I got mine with luck from London dealer in September 2021, the only one left that I could find in Essex area, other dealers said you’d be lucky to get one by June 22 although there was a T120. Not been disappointed with the T100, I love it and it’s good on fuel with a 14 litre tank, getting 70mpg. Just use it for fun 60/70 mile rides around country lanes etc. would recommend this bike to anyone and you’ll be grinning from ear to ear.
First of all, thank you for this video. I just sold my last Harley, I will never own another one. And, I am looking at buying my first Triumph, a T100 Bonneville. The closest Triumph dealer to me just put a white and orange T100 Bonneville on sale yesterday, $2000.00 off the MRSP. I want it, but my wife who always rides with me is crippled and walks with a walker. I'm working with her three times a day in the attempt to build her muscle tone so she can walk without a walker and I hope we can get back to riding two wheeled motorcycles by Spring. Wish me luck. Ride safe and enjoy every journey.
You’re most welcome and I really hope you manage to get your Triumph and you and your wife can get back to riding with you. The T100 is a great choice with a low seat height and forgiving engine. It’s a dream to ride and enjoy.

You've probably already bitten the apple. But I'd recommend a good used bike to learn on. I've ridden since I was in my late 20s. I learned on a used Suzuki 500. Rode it for probably 10 years. I'm a conservative rider, so a 500 was plenty fast enough for my needs. Never had a new bike. My second was a Honda CB 750 four. So I sold the Suzuki. Then I bought a Kawasaki 550 Ltd. That was my sons bike. Also used. U can find some premo used bikes for half the price of new. Now I have a 2005 t100. Decked out. I paid 3 grand for. It's in perfect condition. Good luck.
I had the speed twin as a loan bike recently. Had great fun for two hours - it's a real hooligan especially in "Sport". I was glad to hand it back though. For me it was just a bit too much of everything. Within my capabilities of course (I've been riding over 40 years) but just too much for what I want at this stage of my life. If I had one I'd be riding like a hooligan again. The T100 is just enough though and I was very glad to have it back ❤️
For me it wasn't worth the extra £1k. I found the T100 plenty capable enough even two up. I can honestly say that even if the T100 and T120 were the same price I'd go for the.... who am I kidding it's he the T120 lol. That said, the fuel delivery on the T100 is butter smooth thanks to a single throttle body and careful mapping by Triumph. The T120 is a bit on/off jerky and hesitant at low speeds
T120 is slightly heavier but has twin front discs, cruise control (2020 onwards I think) and a lot more power. It also has 6 gears vs 5 on the T100. The handling is marginally slower due to the weight, especially on the front wheel due to the twin discs. But it's a lot more punchy at higher speeds. e.g. It still has power to spare at 70mph on a motorway. Earlier T120's didn't have cruise control but did have a centre stand, rear grab handle and heated grips. I went for the T120.
I tried both before deciding. Obviously your mileage may vary but I found the T100 better for me. Just enough of everything. Faster turn-in too due to less gyroscopic mass of twin disc set up. The 6th gear would've been nice but I think triumph left it out fir fear of it pinching too many potential T120 sales
I own a T100 goldline. It has now 5000km. I really appreciate this bike, coming from an Africa Twin 1000 much too heavy now I'm 63. My only complaint is the noise and vibrations above 4k RPM. It Is a problem imo paricularly on twisty montain roads and in duo riding. Brakes are also a bit weak. I love everything else on this bike. I've tested the T120. Thé engine IS way better but this bike IS too expensive.
Nice bike but not really a Triumph though the youngsters probably don't know what a real Triumph looks like these days. John Bloor bought the name only- not the company and developed his own bike from scratch. He even tried to distance himself from the original Triumph product at the start. Just so everyone knows- the original Triumph T100 was a 500cc parallel twin and was built by Triumph and not by the folks at Hinckley. .

That said, the fuel delivery on the T100 is butter smooth thanks to a single throttle body and careful mapping by Triumph. The T120 is a bit on/off jerky and hesitant at low speeds
It´s a lovely lookin bike is this the one to have or maybe the T120 would the difference be very much ? for riding : )
@@tnetroP The new T120 is awesome.
NZ
I tried both before deciding. Obviously your mileage may vary but I found the T100 better for me. Just enough of everything. Faster turn-in too due to less gyroscopic mass of twin disc set up. The 6th gear would've been nice but I think triumph left it out fir fear of it pinching too many potential T120 sales
“These really are bad roads out here”
*laughs in South Africa*
Just so everyone knows- the original Triumph T100 was a 500cc parallel twin and was built by Triumph and not by the folks at Hinckley. .
If triumph care why oh why is there a rubbish headlight, for safety there should be an led headlight?
“Not pretending to be modern”? It’s pretending to be old 😂
My god what triumph have done to the t100 black out wheel 🎡 s etc just terrible 😔 cheep cheep look doing what BMW did to the mini
Boring video.
YES but the question is ?? DO YOU LIKE THE BIKE.??
