Blame Novak. After Bam got his band together, Novak was a reliability. He's said plenty and plenty of times in interviews that Novak is a let down. Novak is a reliability, he was constantly partying, drinking and more importantly doing hardcore drugs. Obviously being around it has brought Bam to drink.
If they are worried about getting hurt because of their age, they should just do projects like bad grandpa and other movies that includes pranking people but without as much pain. It's not jackass but it's still funny enough to keep the fans happy.

Johnny Knoxville did all the stunts for that action park movie, Steve-o does stunts for his live show and the rest of the cast are pretty much up for it. Saying they're old and won't do stunts is completely wrong.
They could die from the stunts they were doing for any of the movies, it's not like it would be any different now. If ppl like Jackie Chan can break something and still do the rest of an entire scene, then there is no excuse for Jackass 4 to be because of "old age". That is the most pitiful excuse

It's been confirmed now Paramount has picked up Jackass 4. It will be released early March 2021. It will add new cast members with old returning. But, they haven't decided to have Bam in it or not due to what he is going through at the moment.

As someone who’s young at heart at age 48, these guys have to find new meaning to their lives. They are like old boxers that think they got another shot at the title. I have a feeling that someone made an actual deal with the Devil for stardom and found out a little too late that it wasn’t a joke. I really feel for these guys as I’ve struggled with what they’re dealing with including mental illness coming on late in life.
I am so glad I got to grow up through the whole progression of Jackass. Big Brother, CKY, the show/movies, Viva la Bam, Wild Boyz, etc. Also, I think the guys can do one more movie. Though I don't think they should be hit by bulls anymore. They are only in their forties, so physically they still could handle a good beating. And the number one reason they can't do another movie is the oversaturation of prankers on TH-cam. Every kind of prank has been done. Making it difficult to come up with new pranks to use.
From videos I have seen with the guys, Dave England and Chris Pontius are/were up for another movie. Dunn’s death probably put what they were doing to their bodies in perspective. Together, they still love each other but the next guy is always trying to 1-up the last guy. It’s just too dangerous for them nowadays. It probably wouldn’t feel the same without Dunn being there as well, it wouldn’t be whole without him.

I use to watch this when i was a kid, as a teen i almost got arrested due to it, we got some football mascot costumes, and other random costumes and started running around the city, this made our town a bit concerned and freaked out. So they called the cops, Once they saw what we were doing they said you needed a permit and blah blah blah, could get arrested, scared the fuck out of us, then tould us this is how you prank someone now go home before we get more complains and we really have to arrest you for disturbance...
None of these channels ever mention Preston Lacy, Danger Ehren, or Dave England when talking about Jackass. Though Steveo and Pontius were my all-time favorites, Danger Ehren was freaking hilarious, and Dave England's special talent to defecate on command can't be ignored. Not to mention the original CKY/Jackass crew of Brandon Decamillo and Raab Himself. These guys filled my childhood with gut-busting laughs.
