of effort to bring myself to get anything done in that class, only made worse by the fact that everyone else in my class was far better and faster at it than I was) took away my kneaded eraser (he may or may not have given it back at the end of the semester - art was only one semester), which was the stress buster and fidget I always used while I was working up the motivation to do, or if I got stuck on or frustrated with, whatever project I was working on in class (HowToADHD calls it the "wall of awful"), and after that it was almost impossible for me to get anything done in that class at all.
So sad to hear this! I actually put playdoh on my 4th grader’s class supply list because it is such a wonderful (quiet) fidget. We keep a “busy box” for those kinds of things and it has been awesome for minimizing classroom distractions.
@@Danielle-uw5df Thank you for doing that - it's such a small thing to do but it make such a big difference for kids (and adults) who need it. It may or may not have made a difference for me in that art class if we had already known that I had ADHD (didn't find out until 5 years later, about 2 months shy of graduating high school - some might consider that really early, but for me it was extremely late), but I don't think that particular art teacher would have cared either way; thankfully, the other art teachers I had were really great, especially the one I had in 8th and 12th (we had art in 7th, 8th, 11th, and 12th) - super laid back and always willing to help, especially with getting to the root of what was getting us stuck on our projects and helping us work through the snags, and never got annoyed with us if we got up and walked around the room during class (we were free to get up and look at what others in our class were working on), or if I just sat at my desk playing with my eraser (that ended up kind of becoming an unspoken cue that I needed some help).
A couple teacher tips that may help: a stackable paper tray they can decorate with stickers, etc. to customize can be a great place to prep and stack with what they need for the day/week save time and space to grab and go. Also those plastic stacker bins are great for seasonal and themed learning tools to tuck away in a closet and pull out at that season or theme-and having an emergency day bin is a pro tip for when you need them to continue but aren’t feeling well.
Honestly, this turned out to be such a cute homeschool area! I wonder what else you can find around the house! 🤩 the whole scissor situation made me laugh, “Am I running a daycare?” Hahaha😂
#backtofall I need to mesh harvest season (garden and livestock) with winter prep (getting the yard and barnyard set for snow and cold) and increased grandchild time (to aid homeschooling) and volunteer situations (church preschool, homeschool group). It takes me all fall to do this transition. What I anticipate when I finish each or organize each is that I can do more of my inside work that I've neglected (decluttering, cooking, home repair, sewing). My husband has been retired for a year so we are still working out our farm and other commitments, particularly our family. I don't want to wish this time away though; mostly I want to feel happy that I am able to live this life this way. But I do so love the warmer lighter season :)
#backtofall. I was actually doing my homeschool room with you. We do school year round but the room needed a refresh so thank you!!! Making things more functional is what I’m working with. Have Nero diverse children and mess is always something we struggle with. I have to just tell myself things will be messy and that’s ok!!
My boys are beyond the school years but I do enjoy looking at school supplies at Target. Besides homeschooling my older son for a few years I also taught for a number of years at my church's school so buying supplies and curriculum was how I spent my August. I love Ikea's Billy bookcases. Have held up for 35 years.
#backtofall I've been holding off on tackling the monster that is my girls' room for as long as I possibly could! Now that seems to be the only thing left! Excited to see your curriculum choices!
We used an old tall dresser for shoes and the top drawer was a junk drawer at our old house because it was there when we moved in. It ended up working amazing. We had cube shelves for current shoes and boots and the. The ones that were not every day we kept in the drawers. It worked awesome! I do not have a ton of drawers in my home but I think I am a drawer person too.
#backtofall I've recently realized the bin holding my completed crochet projects won't hold anymore. I really need empty it out, take pictures, and post them to either be given away, donated, or something. Then there's pulling seasonal clothes to see what needs to be bought for the kids. And realizing we seriously need to start researching what homeschool requirements and resources are available where we live. Our eldest has a late birthday so we could start now, but will probably wait until next year when little brother is a bit older and hopefully I'll have more bandwidth for the juggling act.
