This looks pretty good to me - I am getting tired of stringing Christmas lights & this might be just the solution I need - thank you for the helpful demonstration
I 100% understand where you are coming from. Have you looked into permanent LED lights? Here's a link so you can check them out, ill never hang lights again th-cam.com/video/_Ys17BntFjA/w-d-xo.html
Appreciate the GOOD, honest review, thank you for that, but for $1,800 bones after taxes I can do ALOT more, securely, to even consider this an option.
@@BoredGuyWithACamera What about it do you not like? I'm in the market for something but have not decided yet. I already own a projector so was thinking about just getting the luxlink software amd making or buying a waterproof enclosure.
I really appreciate your review of a very user friendly device. I googled it right after watching your video and looks like I’ll have to save a few bucks if I make this purchase. How do you keep it in your yard and have it walk away at night?
Yeah, I was a little skeptical about spending the money on it at first. Then after doing some research a good ultra short throw projector could be well over a grand plus you need software to run it. Aftereffects runs 300 per year to use so in the long run I think this will be well worth it. I have not come up with a security feature yet. Still planning out ideas.
Thank you fir stopping by to check out the video. I use both, our computer is way better so I put together alot of the video's on there. I just use the laptop to switch between different scenes outside.
So just curious, now that you've had this for a while, what are your thoughts/impressions? Still worth the money? And you never said how long it took to render, just wondering?
Truth be told, I like it even more since the video. The more I learn about the different ways I can use it the more I believe it is worth the cost. It is differently not the best projector that you can buy, but after cost, waterproof casing, fans, temperature control and soft ware it could cost more to build your own. Is it for everyone? No. As far as rendering times, I've been pretty lucky, but I usually work on projections late at night before bed and render over night. I have not had any issues with shows, schedules or sound. I hope that this helps.
@@BoredGuyWithACamera Thank you for your reply. I'm currently heavy into Twinkly Xmas lights ( almost 7K lights, lol ) and someone commented on a post I have on Reddit and showed this to me. After watching yours, and 2 other videos, in just the last couple hours I'm pretty sure I want one, lol. My only concern is how to secure it in my yard. Not that I live in a bad neighborhood but I also don't want to just leave a $1600 projector sitting in the open. Now my house only sits maybe 30 feet off the road and is maybe 20 - 35 feet wide do you think this would cover my house?
@@stain0269 I definitely think it will cover it. I have a piece of wood at the base of mine and a pole attached in the ground. A chain and lock on the projector that I'm working on. I honestly had it sitting in the yard for a couple of shows.
@@BoredGuyWithACamera Ok, appreciate the info! Is there any place to get some cool effects that you'd recommend? I know about AtmosFX but I was curious if there might be and good free sites as well?
@@stain0269 I know there are sites out there, I've kind of stuck to static kind of stuff and atmosfx. I'm in the process of doing this online course to learn more about free software and different websites to get images and so on. Its 25 bucks but I've learned way more so far then watching youtube videos. Absolutely, check out their website bit.ly/3OjYwOi . They have an updated version that is better. It seems a bit pricey but definitely worth it because of how easy it is to use and the lifetime software.
I have EPSON projector 7000+ ANSI lumens, Hitachi projector 5000 ANSI lumens, i7 laptopt and AGPtEK Multimedia 1080 player. How can I start video mapping work?
Just wondering why do you say that? I did my research before I purchased the projector and im happy with it. I had an issue with my first projector and they had a new one at my front door in three days. What issue did you have with them and did you return it within the grace period?
is a bad product, they will send you a used or defected unit, I had experienced twice, first unit was used and defected, second was different issue but couldn't even finish setting it up, also the software and the website or not easy to work, the product it's such a pain to even just getting it online to much for the price tag of this projector

I agree with you, I really wanted to try mapping this year and wish I've done more research. I don't even know if I'll use it this year.
@@BoredGuyWithACamera what would you have opted for instead?

Hell yeah you can do more. The projector sucks too.
In todays world someone would totally steal this in a heartbeat!
Yeah. I've been pretty lucky so far. 😌
That’s great!

I would like to do something like this for indoor wedding receptions but I am unsure what projector, what software, how or where to mount projector?
I appreciate the support, I'm sorry I can't help you more. I'm very new to projections and there are way more experienced people then me to learn from
