Pau alone is really special but combined with her equally talented siblings this feels like a unicorn band. If you’d like to learn about their history and progression I highly recommend the Tidal Rising doc, a nice glimpse into their personalities too - th-cam.com/video/s7iQG0ug4HI/w-d-xo.html
You might enjoy reacting to Pau's recent performance at The Pepsi Center in Mexico City where she sat at the piano and performed Black Holes--a song about addiction she wrote at 13--and Breathe for the first time live. Black Holes is performed with a string accompaniment. Very emotional performance in front of 8000 fans, their biggest headline show yet. There are only fancams available. Some are better than ever.
OMG I love this one. She can convey emotions seemingly effortlessly. She learned it in a couple hours for a challenge. I don’t think she has ever played it live since.
Of course, these is The Warning's concept album _Queen of the Murder Scene!_ It details a girl going from unrequited love to obsession, stalking, murder, and then the battle against her evil side for her soul. If you search queen of the murder scene meaning the first result should be my Google Docs writeup on the song meanings along with links to the YT performances.
Thanks - I'll definitely look that up! I may not read it until after I listen to it once, just to make sure my perspective is clean, but I'll definitely read it.
Something about Paus voice, just hits differently, she can convey emotion like no other! Not to mention that she learned and performed this in four hours, absolutely amazing talent!
There is a purity in how they approach music. Nothing embellished. Nothing included unless it adds to the emotion behind the lyrics. That really is the key to their writing style. They write to support the emotion behind the lyrics. I've commented on this before and feel that both Dany and Pau live the lyrics they sing. They get lost in the feelings behind the words and are so empathetic that when they perform they have a way of pulling us in with them. Amazing that Pau never seems to sing off key, even doing complex harmonies. Her voice has so much natural texture and the tone resonates so effortlessly. Great reaction.
Their 4th most viewed video is Pau at 10 years old, playing drums to a Kelly Clarkson song. It sounds silly, but it's an impressive performance - even for Pau. Like this one, it brought a tear to my eye the first time I watched it, but for very different reasons. th-cam.com/video/MUAhV8K-v3A/w-d-xo.html
This is so beautiful from Paulina....a challenge that she made good on... love the ending, she is just an incredible artist and so so full of "POW", love them all
this piano is their well known, slightly out-of-tune, home piano... they've had it for years and most of their songs have started right here on it... someone recently held a poll for the best *Creep* cover... Pau won, hands down... then they put Pau's cover up against the original rendition and Pau won, again, by a huge landslide... as others have noted, this was a challenge... there were a few songs listed and this one was chosen... in about 4 hours, IIRC, Pau came back with this... you can she that she knew she nailed it, right! 😹 TWA ⚡🤘😸🤘⚡ TWA
Even when you just hear Pau talk, she has a bit of a rasp. Here definitely turning it up a couple notches. I'm more impressed over time listening over the years how well she sings clean vocals. Probably actually harder for her to sing clean. She's pretty awesome. 😁
The Warning generally do not do covers anymore. They are focused on promoting their own music. So, I doubt they will officially do covers in the near future. As others have already told you this was a challenge that she mastered flawlessly in a couple of hours. Dany has done some similar things. Also Dany has a series of midnight shows that she did for a while, during the lockdowns, I believe. Just Dany and a guitar. Since Pau doesn't play any other instruments but the piano and drums, she does her melodic accompaniment on the piano.
The back story makes this song very special and frankly quite amazing.🤯 Pau is a special talent and for me the rawness of it is awesome. 🔥Thanks for checking it out the end fist pump is epic. 🤘⚡🔥
Just a spectacular performance. For me this is THE version of Creep. Yes, PMJs version is awesome but Pau just nails the emotion of the text. & to compose & perform it in 3? hours is the real artistry. As always Pau + 🎹🎹 = 😢 & magic. & not to leave out Dany: a little ‘My Future’ th-cam.com/video/tPNcRdw4dws/w-d-xo.htmlsi=zWfHzG49oWE_Qgt1 (edit. The one time I don’t check my link!) & someone else reminded me of ‘Walk’ th-cam.com/video/DT6pBD4SAjQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=MeW6XXwmLnadOK8G
Thanks for all that! Agreed that PMJ takes a very different spin on it, and while it's a great version, the overall sexy feel isn't exactly in line with the lyrics themselves like it is here.
They don't do covers in concert anymore, so this is the only one in existence. Paulina has a unique, natural timbre to her voice. You can hear it even in her speaking voice. Consider watching the VLOGS they posted after their 2-week tour in Argentina. Part 1: th-cam.com/video/EODP2trJXb0/w-d-xo.html Part 2: th-cam.com/video/j05YpyBJYeo/w-d-xo.html
Love this version. FYI at the Metropolitan Pau doesn't like to be that high up because she's not close to her sisters. This is the same piano she wrote and sang Breathe on the Error Album.
And look how The Warning is inspiring other young, aspiring musicians. This 3 piece from my home town has actually patterned themselves after their favourite band, and here's a solo piece from the singer/guitarist: th-cam.com/video/mM6bXg5sK58/w-d-xo.htmlsi=kXUl1L7aZs7vo7iQ
Looking forward to your Queen of the Murder Scene reaction. You've had a good introduction to their music, but I bet you still are going to be amazed at how good this album is.
Thank you for this reaction, DDD. For a more technical point of view of this performance by Pau, I recommend watching the reaction of opera singer and voice coach @BigBrainSinger. th-cam.com/video/Z7eXcDIjXo0/w-d-xo.html
--Es increíble la gran capacidad de composición de Pau Creep un cover original ,no hay nadie que interprete y componga como Pau con su voz ronca y desgarrada, sobre todo en vivo
Can't wait for you to react to Pau singing Narcisista at Teatro Metropolitan where she lets her drum teacher take over the drums so she can come out front and take over the stage. She's more entertaining than Dany!
OMG You actually changed the name to "Daughters (sometimes)..." 😆Let them know the channel's fans and TWA misses them and would love to share reaction moments a lot more often. 🙂👍

