I think this would be really cute

She's a weirdo, to be sure, but she has a confidence and self-assurance about her eccentricity that I'm really jealous of. She's not timid awkward weird, she knows exactly who she is. haha I'm serious this is a fascinating character
not to downplay her talent, but a lot of people confuse asmrtist's acting abilities as actual acting abilities. actual, actual being a non-insultant word toward asmrtists, actual actors have to portray characters that they did not write and have to interpret them and mimic mannerisms that are required from OTHER people. she came up with some ideas, put on the glasses, got the set ready and just did whatever she wanted with improvisation. a lot different than reading from a screenplay and figuring out how to deliver it based on what you THINK the character is feeling.

@@umphreak9999 the points made in your comeback to me show I think you're not getting what im trying to say think about it like this: some actors don't have 'range' and seem to always 'play themselves'. take will smith for example. will smith's comfort zone are comedic characters in which his OWN personality comes out. will smith is a mediocre actor (aside from a few times of very good acting). those mediocre actors are kind of like asmrtists in a sense. they are always in their comfort zone because they always know exactly what the character is thinking **because they invented the character and it's mannerisms**. or in will smith's case, he always knows how to be funny because the character is similar to himself/his style. this is the type of thing you'd see in comedians during standup who are capable of creating things on the spot and nailing mannerisms of made-up characters and scenarios. but here it's for a variety of reasons, for relaxation, entertainment, etc. does that take skill? of course. it takes a lot. is it the SAME skill as 'acting' in the traditional sense? not quite. so because of that, to claim 'acting is acting' is kind of wrong because yeah she's definitely acting, but it's a different kind.

I really enjoy this character. The quirkiness is endearing without being alarming (too strange makes me tense even when watching this stuff), and her vocal tics are like a massage to the eardrums. Things like the "You, yes you" routine are so disarming and calming to me. Great vid!

Ive started going back through these strange asmrs, because normally i find this kind of voice/style annoying, but for some reason i find this so adorable and relaxing. And the humour is brilliant! Absolutely loving them!
It's amazing that a lot of the ASMRtistes can just do it all. They have to come up with a good ASMR video, first, then a way to build some situation around it, like a cranial nerve exam, a suit fitting, a haircut, they have to do the props, they have to do the photography/lighting/sound, which is seriously important for ASMR videos, they play characters, and a ton of editing. We're lucky they don't just go get sucked up into Hollywood to do ONE of those things, be paid way more for it, and we miss out on their talent, brought to us for the price of the ads. Oh yes, I forgot that part, they also hustle for sponsorship. It's truly a labor of love.

Her ability to portray different characters isn't really a surprise at this point. For Halloween a few years back, she made like a full ASMR movie that was 2 hours long and contained like 10 different characters. Not to mention all of her other OC characters that she's portrayed over the years.
