    Happy Customer! Total Resolution!
    So as promised, I was gonna let everybody know in the group what ended up happening was we ended up having to get a different set a tires from another location to make sure it wasn’t part of the same batch at the dealers location. Once we put on the new set from a different store, the problem disappeared. Smooth as silk!
    Ended up being Pirreli seems to have a bad batch of tires out there, The dealer will be sending them these for their analysis and refund.
    I also want to highlight Ducati corporate’s amazing response to the whole issue. Once I was able to call them directly, they showed up at the dealer and provided the necessary support.
    They even assigned a dedicated customer service rep to my case that was in constant contact with me, followed up and was available when I needed to speak with them.
    This has been a very positive experience at the end of the day and I thank Ducati and the local dealer for having stepped up to make it right.
    Thanks to everyone here in the group for the positive comments and recommendations.
    Happy Ducati Owner!

      Hello, as far I am aware, there are no changes yet. The SP models are available now and the MTS V2S does not have a SP version.
      There is no word on a V2S change or upgrade. Shall definitely keep you posted if there is one.

      But, I do know that the whole bluetooth and navigation connectivity is not as seamless as the rest of the functions the motorcycle offers.

    Hi Varun, was this at the VST Chennai showroom? Anyways, any chance you can do a comparo between this and the Streetfighter V2? I know it's chalk and cheese and it's different segments altogether. But I am interested in knowing how the underseat exhaust header of the SF will work in our heat. Also, I'd like to know how the SF's suspension is for our roads, compared to the Multi which you already mentioned in your earlier video absorbs our bumps quite well. Thanks!

    • @motovarun
      @motovarun  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Sriram, yes! you are right, this is Ducati VST, Chennai.
      And yes! Waiting for a demo vehicle to arrive, which I’ve been told will be here shortly. 🤞🏽
      I’ll try and describe the differences as best I can between the two motorcycles.
      With regards to the heating, as you mentioned the exhuast pipe running under the seat, Romba khastam namma heat la, it’s pretty much a naked Panigale V2.
      If it is moving traffic, one can still try to manage but considering the traffic in Chennai these days, it’s going to be a challenge for sure. But, let’s see, I’ll surely test it out as much as possible.
      Suspension, ground clearance and the rest of it, let me get my hands on it and I’ll surely share as much information as I can.
      Thanks Sriram.

    • @ssriram87
      @ssriram87 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@motovarun Thanks Varun. Looking forward to the review. Is the Multi V2's heat bearable namma heat la? Also, I'm yet to watch your Multi V4 video and so maybe you've already answered this question but: because the V4 has cyl. deactivation on the rear bank, does it run cooler compared to the V2 in stop-go traffic?

    • @motovarun
      @motovarun  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ssriram87 Hi Sriram, sorry I missed out on this one. Apart from the basic heat that is emitted in any big CC motorcycle or from high compression engines, the V2 and the V4 have made quiet the leap in heat management. Personally, I find the heat to be manageable even in our Chennai weather conditions. I ride the Scrambler 803 - which is air cooled and I find no issues really. But, shoes are a must to be safe (just saying)
      The same cannot be said for the Scrambler 1100. Your legs are for sure to become Tandoori. :P
      The changes in how the heat dissipates in both MTS V2 and V4 make it manageable to an extent where it did not even occur to me, that it might be a problem, when I was standing still in all those traffic signals in the videos. The rides lasted roughly for about 20 mins on each motorcycle.
      So I would say you might feel a bit in stop gap traffic considering it is always hot here. But otherwise, after a little bit of getting use to - you should be alright. And the second you even move at 10KMPH the heat dissipates super quickly. It is fascinating how it works.
      Honestly I did not check which runs cooler. From the rides I did, I did not find a difference in the heat it was producing and both were very comfortable. Let me try them out again whenever I get a chance and update.
      And whenever possible do try them out for yourself. I have come up with a solution to show temperature one can feel on their legs while riding these bikes. Hopefully it works to give a getter idea. Shall try it out ASAP.

    • @ssriram87
      @ssriram87 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@motovarun Thanks Varun. It's good to know even in Chennai heat you are OK with the bikes. I currently live in Blore and so I guess it might be a bit better (although again my ride to office takes me past KR Puram which is epic) I have the Multi V2 S and the SF V2 on the radar, so let's see how it works out. The state of Blore roads and the exhaust header underneath the seat in the SF is what made me consider the Multi.

