got two scythe neither one cut grass like this. about stick blade new one on wooden pool wood shop. drill hole side put hickory hammer handle get menareds . that be handle side. basically like what your use. drill hole way for bolt. another hole part way . for metal rode of blade go in. hope work like your guys.

And probably a whole lot more but that's about the bulk of it. Caleb is right about the mowing these plants usually grow on very meager soils so you have to keep mowing in order for them to keep coming back.
Mowing leaves a fine dust and thatch that the blades create . The idea in creating meadows is to remove all grass to deplete the ground of nutrients. Mowing is fast but not good for meadow maintenance.
And what about the repair, engineering, environmental waste, extra capitalistic wars, sales, shipping, and regular maintenance of the mower, and the refinement of oil, not to mention drilling...I'll just stop there. ?
