My friend and I used to look up to this guy, not in the do "Whatever the fuck I want." way but the get a skateboard, learn to skate and just have fun and not care what anyone else says way. We liked his dress sense, his attitude to life and we loved the Jackass films. But then Bam started drinking, and everything went wrong. Then Dunn died and things got even worse. Unfortunately, my friend has gone the same way, drinking HEAVILY, doing drugs and just distancing himself from everyone. I hope he doesn't kill himself on his new motorbike and I hope one day I can get through to him, but he's never listened to me and has always been the type to do what he wants. I hope he doesn't completely mirror Bam's life.

Sorry, but that´s wrong, ask any psychologist about it. The "feeling of drugs" you mention is the escape mechanism. Feeling different to what you normally would, because you don´t like the way you feel (depressed in like 95% of the cases). Those people supress a lot, so that´s a subconscious behaviour.

This doesn't really make too much mention of Ryan Dunn's death. It's mentioned like some sort of afterthought. But Bam's depression and alcolism skyrocketed when Dunn died. Ryan's death is one of the main reasons he had been so troubled for so long. He was overwhelmed with grief and sadness. Bam was obviously troubled for a long time, but it was taken to a new level after Ryan died.
Anyone who watched Jackass and its offshoots that didn't realize every cast member had serious mental issues is blind.
It probably wasn't mentioned because of how obvious it is, it's common knowledge that Dunn and Margera were best friends.

My friend and I used to look up to this guy, not in the do "Whatever the fuck I want." way but the get a skateboard, learn to skate and just have fun and not care what anyone else says way. We liked his dress sense, his attitude to life and we loved the Jackass films. But then Bam started drinking, and everything went wrong. Then Dunn died and things got even worse. Unfortunately, my friend has gone the same way, drinking HEAVILY, doing drugs and just distancing himself from everyone. I hope he doesn't kill himself on his new motorbike and I hope one day I can get through to him, but he's never listened to me and has always been the type to do what he wants. I hope he doesn't completely mirror Bam's life.

Damn feels like only yesterday that I saw this guy on t.v. playing around with a lambo living the high life. Sad to see people fall because of alcohol I hate alcohol so much. It along with cigarettes should be made as illegal as Heroin. Both kill people by the hundreds if not thousands every single year. Marijuana is safer than either alcohol or tobacco, yet it's classified as dangerous as Heroin or methamphetamines. Something is horribly wrong with the system and needs to be corrected.

My favorite Bam moment stems from his skating career, when he got so pissed off about messing up a stunt that he tried to break his board on the ground and it bounced back and hit him in the face.

I can't believe people are saying Bam ain't talented etc. Bam was a pro skater and very good too. Bam was one of the best characters on Jackass, and made that show great. Since Dunn died he hasn't been the same no, but it must've been a massive shock. I hope Bam gets better soon and can move onto another project and give Bam fans something to look forward to.
