So right before the countdown you can see the Ford through the Lambo window but by the time he gets to 1 the Ford is not visible. That was a pathetic drag race.
When he speaks 1 the camera is showing the rear of the two cars, then just before he speaks the camera changes to the interior of the lambo but from a different angle, and also before he speaks go, you can't hear the noise of the Ford speeding up

I used to be the assistant airport manager there. I went by when they were filming this. The Lamborghini was having engine problems the whole time. Also that runway is crumbling. I wouldn't be surprised if either of them spun out at the start because there are loose rocks all over.
The idle statements that it was a short stop annoy me. Drag Strips are usually up to 1300 ft while this runway is 3600 ft. Feels more like they were paid to say it so the rich can get this runway extended to 4,700 feet and they can land their PC-12 and King Airs here. The Ranch At Rock Creek has been trying to expand this airport for years and years.

@@benjaminmatute9085 I saw it doing some test runs down the runway but didn't catch a drag race. I bet they didn't want to risk racing a $2 million dollar car down a runway with spalling pavement and loose stone. They filmed in some other locations as well.

Look how close he was at the end, 100% they did practice runs and they decided that the Lambo was going to be too fast to stop at 150.

@xxneroxxx4996 - The final 3rd gen, track only Ford GT has 800HP and a higher top speed than the Aventador. The stock, production Ford GT with its 3.5 liter TT V6 is good for 216mph which is 1 MPH less than the Lambo. Wow, big difference! LOL

@@559connor7 UGH get Motortrend plus and pause the high speed runs and look at the drivers. I didn't think this would be complicated. They do the beauty shots with the cars running the track. They don't need to be going full speed for those. I would suggest watching the behind the scenes on how this stuff is done. They have some very interesting tricks they use for cinematography. Unfortunately the only example I can give is he is the guy driving at 1:59 if you pause the video.

The twin turbos make the difference when fully boosted!

@@hycinthpatrick6077 as should the Ford GT. I've rented a C7 GrandSport, Mk1 R8 V8 and V10, 991 turbo, Mustang GT. I owned an E550 Merc. I think I can speak on how high performance AWD and RWD can perform at launch
My point is the Lamborghini aventador svj wasn’t launched properly, it looks staged carwow did a 10.4 quarter mile on a partially dry tarmac with the Lamborghini and the best quarter mile I’ve seen on the ford gt is 10.8
