fun fact: tablo grew up in canada and he's a stanford university graduate
Little info about Epik High: Tablo (the first rapper) is the one who founded Epik High. He's actually Canadian-Korean and has graduated Stanford University with a bachelors degree in English literature & a masters in creative writing. I think that's why he's also known as a lyrical genius. His wordplay is insane. He often raps entire verses in English too so i highly recommend checking mire of their stuff. Mithra Jin (the guy with the beard) actually used to be a poet before joining Epik High so he too is an amazingly talented lyricist. As for DJ Tukutz (guy with the sunglasses) he creates pretty much all the beats to their songs and he's incredibly good at doing so. Epik High used to be an underground Hip Hop Trio in South Korea. They really had to make their way up there but now they are considered God Fathers or Legends of the Korean Hiphop scene. Many currently active Artists consider them their Idols. RM & Suga from BTS also said Epik High were initially the reason they wanted to become rappers. They did alot for the Korean Hiphop scene.
Do you want to know something funny? Tablo said that after their second album bombed they figured they weren't going to be able to do this full time so they named their third album Swan Songs because they thought it would be their final album. However, Tablo got a role in a drama that aired right before they released the album and so their lead single "Fly" ended up being a MASSIVE hit off the back of the drama alone. The rest is history.
love the introduction but just a little correction after watching Tablo's interview with Eric Nam, the person who is creating the beats is Tablo mostly. He said that he is ok with people giving credits to Tukutz bcs he's doing more of the production phase but till now Tukutz created only Born Hater's beats
And they are the first Korean artist performed in Coachella. That's amazing tho

The sunglasses guy in the very beginning is dj tukutz, 1st rapper in the vid is tablo, the rapper in the room full of people is mithra jin! They have another video filmed in the same format that’s actually referenced in this one called “born hater”!! It’s a super popular song and features a lot of other people but flows so well imo. Y’all should definitely check it out!
Also if I'm not wrong the one that was on the bed and got shot by Tablo was DJ Tukutz 😊

Epik High are very unique artists. From the music production to the lyrical poetry. It's cool you picked up on how the featured artist fit so well in the song. They are actually very particular when selecting a featuring artist. Sometimes songs are designed with a specific featured artist. You will notice throughout their discography the artist will fit perfectly with the song. I hope you check out more of their music and not only MVs.

Everyone is recommending born hater which is a good example of how featured artists can add and flow well in a song, but I really do hope you check out a lot of their early works (especially videos from their human soul and [e] albums) or at the very least look into their last four albums! Shoebox and sleepless in___ are amazing along with this new album too!
