Definitely the best paint finish. Pure class. You forgot to mention that they match the paint color to the fenders too. The other paint finishes get black fenders and side panels. This version ties the whole bike together much nicer. My only nitpick would be to put the "Gold Line" script maybe somewhere on the side panel instead. No need to advertise it to the owner the whole time they're ridding it, IMHO. Definitely worth the extra beans.
I agree - the silver and green Gold Line model is beautiful. I saw one in the local Triumph dealer in Atlanta, GA, USA where I live and it is stunning and even better in the sunlight. Kudos to Triumph for the fit and finish of this motorcycle. Very nice ride through the English countryside. Thanks for sharing.
I own a T100 and it just fantastic, I use it for everything and have just ridden it from Cloncurry to Toowoomba, 1500km in two days, awesome touring bike and just purr’s along at 110kph in 5th 👍
I have the same bike. Beautiful. I think the only thing I might change is the bar height. The T100 has me slightly cramped. I’m thinking 1 inch risers (maybe half inch) would make all the difference in the world. Great content. Thanks!!
Nice video again! Spot on regarding the tubed tires. That was for me as a 2021 T120 rider also a concern. However, have road assistance and on longer tours take a spare rear tire you will be ok. If you do not take plugs with you on a bike with tubeless tires, you will also get stuck haha
Love the t100. Picked up the 22 in black in may. I was torn between this color and the black. Just felt the black was edgier. And used the money I saved for mods. One of them being a center stand which is a must. Why it doesn’t come standard is beyond me. Pushing the bike a foot at a time to lube the chain is not good. You should get this one. You wont regret it.
I have the T120 Gold Line version just love it. For the $2500 extra cost there is a lot more options on the T120. Only issue so far is there is a paint defect on my Tank from the factory. It looks like the clear coat ran on them and they missed it when QC'd the bike. You can only see the paint defect when at the right viewing angle to fuel tank. Dealer said it will be fixed when i drop it off for it's first service. This bike compliments my Triumph Trophy SE and i also have an Aprilia Mana in the garage!!!!
As you said, really great MPG, going on for 20 better than my SV thou but the tubed tyres are a bit daft. I recently plugged a rear tyre with a reamer kit and it holds air perfectly.
Yes i would have to change to tubeless really just makes sense. I have used the rear tyre kits a few times absolute saver on trip and also lasts until tyre is dead naturally 👍
@@MOTOUK1 Yes, for sure. I was once forced by a bike shop to buy two brand new rear tyres inside of a fortnight, due to punctures. Shamefacedly, they removed the wheel on the second occasion and had me get it plugged elsewhere, saying that they weren't 'allowed' to do so. Back then, I was naive enough to think they'd have simply binned the first one ! Likely plugged and sold it at a low price with no liability or guarantee.
T100's and T120's always come with a Gold hand painted line along the tank I don't understand this description. I have 121,500 km on my 2017 T100 , thinking about stepping up to T120 next time
It’s just a fancy way to add a different paint scheme and charge £600 - £800 more really. One thing this concept did though was got different colours out there which I think is a good thing really.
Feels the same mostly, the T120 feels bigger some how but dimensions pretty much same. Just more power bigger engine, better brakes, 6 gears, cruise control, 2 rider modes pretty much it
How are you finding your Merlin Edale jacket? I have the Merlin Shenstone, which is a great allrounder here in Australia. But I like that the Edale goes down a bit further. But I am concerned that it will be too heavy, too hot and wont get much use. How does the Edale compare against the Shenstone with the Edale Outlast Liner Removed? Is the Edale still considerably hotter and heavier? Edit: Also, are you happy that you got the olive colour?
Hi 👋 so I think the Edale may be too warm even without the liner, for where your from. The Perton is very similar slightly lighter and better for warmer countries in my opinion 👍
Why are the fans so loud on this bike when it comes on ? And it blows hot air into your leg basically it burn my leg so bad. Is this normal for liquid cooled bikes ?
I noticed this on my new T120, at 700 miles did an oil change myself. I found that only 3.5 quarts came out but the 1200cc is supposed to have 4.75 quarts so I put Castrol power1 10w-50 4T, full synthetic. I find the fan doesn't come on as much. I always do oil changes myself on my motorcycles. I think the dealership prep guys are just rushing and cutting corners. Not sure if this will help but I would check
Is a union jack emblem available on the tank for people in the US? I'm retired and really wish I lived in Britain. Unfortunately, none of the paths the home office seems to offer would get me there. Anyone have an idea who I could contact to look into it more deeply to see if I can live in Britain as a pensioner?
I know you can get aftermarket Union Jack knee tank pads or companies like Motone.com do some rather nice Union Jack billet gas caps. For entering and living in U.K. I have no idea really as I don’t know the laws
I'm a beginner and very interested in the T100 There are a lot of options / upgrades available from Triumph. Would you please tell me which ones you would recommend and which upgrades that are not directly from Triumph you can recommend? I am very new to motorcycles. Can you tell me what some of the best full face helmets are and really good brands for other gear? I wish they had a black gold line model. The blue / white and black / white don't appear to be available in the US. Do you happen to know if that's correct? I agree the green labeling is not something I really like. Can you recommend books or course to learn befinner ruding skills? I would also like to find a video that explaings counter shifting really well. Is the emblem on the side of the tank the more classic emblem or the 4 bar emblem.? I really like the 4 bar emblem.
There are many companies that do aftermarket main one is Motone but a good google search can normally bring up a few. For helmets my preferred manufacturers are HJC and Arai - not sure what colour are available in USA but all should be listed on triumph USA website. The emblem on the tank on the Goldline is the old style but on non gold lines it’s the modern one. Triumph accessories sell the old one to replace the new ones. Thanks for tuning in and we have 2 playlists, all the triumphs I’ve ridden since last year and also this years gold lines, trying to get more shortly from triumph to test
I'm not in love with tubed tires either, and I really don't like the black wheels. My two favorite bikes are the T100 and the Moto Guzzi V7 850. The T100 gets better fuel mileage which I like, but the V7 is $2000 cheaper than the T100 here in the states. The V7 has shaft drive and a six speed gear box, but only gets 47 mpg. I just can't decide on which one I'd like the most.
Ridden both the V7 850 while in Tenerife and the T100, if your looking for refined then the T100 takes it on engine, gearbox and quality over the V7 which is a nice bike but a little clunky agricultural engine and gearbox. The shaft drive is clunky. Better fuel mileage on the T100 also. Only my opinion from riding these, if I was to buy it’s worth the extra
Looks really nice Nick I was surprised that you preferred this engine to the 1200 though ? I do like it but if I could I would go for the T120 I think but hey I haven't ridden either as yet so who knows 😊👍
They are both great but for me if I’m to buy one I think I’d only use it for a run gear and there nothing too bike, for that I would take the MT10SP. So the 900cc T100 would fit me. But if I didn’t have the MT10 then yes I would go T120
Just got the T120. What surprised me is how easy it is to ride. Very forgiving. It can shift if you want it to but bumbles along beautifully. Running in is a doddle as the engine is so lazy, you are not really in danger of exceeding the recommended revs.
@@MOTOUK1 Thank you. I was set to get the RE Classic 350 and the Bonny when I retire in c6 years. The Mrs said, numpty, do it the other way around. Get the T120 now and the downsize to a Classic in the future. Who am I to argue!
Nice bike, at a fair price, if you just want something to potter about on & you're under 5' 8" in height. I actually prefer the black paint too. It should still sell well (imo). Just not to me.
Shame about the tubed tyres - it's a pity that Triumph won't lace their spoked wheels to accept tubeless tyres. If BMW and Suzuki can do it, why can't Triumph? And Pirelli Phantoms - ugh! .....horrible in the wet. Otherwise, a lovely bike.
Good looking bike but the Speed Twin is better value. 1200cc engine, 6 speed box, twin radial Brembo brakes and cast wheels with tubeless tyres. All for only another £1100!
Great review...i just bought T120 Gold line edition. Love the engine, exhaust note, torque and power, and cruise control is a must for me. Love it!😎
Great review I found a second hand one with only 2k on the clock it’s like brand new, happy days 😊
Definitely the best paint finish. Pure class. You forgot to mention that they match the paint color to the fenders too. The other paint finishes get black fenders and side panels. The Green, Gold and White side panels is what makes the Motorcycle Pop!! Love it the way it is. Great Modern Retro!!
It is a looker, love it really 👌

