It's the 2 less successful rallycars that send chills up my spine here, the Alfa GTV and the BMW M1. Very different sounds from the others, as well as each other! Outstanding! Thanks for the upload!
Of course I had to watch literally the only car I truly lust for in action. I have never seen one driven hard. It sure can do it and kinda reminds of the 037. Thank you for putting this up.

Renault 5 Turbo "Tour de Corse" by Ragnotti and Saby, with the white Speedline rims, were beautiful, both with the official colors such as the blue and red of Philips that would later be worn in the official Maxi-turbo. The Toivonen 911 SC / RS in the Rothmans colors was also gorgeous. The purple R-5 Turbo was that of a budding star at the time, named Didier Auriol
@@reisling664 the difference between V6 and In-line is that a V6 has on each side 3 cylinder of the "V". In-line means 6 cylinder in one stright line. The M1 has in group5 specification for the racetrac a 3,2 liter engine with biturbo 1000 horsepower. The car was from Schnitzer BMW Freilassing/Germany
the porshe also won the paris dakar, these were times that one enjoyd all rallyes in europe, today cars are too much engeniered to feel like they are driving the road cars they look like ,also too much rulling made it not a contest but the brands showing what they can do to a certain point , it should be about being the best at it no matter what type of cars they are driving or pilots are not that good as they should, one can have the best car in the world and stay behind drivers that have not that over engeniered cars , only my opinion ,today paris dakar isn´t paris dakar and not that actractive to follow ,it feels fake ,brands destroyd the competition ,where´s the rolls-royce silver shadow with the old renault 4 L across africa.To much wars they say ,so stop making wars like people lives don´t matter , it´s almost a political rallye ,paris dakar in south america ,i don´t recall city´s changed place

They certainly are, especially when kitted out with the Pro Car style body kit. Sound great too.

I had the privelage of having one of these M1’s pass me on the freeway one time. Not sure if it was street legal, but Definitely a unique experience.

I just love the fact, that some of these cars had regular license plates - so some of them eventually were used for getting groceries :D
They all have license plates. To get from stage to stage there are road sections on open public roads so they have to be road registered.
A mention please for all those R5 turbos.