#backtofall I think one major thing that would help me feel blessed, not stressed in the coming school year is to really sit down by myself and review the new curriculum that I have for my six year old before we set into it. Getting a clear view of the overall vision I want for this school year has been on the top of my list!
I’m a first year home school mom. My daughter will be pre-K. She goes to school two days a week and my goal is to supplement and help her with pencil control and letter recognition. Her birthday is just a couple days past the school cut off day and my goal is to convince our local school to let her in anyway because I am 95% sure she’ll be ready for kindergarten next fall. I’ve been watching your videos since messy too minimal started, and now I’m loving all your homeschool content!
if you move the black tabletop board to the right you would leave the gap on the left next to the wall. You could prop a white board or bulletin board in that space where it could be used but not hung. I can imagine putting notes on it or a little piece of kid art or magnets. just an idea :)
#Backtofall One of my children broke his leg this summer so we have actually schooled most of the summer. Thank you homeschool flexibility. We are actually taking a long fall break and looking forward to hikes, bonfires, and just being outside. We do not have a homeschool room, but I am now feeling moviated to clean our homeschool "corner".
I'm not a homeschool mum (UK mum), my eldest is starting her first year of school this year. But I love your homeschool content, as it gives me so many ideas to support my daughters education alongside school. So thank you! If you could do more homeschool content I would love that ❤
#backtofall One of the biggest things I have been struggling with is managing my digital clutter. I recently bought a hard drive that I believe will help, but organizing the clutter is one of the hardest things. When I uploaded all of my photos, the dates did not transfer with the images, only the year it was taken did. I also have so many school-related papers and documents because I am in my last year of undergrad which I take online. I love being able to plan digitally for my classes and prepare my notebooks because it makes me feel ready and prepared for the school year.
Natalie! I loved this video, the school room looks amazing, simple yet functional, looks like a traditional school with the map, globe, alphabet, all in simple tomes. You are an amazing Mom and human being. Your videos are so inspirational, your calm demeanor makes them even better! Lol. The map matches the putty ! That was funny! Thanks for sharing!
I know this is off topic, but I wanted to tell you that you look a lot like my sister-in-law. Your demeanor is a lot like hers, too. She's an absolutely amazing person, and I don't get to see see her (or my brother and their kids) as often as I'd like. Watching you always reminds me of her, and that makes my heart feel so much joy. So thanks, just for being you, and for letting your light shine for he rest of us. 💜
Two things crossed my mind: 1- I would just add a garbage or recycling bin next to the wall where the drawer hits the window. Practical and saves a lot of work. 😛 2- You can use sticky tack to keep those bins from sliding inside the drawers. 😉
🍎. The asked drawers are amazing!! I have them with a counter top for a desk top and it's an amazing desk. I also use the closet system as a bookcase and put the drawers in the bottom to hold stuff. They also make great pantry organizers to use the drawers fruit and veggies
We need to finish our tv room trim. My husband cuts and routs it then I stain and poly. We both install. It isn't a difficult task, just time-consuming. I will be so glad to complete that project.
🍎 your declutter and organizing of the homeschooling area was amazing. I love how you swapped the two pieces of furniture that you had to help meet the need for the book case. For me the project that I am working on so I will be blessed and not stressed during this #Backtofall preparation time is making sure the weatherization process is taken care of around my home, so when that cool crisp air comes my home will remain cozy inside.
The room turned out so cute. I love that you always put function over beauty..... But end up having beauty anyhow. Function is always my biggest want. I love the systems you used. And when you change things up that don't serve you as well as they could. ♥️
Kids scissors were my biggest category when I organized my school supply stash. I think it’s because we bought a new pair every year and they always come home. I’m trying not to buy anything except binders and notebooks this year because I need to use up all the extras. With any luck I’ll finish before they graduate.