Your welcome, I love this bike looks amazing as you say in flesh! Really tempted to get a T120 Goldline in this colour
Bonneville T100.. la moto più bella del mondo 💓
Love the Gold Edition T100, got one on order, which should be in my dealers in next couple of weeks. Great video, loads of info and well presented.
Thanks Michael, I considering getting a bonny soon 👍
Just got this exact model. It was discounted $2000 since it’s “last year’s model. It’s such a beautiful bike. And I just grin when I’m riding it.
Nice Congrats 🥳 lovely looking bike
Beautiful motorcycle, very well demonstrated.
Thanks Mark 👌
Oh to be in England on such a summer evening riding a British bike ...especially Triumph
Roll on summer it’s 2c today 🥶

Thanks for tuning in Warwick, they are super bikes and i just love them so capable 👌 just checked that route on the map looks awesome.
Congrats on the new Arai, you'll never regret buying one.
I really like it 👍
Stunning! I hope in a few years can look at getting one. Unless there's something else.
seriously good looking bike if only i had the money the skill and licence to own one.

Nice review. I just put a deposit down on this exact bike. I agree about the side panel appearance. How would you change it?
Hi 👋 thanks for tuning in! Congrats on your new bike. I think I would just order 2 new panels from another paint variant, may be a costly way though

I liked the review aside from saying it's the most classic looking bike available today... I'd probably give that to the Kawasaki W800 or W650.

As long as they cool the bike radiator down all that matters. Not noticed fans being noisier than other bikes.
