The literal legends of Kpop!! Tablo was stating straight facts when he said "I paved the way, for everyone that is paving the way"
Tablo has gone through so much sh*t in the past, it's truly admirable that he fought himself back up. I remember him visiting his dad's grave with his daughter Haru when him & Epik High had their big comeback after all the things that happened to him. He was so proud to finally show him Epik High's Album and at the same time was devestated that his father couldn't be there in person. It was so lovely to see Haru comforting him. May i say here, Tablo did an amazing Job with raising Haru alongside his wife. Tablo often says that his daughter was essentialy the reason he decided to fight and keep going even though people had him on the Ground, literally. Also little fact about him: Tablo is a Stanford Graduate and has a masters in creative writing as well as a bachelors degree in english literature. Probably the reason why his worldplay and lyrics are so creative.
The rooms are 6 feet. Tablo brought this up about how it's part 2 of Born Hater, but I think this round was the first time he explicitly addressed that the rooms are intentionally made the same size as a grave. That's also one reason it's shot this way because it's meant to make you focus but also get a sense of how they feel trapped by haters/critics. Tablo also addressed on his podcast show the amount of questions he gets about what it's like to work with all these famous artists like Suga, etc. and that he's always been about the art and social commentary and there's no difference between your fave and any artist he works with: they're all serious about their craft and talented. This year is also their 20th anniversary (and they're still the most respected hiphop group in Korea).
Epik high, CL and Zico are legends ❤ They paved the way especially epik high they the original hiphop artist in Korea. CL and her group 2ne1 was the first girl group to have world tour.
I think this is partly a huge swipe at the Korean music industry: 7 year contracts where the companies have the control, where they give artists an opportunity BUT where they spit them out when the company decides they're done. This has happened to each of these artists in their own ways, and they are rightly claiming their places. And declaring they're not dead yet.
Epik high and the featuring is the perfect to sing this song, with the lyrics and all. Tablo got the weirdest rumor scandal in k-ent i’ve ever heard, he’s a stanford alumnus double degree and some ppl decided not to believe on that and spread weird rumors, it was so huge that the whole nation was hunting him down for something he didn’t even do, that was wild, you guys should look up to the story...
CL and Zico definitely had their share of stories too, and the way epik high was ready to scrap this song off if they didnkt get to feature CL, that speaks volume. I mean, of course, “I am a legend and I’m here to stay can only be spoken by people like her, right?

The concept was like they were six feet under the ground, he died as you can see he was shot in the heart.
this song is perfect and even calling CL for music gave it a melancholic and perfect touch, I believe this is one of the songs released in 2021 that deserves a SOTY.

Tablo has received a lot of hate online in Korea. The situation got so bad for him that he and his family feared for his life. He graduated from Stanford in a short period of time but online trolls in Korea accused him of faking his degree. The way the video is shot is to fit your phone because like u said it is aimed at online haters.
Epik High is the reason why Suga became a rapper. He heard a song from Epik High and he loved it so much he decided to become a rapper. And they have a song together also.
Tablo and the rest of EH actually made their own reaction to the video and mentioned that the concept is them trying to replicate an actual grave. Like being 6 feet under.
Epik High never disappoints. One of the many Korean Hip-Hop OGs with Drunken Tiger and Dynamic Duo that really helped pave the way and literally opened it up for the current rappers that you see today. Shoutout to y’all. Big fan of your channel!

Tablo and Epik High have done so much for k-hip hop and k-pop and bringing those two together. They were my gateway into this k world in 2008/9!!

And the way they shot this video is cos its a reference to Born Hater album, they are using the same aspects and techniques and even the studio composition.
I respect the opinion, don't get me wrong. But to say the reason doesn't matter when you react to art, is just pointless. You react to things to understand and analyze, and see why the lyrics are written that way or the video is shot in a certain way.
