Unironically i love playing Ball and have a blast playing him but EVERY single time the enemy team just goes Sombra. They need to either buff Hammy or nerf Sombruh because im too plat to deal with Sombras

As someone who grinded Ball last year for OW2. If you are low elo Ball is definitely not the solution for you to climb but he is very fun also keep text chat muted. Enjoy Balling
Nah man I will completely tear apart platinums and lower as a masters tank. It's actually not even fun after a while because you still get flamed
I've climbed from bronze 5 to silver 2 with exclusively ball over the last 2 seasons but ill see how far it gets me :)

Ball is either shat on by the team or worshipped. It's a hard place to be when you're learning him :c You'll often make a bad judgement call and your team will accuse you of being an empty slot, but if the fight went the way you judged, it'd be a completely different story.
truth. Its either my team saying "ball mvp" and getting 4 endorsements, or everyone making me want to jump off a bridge 3 minutes into the game

I’ve been playing the ball for about two weeks and watching as many informative videos on him as I can. Some matches I pull off some good attacks other I don’t. I definitely get better with practice but it takes time

HATED ball when he originally came out but the hero really has such a fun and unique way of interacting with / navigating the map. ur vids got me interested a while back and now I play only ball. If you have even some mechanical skill once you get his kit into muscle memory you can easily roll up until around mastersish

I never really understood ball. Like at all. But for some reason you have been popping up on my youtube algorithm so much lately that I felt like giving him a try again. No idea why, but im doing soo much better. Im currently plat 2 and feel confident going ball on most maps. So thanks for helping me add another tank to my roster.

2:55 "but they also become less lethal" yes, in a nutshell. With a bigger spread of mines, it's 1; harder to get rid of (ahem, reinhardt shield) 2; you can just boop them into more with grapple with it being immensely easier due to the larger area, and 3; they're likely to run into one while strafing, or even if they're just holding a move key when hit by one. ☝️

As a new player Hammond looks really fun and unique but whenever I play as him I get shit on since I try to play him like a standart tank. But this video was really helpful. Now I have a better idea on how to play him I can't wait to try these tips thank you man you are a life saver 🙏

playing this game for years IP always thought piledriver just pushes you up, turns out it also pushes you in ball direction. aktshually learned something new here. Pog
Hopefully people start to realize how important natural cover is with one tank now. Any time my team is being smart, I can do my job as Ball. But so many times the people complaining about needing a shield are basically just feeding without using sight lines at all
They are bad at the game and they will never improve they need to be less than 5 meters away at all times form the enemy to do damage. I literally play with everything muted if I am below Diamond on Ball or Winston.
Thanks Yeatle! I want to ask you if you could make a small tips video on how to deal or prevent the common ball counters. I recently had a match where I got slept 12 times by the enemy ana while trying to dive her and I'm pretty sure I was doing so many things wrong.
You can start by tracking her cooldowns, they are pretty long. I'ts super rewarding to be able to get that kill because you know she just used them :)

Ngl, even with the knowledge I already have as a hammond main, most of the advanced tips really seem helpful :P Although I still expect to get mauled to death once in a while, at least I know know how to dive instead of just once in a while tossing random enemies and hoping I'm doing something good for the team.
Dont forget about being a distraction after striking, it can help your team secure eliminations, balls mobility is good at constently changing flank angles to make the enemies look in different directions away from your team

Today I learned Wrecking Ball gets informed of how many enemies are within range.

I really want to see yeatle battle a team of really good players playing as his counters and talk through that. Often i find it hard to dive in because of that or its a beatdown.
sometimes when you're scouting you just gotta wait for cooldowns. For example when i play against bastion i always wait until he uses his turret form and then strike him the second he changes back. If it's a sym its a little more difficult to counter unless your team is helping you destroy turrets and stuff
@@kernoleary1394 Big agree, communicating help a lot too. Your mate will randomly engage through Bastion turret form, if you simply ask them to take cover and attack after turret or even bait turret, you'll get a big increase in winrate as less mate will die for nothing then complain about the lack of shield. That's what happened to me.

The funny thing is that, the only reason I'm not committed to ball. Is that I don't want to take the time to learn the health pack positions haha. Also, I played Ball for the first time in OW2 yesterday. And, of course I got Circuit Royal... was getting molested by my map ignorance. BARELY, got the hang of it once (meaning I got their Ana). Which in-turn got their whole team. They came back with Doom, Sombra, Mei, Lucio, and still had Ana. It was hell lol. I said nah fam. Everything feels off. I'd need an indepth guide on how his mechanics work. Love the SSS's though. Maybe I'd get that understanding by watching Yeatle stream though. 🤔
When i started play ball in comp i realized real quick to memorize (at least per game) where the big heal pack are per area i fight lol

Wrecking ball's playstyle is the only reason I haven't dropped the game. It's like the shoulder charge titan in destiny 1. Very unique experience.

until they destroy this game or change this hero until he’s unrecognizable, i’ll always be playing OW for hampter.
there is nothing else in gaming like playing hamtaro - and this hero is in a game with nothing else like it too, coincidentally.