    • @motovarun
      @motovarun  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ssriram87 Oh lovely, I am from Bangalore too originally. I know the route very well, haha.
      Oh yes! Bangalore weather will definitely help with the heat dissipation.
      If I may add, the SF is a mad machine. It is an addictive fast bike, won't like low RPMs. But the suspension on the SF is definitely setup stiffer which means the control it offers diving in and out of corners and holding a line is next level. I tried the SFV4 so I am borrowing from that experience, so when you get a chance to ride it you may see if it is manageable depending on your riding style. And also, it is almost always going be a single rider with limited luggage options if you plan on long rides/tours (just wanted to add that)
      The MTS rides great but ofcourse not super precise and mean like the SF, the MTS will make it easy for you to do any sort of riding. City, highway, off-road with luggage options along with a pillion if that is something you are looking for.
      Having said all of that - as you may already know, if your heart is undoubtedly leaning towards one of the two - you know what to do. The rest won't matter. :D
      Excited to see what you are going to choose.
      P.S - Please consider the ground clearance based on your usage.

      Hey Rishabh! Hope you are well. I am 5Ft 10inches (178cms) For riders who need a lower seat height requirement. The MTS has a seat lowering kit.
      I found it comfortable to ride and the vehicles weight balance is brilliant. So, it definitely adds to the ease in handling even with shorter riders.
      Hope this information helps. As you might already know, please do test ride the vehicle. Ducati centres are happy to offer test rides :D

    Multi V2s issue when replacing factory Tires.
    So as many of you may have already seen my previous post. I am having an issue with my brand new Multistrada V2 S. The bike is at 7600 miles and I went to change a new set of tires. Put on the same stock trail ii scorpion Perelli‘s. After the change, the bike is undrivable. There is a shaking throughout the bike and the handlebars cannot be let go while driving.
    My Ducati dealer took off the tires to rechecked the balance and everything checks out. They noticed a difference in the length of the front forks(5-8mm left is longer than the right). They called Ducati to get guidance on what needed to happen. Ducati‘s official response was to tell me not to take my hands off the handle bar!!!!
    They said that this was normal operating specifications for the bike.??????
    Everyone at my Ducati dealer has ridden the bike and agrees they’ve never felt something like that in all of their years of riding a motorcycle.
    In my opinion, the bike is dangerous, and cannot be ridden with this specific issue if this is “normal operating specifications”.
    Another note : The where on the front tire has very abnormal, cupping on one side of the tire. The difference in height for the skyhook suspension in the way it wears down the tire seems to compensate for this abnormality, and for some reason when you roll the bike off the dealer lot in Brand New condition. I never felt anything like this.
    The shaking is very bad, not your normal vibration that you would get from the Motorcycle.
    They have a Ducati rep coming out to the dealer tomorrow and once I get an update from them I will let everyone here know.
    Please share this with as many people as possible, hopefully this is not some corporate decision. Ducati is making to mitigate a manufacturing defect that will linger and tarnish the impeccable experience that we have had up until now with this 2022 new model

    • @motovarun
      @motovarun  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for sharing your experience, but is this the case with all the MTS V2Ss 2022 thus far or it happens to be an issue on your motorcycle as of now?
      I only ask because I have not come across the issue with anyone who rides the bike here in India.
      Probably cause they have not owned it long enough or the issue is not with every MTS 2022 motorcycle out there.
      Anyway, thank you for the heads up.
      I wish the issue gets sorted ASAP and you get a satisfactory resolution from Ducati.

    • @AAAA-vz5xi
      @AAAA-vz5xi 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@motovarun you are correct. The bike has been out in the market for a very little amount of time. I have been riding a lot, so I imagine I am one of the few first ones having to change out the tires. As people start to run into this issue more and more we will figure it out. For the time being, I’m trying to work with the dealer to brainstorm on potential causes but the initial response from Ducati is very disheartening. The expectation that a bike of this cost has such a uncomfortable ride, and the solution is to keep my Hands on the handle bar is the wrong way to respond. That is no customer service support for a high-end luxury motorcycle manufacturer.

    • @motovarun
      @motovarun  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Please do update when you can regarding this issue. It is nice that you have a supportive dealer. I do read stories of how the dealer is just as bad as Ducati's response to your issue.
      Also, most importantly I'm glad you are safe, these kind of faults, as you know, are dangerous on any motorcycle.
