I build an outdoor kitchen for the offgrid property down by the pond. It has a reclaimed sink, cherry solid wood island, and much more to come. The outdoor space at the offgrid is shaping up to be a pretty sweet location for hanging out.

I took down a grain bin in France 30 years ago and learnt the words for nut, bolt and washer: "ecru, boulon y rendel!" I was the guy on the inside. Love what you do. It's really relaxing viewing and I always have a laugh. My allotment buddy Marco built a smoker like yours, his hasn't burnt down yet. Keep doing it your way, Kevin.

Farmers must love you guys, I could imagine normally they get stuck with one of those silos rusting away because they're too busy to haul it off themselves.
LEDs around the inner circumference might be nice. Just a thought for night time stuff and filming.
Stone Masonry has been in my family for several generations, even today it’s what my Father, Brothers, and I do. So naturally when you mentioned building a new fireplace my ears perked up! Everyone has different levels of skills with different trades, but I’m really looking forward to seeing what you come up with. There’s so many beautiful designs and routes you can take to make them unique.
Time and time again I see people just chucking rocks in a circle and calling it good. I demand more!!! Haha. Great video as always man, this made my morning.

Love the patina! Repurposing is so satisfying and sort of honors the history and reignites the excitement that must have accompanied the original install decades ago on the farm.

Oh my gosh….Kevin…..😂. You intro had me laughing. These are so cool. I have to say I’m shocked you didn’t decide to use the 2nd one as a new “cabin”. 😉. I mean you have the opening in the center of the top…would be perfect for a chimney. Fireplace in the center will help evenly put out the heat. Would be cool if you could install some windows in the top for natural light. The snow would definitely slid off the roof in the winter. You are like those employees who worked for Disney at imagination land. There are no limits as to what you can build , how & with what materials. ❤. I love how you are always thinking outside “the box”. 😉😬✌🏼. PS…..you should totally sell cutting boards to us subs. I would totally support you & buy one!!!. You can surprise your wife & make her #1 of course I get to buy #2 signed by you on the back since I gave you the idea. 😬. Seriously I would totally buy one ‘ I’m sure there are a lot more who would also be interested . 😉. Kevin you should put a lift “cap” above the top opening. So if it does rain the cap deflects it ‘ doesn’t come inside the roof. You can put some hooks along the support post to hang various tool. Hot dog forks, frying pans etc. Heck you might even be able To attach a hammock between 2 of the support post. Turned out amazing!!! Let me know about my future cutting board . 😬😬😉

Of course you were gonna make a roof for your kitchen out of a grain bin. I wouldnt have thought anything less. Works darn well too. Another successful venture.

I'd add some concrete to fix the posts in place, then bolt 'em all together so a bigger wind can't just steal it :D I'm pretty sure you'll nail it design-wise, and later on you could even host some weddings under it!

You should totally use one of those round porthole style windows as your skylight! Maybe some air holes just below the window for airflow. And if you find out you need more support in the middle you could always use those curved 'angle iron' pieces to build a kind of 'outdoor umbrella' style support in the middle where you have one central log and a few angled supports attached below the window.
Always fantastic and creative ideas! I'd love to build one of these too once I can get myself some property so we can have a little community outdoor kitchen just like you guys!
Love the new cookout area. That’s a great cover out there. Great for shade or when its raining. You put that to great use. The ponds also looking really good. It’s nice and clear. Only thing that would make it look better is weed eating around it. It’s getting a little tall out there. A fireplace would be nice out there.

A roof turbine would be a great idea, I love how repurpose things that would usually go to a landfill.
Definitely gives the area a tropical look, like those circle huts you see on beaches. Cool. You could always paint some rust fighting paint on the outside surface, but I like the look of it as it is. You could add some 'free solar lighting' as well, maybe a small solar panel out the top of the roof or something.
You need the use the other grain bin for a tiny house. That's a build I'd like to see. I love how you repurpose things. Very cool.
I love your channel so much Im an older viewer never built anything Im scared of power saws but Ive had to take a break but I have been building a barbie doll house, I am waiting for some product prices to go down...Ive made so mistakes along the way but live and learn.

Love it. You asked for ideas. How about some strings of battery-powered LED lights, either around the circumference or radiating out from the central peak? In a big structure like that, they look nice even during the day.

I’m always amazed at the lengths you go to make things work according to your vision, and this one is a great one! Simple in design but far from simple in execution. Also another point for “the right tool for the job” with the giant steel easels 😁 that’s what I call them anyway.
No mention of the goose egg you likely got from losing that hammer mid-swing!? Ouch!
The hatchet could have been way worse.. those giant steel easels are called Grainbin jacks.. for some reason I own them.. I looked at renting them then got the opportunity to buy them... Because who doesn't need grainbin jacks.

You could also use radiant propane heaters in the winter. Two or three of them should make it very comfortable. Good repurposing.

At first glimpse, I thought you were going to build an amphitheater type structure, like Chris said, semi enclosed. A screen material around it would definitely help keep the bugs out, kind of like a screen enclosure without framework..lol 😂😅 Love what ya'll are doing ❤

The second one is the perfect place to build it as it was on the farm, with the walls attached to the ground, nice wooden floor as you always make, and make it a living space, could be used as a hunting cabin or blind, the options are seemingly limitless.

Fantastic idea some bug screening in the future would be an idea also for your sawmill how about an extended sheet metal nose and hang a 5-gallon pail to catch the sawdust and easily dispose of it in a compost pile saving on major cleanups.

A safety and decorating idea:
put Pool Noodles of different colors all around the bottom of your “Grainzebo”. Just slice them once longways and slip them on! This will also protect, from the sharp, rusty corrugated metal, the heads of any giants who might stop by for a free fish dinner.😊
Ditto on the "indoor" lighting, but also maybe some curved bench seating around the edge? If you wanted to be fancy about it, it could have shelves for storage.
