  • A first ride and review of the Ducati Multistrada V2S. Is the less powerful 950cc V2S better than the top of the range Multistrada V4S?
    Ducati updated the Multistrada 950s for 2022 and now call it the V2S. A middle weight adventure bike, competing with the Triumph Tiger 900 and Honda Africa Twin and The Yamaha Tracer 9GT. Is the V2S the sweet spot in the range, with real world usable power and all of the technology that you need on an adventure motorcycle. Also a fair bit cheaper than the Multistrada V4S.

    Test rode the V4S but ordered the V2S after three GSs, lighter, lower, great handling and plenty of performance for the road. There’s quite a long waiting list but can’t wait, I bought the Travel pack version in red of course😀

      Hi Ian, that is very interesting to hear 👍 I thought that might be the case for this bike, it is such a good package for the road. Plenty of power and as you say lighter than the larger V4S and GS. Definitely need it in red 👌 Lovely looking bike. I hope you get it delivered asap. Cheers and enjoy

    Traded in my 1250 GS which I absolutely loved but was a handful getting out of the garage and carparks. I think the V2S is about 20k lighter so at age 71 I'm hoping this will keep me riding for another few years.

      👍 I hope it does help you to continue riding. I agree it is a great adventure bike and not too heavy or big. Still plenty of power etc... Hope you enjoy it

    Well I was going to buy the KTM 1290S as I’ve had the 950 Multi before. But after watching this it will be back to Ducati, this time the V2S.
    Thanks for a good honest review.

      👍 Thanks glad you liked the review. The V2S is great, very similar to the 950 but with all the added technology. Think they look fantastic as well 👍

      Well I test rode a 2022 V2S today, and disappointed. Felt very agricultural, so I’ll give the V4S a shot, otherwise I’ll keep my ‘21 R1250RS.

      @@petermcgarva7207 It is basically exactly the same as the 950 Multi, just better tech!!
      The V4S is the one I would have. Lot of money though

      @@redangrevival we have some good pricing on them here in Sydney at the moment , and I’ve got a dealer looking what there stock is like with bikes not too spec’d up. I don’t want radar cruise or Akra.
      Thanks again, your review got me motivated to go test ride some bikes. I’ll blame you 😂 if I end up spending too much money though

    Hi, nice review of the V2s. I’ve just bought one after trading in a Suzuki 1050xt. The 1050 is a great bike, does everything well, and good value for your money, but the Ducati V2 just turns everything up to 11. I test rode the V4, great bike with monster engine, but for me the V2 is just perfect. Thanks for the review 👍

    • @redangrevival
      @redangrevival  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, thanks really glad you liked the review 👍 Yup a great bike the V2, I think you have made a good upgrade there! As you say the V4 is a brilliant bike, but is it really that necessary for the road! The V2 is a very well balanced for the road 👍 I hope you enjoy it. Thanks and all the best

    • @IanTed
      @IanTed 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Just how I felt about the V2, had three GSs but the V4 overkill, just loved the V2 engine and a far better gearbox than the GS.

    Another great review. One of my co-workers has been trying to lock one of these out now for a few months here in Texas. He finally found one "on order" 4 hours away. This will be his 1st bike and he totally ignored my advise to start out with something smaller for a 1st bike. 😁

    • @redangrevival
      @redangrevival  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi many thanks, really pleased you are enjoying the vids 👍 Good question! They are very different really. The AT is more comfortable and much smoother ride, better for longer distances and off road riding. The V2S is more of a sporty ride, and better handling on the road. I personally find the Ducati engine a bit viby! Just personal opinion though.
      Both are equally good build quality. I would have the AT! Hope that helps.