I will certainly look that up; several others have mentioned it as well.
OMG why have you done this, you got me in tears yet again - every time she gets me 😢
OMG I love this one. She can convey emotions seemingly effortlessly. She learned it in a couple hours for a challenge. I don’t think she has ever played it live since.
Once was enough, Perfection❤❤❤
Oh already back, yeah !! This performance is such a treat !

Only version. She was asked as a challenge to do this in a few hours she learned it and sang it.

I think a lot of that stems from avoiding the record labels for so long. They'll overproduce the heck of things if you let them.

Thanks for the link! I'll give it a go soon.
Dany has some great solo covers too. Like "Walk" from Foo Fighters. 🤘⚡🔥
Agreed.
This is so beautiful from Paulina....a challenge that she made good on... love the ending, she is just an incredible artist and so so full of "POW", love them all
If you enjoy this kind of format, I would suggest trying the piano version of Dull Knives with Danny and Pau, it's amazing. Great reaction!
Thanks, I'll look that up!

Yeah, her whoop of joy at the end was classic!

I've just started watching some behind the scenes stuff, and she does indeed have a rasp. The clean vocals are now an enigma.
Dany also has several great covers that she did on Instagram live, my favorite one being Cavetown's Home.
I’ve not seen her do this again. Such a brilliant performance though. Can’t teach that.

That makes sense. I know a lot of bands still slip in a cover now and then, but I can see not wanting to do that in the current phase of their career.
there's also a few other 'mini concerts' Pau & Dany have done that are very nice to see/listen to
The back story makes this song very special and frankly quite amazing.🤯 Pau is a special talent and for me the rawness of it is awesome. 🔥Thanks for checking it out the end fist pump is epic. 🤘⚡🔥
The multi talented Paulina from The Warning”..she’s so versatile and dynamic..
Just a spectacular performance. For me this is THE version of Creep. Yes, PMJs version is awesome but Pau just nails the emotion of the text. & to compose & perform it in 3? hours is the real artistry. As always Pau + 🎹🎹 = 😢 & magic.

Thanks, I'll check those out. I just got done watching Tidal Rising, so I know what you mean about her voice.
I hope you do reaction videos to every TW video you watch. The Army will watch them, guaranteed!!!@@DadDaughtersandDrinks
You can never have enough of The Warning!

You're doing a great job. Nice spending the weekend with you😊
Thank you - I appreciate that!
Pau!! 🔥🤘

Will do! I always like watching voice pros watch these kinds of videos.
Surprised to see this so soon - you're not even tired yet😂?
Once I cleared out the tequila, I got some energy back :-)
It is AMAZING to actually see you reacting to this !!! Thanks !!! ⚡️⚡️⚡️
Awww... thanks!
In a recent poll Pau won for best cover of this song then they put it up against radiohead and she won.
❤🤘⚡🔥
Pau is something special, that’s for sure. Check out the Tidal Rising Documentary. It’s only 20 min. Very informative and entertaining
Just watched it yesterday, it really was interesting!
Great reaction. 🤘😎👍⚡🔥🎯
Thank you!! 😊
--Es increíble la gran capacidad de composición de Pau Creep un cover original ,no hay nadie que interprete y componga como Pau con su voz ronca y desgarrada, sobre todo en vivo
Yeah, voices like that were just meant to convey emotion!
Great reaction!
Try Black Holes.
Pau is so special. So Great talent!
Yep, it's on the list!
Can't wait for you to react to Pau singing Narcisista at Teatro Metropolitan where she lets her drum teacher take over the drums so she can come out front and take over the stage. She's more entertaining than Dany!
Posted that one yesterday - awesome!
No one is more entertaining then Dany.
She is a musical genius. Would like to see her play with another genius, "Miyako Watanabe" from "Lovebites".
Are you not counting her sisters as geniuses?
My guess is the sisters weren't mentioned because they're not in the video. Just a guess though!
@@DadDaughtersandDrinks You are right!
Go Titans
I'll accept that... for now ;-)
OMG You actually changed the name to "Daughters (sometimes)..." 😆Let them know the channel's fans and TWA misses them and would love to share reaction moments a lot more often. 🙂👍
Ha! Yeah, it was the honest thing to do and I found a way to do it fairly painlessly. I'll let them know - thanks!