#backtofall One of the things I am dreading to tackle is my daughter's clothes. Since I need to start looking into more autumn-ish clothes means taking out clothes she has outgrown which means she has grown. That always makes me so emotional because I just realise how fast time goes by. Also your hair looks amaaazing and it is sooo long!!! You are our modern day Rapunzel😍
🍎 We will be homeschooling at our kitchen table this year since we don't have a separate room - so grateful for some wisdom and ideas from you! Love your functionality focus rather than trying to be 'Pinterest Perfect'. I find myself wishing for a fellow homeschooling, homesteading, Christ-focused friend like you in my neck of the woods - feeling like I'm on an island and not the vacation kind!
I’m starting my Back to Fall in July this year because last year I started at the beginning of August and promptly caught pneumonia, along with many things going awry and I wished I had an extra month. Not this year. Lol. So, I’m rewatching for some body doubling and encouragement. Thanks for your ever-encouraging outlook!
Hey Natalie, thank you so much for all the encouragement and great content of your videos! I also love, "It is Well" playing in the background. On your drawer system maybe you could just move them over a smidge so the one draw would clear the window seal and possibly lower the map of the United States to cover up the undone wall. I sooo love your garden, those sunflowers are spectacularly beautiful!!! God bless you!
#backtofall I’ve been teaching early childhood in the private school setting for the past 9 years, and this is my first year in the public school system. Our first week of school is actually the is week and I’ve been working my way through tackling going through all of the supplies I’ve accumulated over the years. I know once I can take a good inventory and see what I need to purchase for my new little students I will feel so much better. Even though you are working in a homeschool setting, your organization ideas are giving me some inspiration for my class.
#backtofall My big to-do was a big reorganization project of our basement, which is where our homeschool space is. That got a bit derailed when we came home from vacation to find that basement had flooded, so it just became a much larger to-do. I'm trying my best to stay optimistic and remember that it means I now get to make some design choices that better fit my style!
I would feel so blessed to get my homeschool space set up! We moved to our new house almost a year ago and have been trying to get projects done and settle into our space but this is also the first year I’m homeschooling my daughter! Grateful she is only in Kindergarten, but I still have so much organizing to do in our learning room/guest bedroom. I also have a baby boy due in November so I’ve got all sorts of things on my to do list but this is the biggest one. Thank you for this series- you give me such realistic views and great motivation. #backtofall
#backtofall - autumn is when I am most inspired! We bought a house back in April and it’s been a whirlwind of figuring out house projects, organizing, what to donate/keep/sell, and slowly decorate. Now that the weather is cooling down, I finally have the push to do more around the house and slowly decorate. I guess summer makes me lazy because it’s too hot to do anything 😅
#backtofall The last school year was a big struggle for my kindergartner. She was evaluated over the summer and diagnosed with ADHD, dyslexia and dyscalculia. He is so smart but just needs different ways to help him learn. So getting an IEP in place at school and figuring out ways to help him at home is a big thing on my to do list as the school year starts and he goes into first grade.
I didn't think I'd like the drawer system but now you're making me rethink our new homeschooling space. We'll have a house for the first time in almost 2 years and need to find organization options for our homeschool supplies
#backtofall our youngest daughter graduated from college in May, started a new job, and just moved into her first apartment. August is is the month to declutter and make lists of what we would like to see our home look like. Very empty except the garage and goodwill trip is on the list for Saturday. Definitely a season that is hard and happy as we are now empty nesters. All three daughters have their own home. 😀
Also, I always appreciate how you shop your house for the things you need. Be it bins, baskets or furniture. I do that a lot and oftentimes it can be easy to just want to buy something new and become discontent with using just what you have on hand already. Thank you so much for being a good reminder that using old is OK.
It looks so much calmer!!👏🏻👏🏻. Maybe make a desk with the top you bought on top of two of the drawers…. And make another like it with other wood painted black.
I agree with organizing in shallower drawers. You should look into Ikea's trofast system. They have different sized bins/drawers. The shallower ones are great.
#backtofall I actually feel pretty ahead this year. We moved last year right before school started, so it was a crazy mess. I think I am just anxious to get started.
When you shared you have ADHD it clicked for me why your methods works so good most of the time for me while others haven't - I too have ADHD. Thank your for continue to share things, struggles and successes and processes with me and everyone else.
