I'm probably in the minority, but her performance was what I liked the most in Barbie

  • @charliew7510

She is one facking gorgeous woman! Smart, funny, wholesome, and down to earth. Her husband is one lucky guy!

America Ferrera, I want you to know that my teenage daughter, who is Honduran, looks up to you so much. You have been such a wonderful role model for her. She even did a book report on your book. Thank you, thank you, thank you. We love you and are rooting for you always!

My cousin and I both spontaneously clapped in the theater when she finished this amazing speech. Absolutely spot on and an incredible delivery. Cannot love this enough. Also, my favorite part of the movie.

  • @clairealderwood1928

The speech in Barbie owes its inspiration to Linda Bloodworth-Thompson, the writer of Designing Women, and the rants she wrote for the Julie Sugarbaker character.

  • @ovilbabe

She's fierce, she's confident, she's articulate. She's beautiful inside and out. I love her! Put her in more movies!! She needs worldwide recognition!

  • @vincyagain

I love America Ferrera, from Ugly Betty to Superstore to now Barbie, she is an icon, a legend! Hope she's working on more shows or movies!

  • @Starrgazed

I absolutely love America Ferreira, I really miss superstore❤

  • @NewMessage

I get it. I saw the TMNT movie like 9 times.

  • @TheBeatlesRoooock

I went to see the premiere and it was a sea of pink-clothed and overjoyed people. We all clapped and hooted after she finished her speech. It's hard to explain how LOVED this movie is. It's amazing to hear a packed theater belly laugh. It was beautiful fun.

She raised an entire generation with Ugly Betty, The Sisterhood Of The Travelling Pants (i wish there was a third movie so that it can complete as a trilogy), How To Train Your Dragon trilogy, Superstore, and now Barbie, what an incredible career she has. So happy for the recognition that she has been getting 🤗

America as a country may be divided but there is one beautiful America that we all love together and raised an entire generation 🥰

  • @carolynturk-hu7je

I also loved Americas performance in, The Dry Land and Cesar Chavez. She is simply an amazing, talented actress! So happy for her accolades! ❤

  • @TheSuzberry

The America I needed her to be.

  • @bmiller949

I had a Tom Hanks type experience with William Shatner. I had heard the stories, but he couldn't have been more kind and friendly at a "Meet and Greet" event in 2017.

  • @thesharkangel6341

To this day I remember wishing she were my best friend when I saw her on the disney movie Gotta Kick it Up. As she became more popular and people would say I look like her I always embraced it because she has always been such beautiful person. It makes me so happy to see her have come so far and continue to do so. What a lovely lovely human.

    Thoroughly enjoyable chat!

  • @withershin

I love in the clip America says, "Always stand out" and the shots are framed by Kate doing the splits up against the wall.

  • @patriciamurfitt4590

I've spent the time wondering what the big deal was with Barbie.
