DJI Mini Pro 3 Focus Problem

Do your new DJI Mini Pro fail to focus?
Does it make faint, but audible mechanical noises shortly after starting up?
If it does, it may be faulty. Don't try to fix it. Return it!

I purchased the Mini 3 Pro in early July 2023. After taking just over 300 photos and recording a few minutes of video, the autofocus stopped working. I was looking for information on the Internet and found out that Mini 3 Pro has a manufacturing defect that causes autofocus to stop working after some time. I filed a complaint on the DJI website. The complaint was accepted and I sent the shipment with the drone to the service indicated by them. The service found "damage to the camera module and gimball, which prevents focusing." Service was decided to replace the camera module and gimball with new ones. Yesterday I received a parcel and inside... A new drone. It has different serial numbers, it was factory packed with factory protection for the camera and gimball. My drone was manufactured in May 2023. The new one was produced in September 2023. Now I wonder whether this defect was corrected at the production stage, or whether autofocus will stop working in the new drone after some time.

I've had no problems at all since I got a new Mini 3 Pro. The winter weather here in New Zealand has been a bit poor this year, so I've only flown 4-5 times, but the new drones works flawlessly.
I think it was a faulty batch and that they corrected it, so if you got a new one, then I think you're likely to be fine.
I do wish they would have made a product recall once this factory fault was found (if it was).
