I subbed for NF. Also, this was the very first NF song I heard 10 years ago and he instantly became my favorite artist and has been since. This song will always be extremely significant to me. I was on a failed second date. I asked what her favorite song was. She replied with "Paralyzed by NF". Not only was this the first track that I'd heard of his, but it was also the most life changing. Because this song made me analyze myself so much that I was forced to come to the conclusion that I was numb myself and faking everything. Unbeknownst to me. Until I processed the song. I had been fake for the first 28 years of my life and only after discovering NF, did I discard that deadwood side of me and start living in truth with all my words and actions. I became a different person almost overnight. I became the person I should have always been. Thanks for supporting NF and I look forward to hearing more from you guys.

As an Indonesian, I keep seeing other Indonesians make comments that Indonesians are only kind to foreigners, which isn't true, because I experienced it myself many times. Two of my most memorable experiences are during covid, I always did my regular beach walk with my dog and a few stray dogs at the beach that I feed everyday. Suddenly I was approached by a couple who had been observing me for a few days and intrigued that the stray dogs were very attached to me. After we talked a bit, they invited me to their home. I had just lost my sister then, just a few weeks back, also lost my job due to covid (I worked in tourism). They fed me, offered me a job to manage their newly opened restaurant and their hostel, and even gave me some money yo feed the stray dogs everyday, which helped me a lot because that eased my finance a bit. I asked the husband "Why are you so kind to me? I'm a stranger, I could take advantage of you." And he answered "What you will do to me is beyond my control. What I can control is my actions and intentions. And I want to help people." A wisdom that I keep in my heart. Another experience was when I traveled to a remote village in order to get to a remote uninhabited island. Throughout the journey, which was quite difficult because information about isn't available online, I got helped from so many locals along the way, a notable one was when I arrived at the village by a ferry at midnight, I walked around the village, looking for an accomodation but found none, I found an open field that I planned to set my camp on and I asked a family, who happened to still be awake that night if I can set up my camp there, instead, they invited me into their home, fed me, and gave me a room to stay for the night, fed me breakfast, and took me to find a fisherman that I can rent a boat from. All for free! Also after my visit to the island, I stayed in one. Of the local's home for a week while waiting for the return ferry. He fed me for a week for Free!! This is Indonesians' kindness. So when you hear that Indonesians aren't as kind as you think we are, that's because they didn't approach Indonesians with the right attitude. Indonesians appreciate humbleness, modesty, and politeness. If you're kind to us, you will find a family that would return your kindness ten folds. Our core value is "Gotong Royong" it means to work together to achieve something greater. We were born very social and community minded, despite our differences (you must've known that we have hundreds of ethnic groups and languages). To help each other is in our blood. Sadly, the more modern people who have been "westernised" tend to be more individualistic and pragmatic, which tend to diminish the characteristics of actual Indonesians.

thing is thats your kid. the addict is willing to do what ever it takes to get the drugs or drink. if they just spent half that energy doing the right thing its easier to over come. never an excuse. i am 50 and my dad just quit drinking about 10 yrs ago for a woman he just met but couldnt for his first wife and his son.

This is the most beautiful, soul gripping, heart stringing, moving, masterful celebration for and remembrance of Tuomas’ , anyone’s, father ❤️‍🔥 Tuomas is an absolute musical, AND lyrical, genius! My father, the strongest man I know in so many ways, was every cornerstone of my being/life. He passed on peacefully in -22 on the waining hour of my Birthday after having endured physically and emotionally for over 20 years due to multiple strokes and other health challenges. His passing was a true blessing, so much so that I had yet to shed one tear; until I heard this song “Lanternlight” by Nightwish The combination of Tuomas’ yet another compositional and lyrical masterpiece and its manifestation by Floor and Troy finally opened my floodgates 💦💦😭 They had me after four first words: “Gone is the hurt…” No amount of Finnish 🇫🇮 inner strength enhancing, emotion blocking, words (sisu, saatana, perkele) could hold back the desperately needed outpouring of emotions, reflections, remembrance, appreciation, flashbacks, re-lived joy and eternal love. Maynard was 11 when his mother became ill and paralyzed. He was angry and confused. He felt she was taken from him. He watched her continue her faith and questioned why God would do this to her despite her faith. Clearly he struggled with religion. But he does seem to lighten up on that throughout his life

Ren went through the NHS many times to try to get diagnosed at the beginning (all his Accident & Emergency visits, GP visits, all the tests, visits to specialists and all his mental health consults and therapies would've been free). However, Ren felt let down by the system because of his misdiagnosis. The NHS has been underfunded by the government for many years now, so the system is overwhelmed. Drs are rushed to move on to diagnose quickly and move on to the next patient. Plus Lyme Disease is very rare here and Ren had a history of mental health problems already, so they were just being dismissive as all his tests came back negative (they didn't test him for the right things though unfortunately). So Ren went through the private medical system (yes we have that too), to get what he wanted done instead.

This is a phenomenal cover that struck me , completely different from the original which i like too but this version..... A good cover should be different from the original, the Byrds did it with Mr Tambourine man,Floor Jansen did it with lady gaga's shallow and phantom of the opera and now here's Emma. Her singing with those subtle parts followed by louder parts combined with that orchestra and choir make it an emotional rollercoaster....a true masterpiece that matches the best chansons ever made. Epic.