Well, I don't think I can be accused of procrastinating, I've already bought all our books and most of the supplemental stuff and we're not even starting our school year until January🤣 In my defense my twins are starting kindergarten and I've been waiting for this moment for a very long time and I'm just a little bit excited. We're keeping things really relaxed and using lots of living books.
#backtofall We are entering into kindergarten this year (so excited!) and I have been trying to decide on storage/display options that will be functional for our dual purpose space in our living room. I think I have finally settled on the decision to find a large open book shelf, for supplies, books, curriculum and open ended toys to live, so that’s my goal to complete this month! Next step is just to order our curriculum we have picked out and then get it all set up so we are ready to dive in. Getting those two things completed is going to bring so much relief 🙏🏻🍎
I love to see the homeschooling breakdown for your family. It is something that we have considered for a while now. What curriculum do you use? Our task at hand is adjusting to our new schedules at our new schools and switching bedrooms for all of the kids. 😅🍎 #BacktoFall
I'd love our home renovation to be completely finished by this fall. We've been working on it for three long years, and it would feel so good to rest and enjoy our family for a season! We can see the finish line now. I feel quite blessed already that my dreams are coming true, but I'd feel extra blessed and not stressed if it was all done haha
#backtoschool 🍎my girls start preschool the Wednesday after labour day. They will go Monday, Wednesday, Friday. This Friday they will be spending with grandparents since that won't happen much after school starts. We have a spare room that holds all my decorations and sewing and art things plus a giant bed that just irks me because it's never used. Since the girls will be gone, that room will be tackled and fall decorations pulled out. I have a bulk supply of trash bags that will be getting used. It's a big project.
Hi lovely lady fab work! Well done 👍 I LOVE that you’ve included some natural wood (my fav) we just nabbed an incredible hardwood set of drawers from a thrift store with the cutest legs and are using it as our TV stand. I’ve popped on to say - we had same issue with overhang but we angled it so that it made like a triangle shape with the corner wall and stood out at an angle which meant we could pop a gorgeous monstera plant on a pedestal in behind - or you could pop a tall lamp in behind it for some gentle lighting when you’re using it as a cosy corner Just a thought would love to see if it works for your home ♥️
For the game setup instead of buying an actual desk Ikea sells the separate tops and legs. I'm pretty sure that's a lot cheaper, I'm currently planning my new gaming desk setup and I'll probably be using that option or using the alex drawers with some legs for my desk. I want to personally add legs cause I'm so tall and I like having my chair higher than the lowest setting lol.
#backtofall I've been avoiding updating our home's heating system. It's still working, but old and we need to make a plan to replace it. There's so much that I AM excited for-- fall cooking and baking, cozy clothes, cooler and drier weather, and my little one to head off to preschool for the first time!
#backtofall ❤️ I had so many good intentions this summer. One of them was. A serious purge and reorganization of my sewing room. Once these kids go back to school (day after Labor Day), it is my top priority. I'm intentionally "putting it off" to relieve stress until them.
🍎 Since you asked for it. Have you considered swinging all that around to be under the window. you could spread the units out, get a second desk top and make a long desk space? You could even put it on the window wall and make a bunch of work stations. It is fun watching you set things up to make them functional for you and your family. Thank you for sharing your life and ideas with all of us. #backtofall #sendingoregonlove ❤🧡💛💚💙💜🤎🖤🤍
#backtofall I allow the stuff to add up over the summer. I don't declutter regularly and just allow things to be. However it makes me a little crazy so I am very much looking forward to a good declutter next week. I did the basement yesterday and already feel better. Fall is also my favorite so I like to enter it with a reset on the house.
Have you considered putting the bookshelf in angled, that way it isnt overlapping? Then maybe a light or a coat rack behind it to hold some hanging things...... just a though!
#backtofall So we have already started our homeschool year here but the one thing I haven’t done yet to get ready for the new season is go through my kids clothes clean out/buy new pieces for their wardrobes. Definitely a must on my to do list 👍🏼
#backtofall I still need to tackle our hallway closet and cupboards. We are blessed with a ton of storage in our old house, but that leads to packing away a bunch of stuff we don’t need. It needs a major declutter and reorganization for functionality.
