When you cold start the cars, they build cranking time into the startup before it fires to allow time to build oil pressure, it reduces wear on a cold engine. Bigger engines need long to circulate the oil which is why v12s have a longer crank before firing.

Matt, you introduced the ultimae at the beginning but didn't explain or drive it for the rest of the video. Is it just an editing mistake or the ultimae still can't be driven brutally?
Yeah, what was deal with that, right? I fully expected Ultimae to be compared to the rest.
Wasn’t it in drag video and had to be taken off due to low mileage (needed breaking/running in)
Correct, it's brand new and has only.done a few hundred miles so it's not ready to be thrashed yet. These thoroughbreds need to warm up before they race.

That LP700-4 has def an aftermarket exhaust, by the tone of it and the dual pipes it could be a Brilliant exhaust
All Aventadors are amazing, but the native LP700-4 gave me the biggest impact on impression wise. Still remember the excitement and the appreciation I have on her gorgeous exterior design and the fantastic exhaust sounds

New BMW M5 is faster than an Aventador nowadays.
But Aventador is not about how fast it can go, it's an absolute legend in its own right 🥂
@@saranath0317 you have to compare same generations of cars. The M5 is 11/12 years new. And fe the even the M5 CS is slower then the Aventador in a straight line and it will have no chance around the corner.But forget it the Aventador is legend, it's not about the performamce but the experience!

The Aventador is an Icon, what it may have lacked in performance compared to some competitors will not matter in a couple years anyway.
It's the drama, the show it puts on that will be remembered, and i really believe that car and all its variants will be a reference point in automotive history.

not really...the Aventador when it came out, was a top tier performance car, of course a turbo charged car is superior but I'm talking about the ones that came out 3/4 years later
couldn’t care if another car does a 1/4 mile 0.6 seconds faster etc. who cares. doesn’t matter 99% of the time. this car is pure theatre and that puts more smiles on your face than the fastest electric motor ever could

There is just something super special about the Aventador. Definitely the best looking Lamborghini ever made, other recent ones such as the Centenario or Sian just don't have that brutal yet sleek appearance.
By far my favorite supercar, and contributing to its awesomeness is that it is naturally aspirated with that glorious V12. Nothing beats a NA V12 with pure reciprocating power, no hybrid malarkey. Sure cars with huge turbos such as the Chiron and all Koenigseggs have more power but I'd have the natural aspirated Aventador with its better looks any day of the week!
End of an era in sports cars with the Ultimae.
Miura, Diablo and Murcielago are all prettier than the Aventador

Aventador is a classic imo. 50 years from now and people are gonna be describing it as one of the best cars made by any car company period. Personally I love the looks of the SV more but I still remember the day when I first saw the Lamborghini Aventador on its launch day and immediately fell in love with this car head over heels. It’s beautiful and timeless design, the thunderous boom clap of that N/A V12 coupled with that brutal af single clutch robotised manual that kicks you in the back of the head every time you shift like what more could you ask for. Its everything a supercar should be. I’ve had the pleasure to rent one and thrash it around 😂 and I can confirm that no other car will make you smile the way Aventador will. No wonder its my absolute favourite money no object dream car. Are there more powerful cars in the world? Yes. Are there more expensive cars in the world? Yes. But I’d rather have a deafeningly loud Aventador with neck breaking looks rather than any other car. ❤️ It really is the end of an era, an era most of us will remember and cherish. And now I can’t wait till day I finally have enough money to buy mine 😂but Inshallah I surely will one day ❤️
I’d like a yellow or orange lp700-4 myself. The sv rear looks brutal and always liked the look of the svj but realistically getting £160,000 is more probable than £400,000! Lol
A n/a engine going from 690 to 770hp with ecology standards getting stricter is sorta impressive, i think.

No clue who remembers the Lamborghini Veneno I wish there was a bit more about this car going around on the internet, I think it looks absolutely fire and if carwow could get their hands on one of the monsters, they should do a reveiw on it. Of course that wouldn't be hard since they cost 4.5m each, so it's most likely that they can't

The Veneno is just a glorified Aventador. Same power train, chassis, and interior. It just has a different shell.

What a master piece of car that ultimae is , lambo designs have always been ahead of time . 2011 avenador looks new , diablo looks like it came out in the early 2000s and imagine how futuristic the countsch must have been when it came out . Hell even the lm001 was a couple of decades before its time

@@leo_0644 it's not that the owner didn't allow them, unless he wouldn't have brought it, it's just that the car was still within its break in period and Matt mentioned he'll be guilty if he went hard on it during that time incase anything breaks

I have an obsession with the SV. These Aventadors are gorgeous cars, but also powerful. In a word, captivating. First one I ever saw I lost my mind from excitement, and the owner was kind enough to let me sit in it. They are, to me and my style preferences, the pinnacle of automotive achievement
Personally I'd go SV too.
But imo the og LP700-4 is the best of the bunch. Clean yet still futuristic lines the best sounding V-12 of the bunch and great character.

Correct me if I’m wrong but since when did the first aventador have two exhaust pipes ? It always had four pipes in that single enclosure (at least when it was introduced).

Great video as ever, loving the different model comparisons and my pick would be the black svj, it looks great and very close to the countach from cannonball run. That’s actually a good thing really. The Porsche 918, McLaren P1, and LaFerrari are all hybrids. I see nothing wrong with hybrid supercars.

I like the exhaust on all Aventadors. I even thought it would never need an aftermarket exhaust, until I heard a Lamborghini with a Secret Weapon exhaust. It sound like an old F1 car... absolutely amazing !
There are a couple of other models you didn't include. One is the Muira Edition and the other was the LP720-4. Now I understand not having the Muira Edition as it's basically just a standard Aventador. But the 720 would've been a good addition 👍👍
Good job reading the Wiki article. If he included special editions, the list would be long. Basically all special edition lambos from the last 10 years are aventador based.

I remember seeing the Aventador for the first time - it was a grey model. The first two words that jumped at me were "Land shark". And that's exactly what this car is because it eats everything else on the road. Why the heck didn't you put the Ultimae through it's paces like you did with the others?
My choice would be the roadster though - they stand out better than the coupe, driving them is more entertaining, and people DO get to look at you. Gotta enjoy that fresh air!

I always think of that and always say it too. I completely agree. The sound just doesn’t have that pitch the previous models do.
I still like the SV more than the SVJ. It just seems a bit more outrageous. The roadster versions are even better though. Incredibly stupid, but that’s the point.

They are all awesome cars. Trying to choose between any of them is difficult, but maybe the SVJ if I had a choice.
The sesto elemento was inspired on the Gallardo and even used the “same” engine. It also gave us design hints of the next V10 Lamborghini, the Huracan. So yeah, the Sesto elemento is not based on the Murcielago at all