🍎 LOVE your school room. We already started school here in FL. and I also re organized our room. I love changing things up and making it more efficient each year. God Bless.
I've been tackling all of our homeschool items/books/etc. all summer because we completely switched curricula to literature based (which led to more books then another bookshelf...), but one of the biggest things I need to tackle is my desk drawer and my closet! #backtofall
🍎 we started homeschool a month ago. I'd love to set up my school room/ family room, but our oldest son moved home and took over half our room for a bedroom. (When a person has 8 kids you put them where there's room!) So it'll have to wait! But I'm dreaming.
#BackToSchool We have a Koi Pond that has been neglected for 6 years (long story but we bought the house 3 years ago and that pond needed attention 3 years before that) we started the projected but I had no idea how much work it was going to be. We also have three little one that play summer sports, so we are working around all the things.
#backtofall I totally need to finish our garage reorganization (or initial organization, since we never did it after moving in 3 years ago). We've painted, assembled the new storage system, and power washed the floor. Next step is to find all the tools, group them (declutter if necessary), and think logically about how to put everything into the storage so that it's findable and it has a home. Then finally my husband would be able to park his truck in the garage if he chooses.
#backtofall We don't have a dedicated homeschool room as we do everything at the dining room table and all our supplies are down the hall in our makeshift "office" room where my husband works from home. So it's tough to get in there and sneak stuff out without the kids tagging along if he's in a meeting. Eventually that room will be our youngest's bedroom and we will have to relocate all the office supplies, home learning stuff, and giant bookshelves. But! I love your drawer system! Our stuff is either sorted into an old desk of mine, or else in separate little boxes/totes on open shelves in the closet and it's a bit of an avalanche nightmare. I love how sleek and elegant the matching drawer units look, and how easy it is to keep sorted, even for the kids. Definitely leaning toward something like this!
What is on my to do list before going back to school (I work at a high school) is going through our clothes. Especially for my 2.5 year old. I also need to reorganize my garage and tidy up our gardening shed. What i’m most looking forward to is harvesting in my new garden (first time gardening). Hope you’ll include gardening in the homeschooling. I wish i learned that as a kid. Good job reorganizing the home school area! #backtofall
Totally random but I love your sandals you had on. So much inspiration as well, makes me wish I could homeschool but mentally I cannot right now. It is still a dream/goal someday to homeschool my kiddos.
What if you put the book cabinet caddy corner? It might fill the space better & then it won't be overlapping the window? Just a thought. The space looks cozy & of course most importantly - Functional! Great Job as always Natalie! ♥
#backtofall I am so excited for fall. I need to declutter my house. I moved and I feel like I still haven't found my way in the new house. Awesome to see you working on it and just recognizing what works best for your family.
#backtofall I start our homeschool year next Monday. One thing I need to do is check sizes on my all of my children's fall clothes, winter coats and boots, etc. That way I can buy or order anything we need before it gets cold here! Thanks for the organizing motivation!
#backtofall. I am actually looking forward to getting ready to move. Going through everything and getting rid of things we no longer need or use. I have never done that and it’s a shock of how much stuff I had.
Back to fall. I'm trying to get my house back under control. Some how it has gotten so out of control and it driving me insane. And as a fellow Washingtonian I want to get it under control before the rain comes, also my garden is later than most and I need to get things ready for canning in this next week or so.
#backtofall ive been putting off looking for fall/winter clothes for my kiddo! Every year it just makes me so sad she’s getting bigger but I love watching her mind expand!
#backtofall meal prepping is number one on my to do list. My son is autistic and very particular about what he eats so making sure he has back up foods to eat in a pinch is my number one priority so he can make it all day at school. Also helps me keep the kitchen clean that way!
#backtofall For me it's my kids room. I'm redoing it: new paint, put together the twin bed, hang pictures, declutter clothing, find an area rug, and be VERY intentional with what toys I put back into the room vs keep in the school/play area vs declutter out of the house.....
#backtofall we are expecting our third baby in early November and I have been working hard to try to declutter and minimalism our home before he arrives! It’s just so exhausting running around after a 1 year old and 2 year old and being pregnant. I definitely feel overwhelmed at times! I just adore you and always feel more motivated after watching your videos. Thank you!
One thing I know would help lessen the stress as we head into the new school year is if I create a list of dinners to keep on rotation so theres no guessing whats for dinner or if we have the ingredients! #backtofall
#backtofall I really need to get my daughters room in order for her to start off kindergarten without any anxiety. she worries about her clothes and outfit selection so i want to help her narrow down her wardrobe and then put it all away by outfit so that it’s a seemless process for her to wake up pick something and get out the door without the stress. I can’t tell you how many times i’ve watched and rewatched you working on the kids rooms now as well as in your previous home just as motivation while working in my kids rooms it really does help feeling like I’m doing it with a friend instead of all alone Thank you!!
Yay Fall. Nat do you guys do traditional school timeline (summer off)? Some people do year round version. My kids aren’t old enough to school yet but I’m really trying to think ahead and have a vision. I’d love to hear more about your homeschool / co-op situation. What are things you’d recommend NOT buying for homeschool? What’s your favorites? 🥰 If you answer this on your insta please tell us cause I want to see!
Natalie I love how detailed you are and how you show us every little step, and every little drawer. I love that kind of thing. The room looks much cozier with your old TV cabinet and the dark counter over the small drawers. Just beautiful!
#backtofall my goal this month is to take some time to look into a rain suit and rain boots for my little one. The cold and wet months are coming soon, I know that once it's done and I've bought what I need I'll feel so much more prepared and less stressed about spending time outdoors once it starts raining!
#backtofall Honestly the thing that wpuld make me feel most prepared for the season ahead is decluttering and revisiting all my spaces. I've started with my girl's bedroom and the laundry...as I wash I pack away/throw away/give away what is not being used this season. Getting rid of extra stuff in all the areas including has kick started me feeling better prepared. I also hope to find some new storage solutions. You did great Natalie 👍 Looking forward to your school supply/curriculum video 😍🥰👍
🍎 I am hoping to get my pantry and kitchen organized to help my stepson function safely and help me not to lose my mind while we teach him proper ways to use kitchen tools and devices. Your school room looks wonderful! I love it! What a great space to teach and learn in! God bless you and keep you 💕
#backtofall I have been struggling with figuring out where to start to take the one-on-one time with my son to really figure him out and figure out how to connect with him and engage him in learning activities. Much different than his sister who can't get enough of workbooks and puzzles.
#backtofall I really want to tackle my kitchen. Last year it was so nice and tidy and now everything is overflowing and it drives me crazy every day but could not find the time yet. So in my free days I will plan a good kitchen declutter and organization! Love your series to give, they give so much inspiration and encouragement! 💕
#backtofall one thing I’d like to feel blessed not stressed about is being kinder to myself, and to give myself grace in this season of life. I know it’s not a physical task that can be done, but it’s something on my to do list that is still important🍎
#backtofall. My “blessed not stressed” thing to do is to get a menu plan put together and buy the necessary groceries so I’m all set to have home cooked family meals ready to go after the school and work days.
We are in the middle of converting our dining room into a study and a dining area (smaller kitchen table instead of a formal dining table) in preparation for my husband going back to school, and to have a better area for the kids’ toys. So I will feel blessed not stressed when that situation is under control 😅 #backtofall
What about taking the white cabinet with the sliding doors and make that your book shelves. If you take the doors off it would even make it easier for kids to get to books and see what they have. Just an idea
#backtofall I just want to organize my entire home!

Same here! We still have a kitchen, hallway and spare bathroom that needs prep work for painting, finish getting fixtures for two bathrooms and get AC/heat system serviced before winter hits. Never been thru a winter in Kentucky (usually have been in the southwest - AZ & TX)

We love to use educational shows and educational games (even just building and problem solving games) as rewards! Nice Osmo kit. ❤️😀
As a retired teacher, I am enjoying the excitement my grandchildren have for the start of school. I still love to look at school supplies every fall.
"The task right now is just to get the crap under control." Yes ma'am! Story of my life! #backtofall
#backtofall
I've recently realized the bin holding my completed crochet projects won't hold anymore.
I think drawers are the way to go for almost everything including the kitchen
If you could do more homeschool content I would love that ❤
#backtofall
One of the biggest things I have been struggling with is managing my digital clutter.
Dito! Love this comment I agree
Two things crossed my mind:
1- I would just add a garbage or recycling bin next to the wall where the drawer hits the window. Practical and saves a lot of work. 😛
2- You can use sticky tack to keep those bins from sliding inside the drawers. 😉
🍎. The asked drawers are amazing!! I have them with a counter top for a desk top and it's an amazing desk. I also use the closet system as a bookcase and put the drawers in the bottom to hold stuff. They also make great pantry organizers to use the drawers fruit and veggies
Such a wonderful time in your lives! I always homeschooled, my children are now grown. We ALL miss the wonderful Hs'ing days. Your area is awesome.
*I nearly fell over in excitement when I saw you posted this.* back to school the most wonderful time of the year!!!🙌🏼
We need to finish our tv room trim.
#backtofall
The last school year was a big struggle for my kindergartner.
The cupboard under the stairs is like a black hole!!! I’ve started it so just need to keep on track. Great inspirational video x
I shared the trofast system in this video! I just ended up with the wrong size!
@@NatalieBennett oh haha 🤦🏻♀️ I was unable to finish the video....mama duties called 😄
#backtofall
I actually feel pretty ahead this year.
Angle that brown cabinet you put in the corner and put a lamp behind it. I think it would fit...
Well done 👍
I LOVE that you’ve included some natural wood (my fav) we just nabbed an incredible hardwood set of drawers from a thrift store with the cutest legs and are using it as our TV stand. I’ve popped on to say - we had same issue with overhang but we angled it so that it made like a triangle shape with the corner wall and stood out at an angle which meant we could pop a gorgeous monstera plant on a pedestal in behind - or you could pop a tall lamp in behind it for some gentle lighting when you’re using it as a cosy corner
Just a thought would love to see if it works for your home ♥️
#backtofall ❤️
I had so many good intentions this summer.
#backtofall #sendingoregonlove
❤🧡💛💚💙💜🤎🖤🤍
#backtofall I allow the stuff to add up over the summer. I don't declutter regularly and just allow things to be. However it makes me a little crazy so I am very much looking forward to a good declutter next week. I did the basement yesterday and already feel better. Fall is also my favorite so I like to enter it with a reset on the house.
Have you considered putting the bookshelf in angled, that way it isnt overlapping? Then maybe a light or a coat rack behind it to hold some hanging things...... just a though!
I'm a grade 4 teacher and I love the beginning of the school year....even more than the new year as well! I appreciate your videos!! ❤🍎
#backtofall
#backtofall. I sorted through clothes my daughters had outgrown and I feel like a weight has been lifted. More space and less anxiety!
#backtofall .. Getting a schedule/routine set up so that each kiddo gets my attention would make such a huge difference in my mental load!
You will get there! Don’t worry. ♥️
That looks so good!! You should get like white linens curtains to hang over both the windows!
Exactly! When I saw the two cabinets, I thought all she needs is a piece of wood for a desk top! Perfect, you got some great deals!
#backtofall meal prepping is number one on my to do list. My son is autistic and very particular about what he eats so making sure he has back up foods to eat in a pinch is my number one priority so he can make it all day at school. Also helps me keep the kitchen clean that way!
#backtofall
For me it's my kids room.
THE WINDOWSSSSSSSSSSS ! amazing light in a beautiful homeschool space!
#backtofall. My “blessed not stressed” thing to do is to get a menu plan put together and buy the necessary groceries so I’m all set to have home cooked family meals ready to go after the school and work days.
#backtofall I installed the brackets already, but need cut the shelf for the canning pot/dehydrator shelf above other storage in my laundry room.
