So just to clear up a few mistakes... I seem to have shown the fixture for the semi-final of the DFB Pokal rather than the final (Düsseldorf badge shown instead of Kaiserslautern). I also seem to have got a little bit confused with the European slots. It isn't possible for Heidenheim to play in the Europa league regardless of other results. Sorry. Thank you for your support regardless! ❤
I think europa league was out of reach. But because Leverkusen won the Cup, they now play in the Conference League Play-Offs. Truly a dream
2:19 actually no. It's true, if Dortmund win the CL there is indeed an extra team from Germany playing Champions league next season, however this will come at the cost of one Europa League slot. For Werder in 9th spot there is no chance of playing internationally next year
And if Bayer wins the UEL will there be an extra spot ?
@@eizzah8323 nop
@@eizzah8323 if both dortmund and leverkusen win then one of the extra slots is given back to uefa (for whatever reason)
@@Moin0123 so does that mean that if either one wins, Heidenheim goes international?
@@lipsiaz8623 yes, and leverkusen plays against a low table team from the second bundesliga, so the chance is very high
Dude!. That's not the Kaiserslautern logo. That's the Düsseldorf logo
I was about to say this too
That was the semifinal fixture.
He started in the 5th division, actually. In the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg
Yes and no. Since the 3. Liga was only established a year later, the Oberliga was actually the fourth division and not the fifth division at that point.
Huge respect to Heidenheim who made all this happen without a big sponsorship but through hard work and determination.
Also big respect to the maker of these very good videos, this channel is severely underrated..
Good analysis. Im german and dont support Heidenheim, but i love the fact that they are were they are. And all that without the big money. Also love the fact they were promoted ahead of the red bull club in 2014. Shows you how far you can go with consitency and humbleness.
Heidenheim is a miracle and hard work
Sorry, but the Dortmund scenario is completely wrong. There will be no nine german clubs playing european football next season, regardless of what happens. If Dortmund wins the CL, it just means Frankfurt will play CL instead of EL next season. It doesn't mean all other clubs would benefit. It would be different if Dortmund wouldn't be qualified for any european competition next season but would win the CL (then Germany would have nine starters (6CL, 2EL, 1ECL)). Meaning Heidenheim will definitely not play EL next season!
What is special about Heidenheim is that everyone works together, Schmidt just is the face. Holger Sanwald has done a lot in the background and joins the character test for incoming players. The medical staff got every player fit, even those that have had very bad luck with injuries.
Btw: Beste isn’t the National Team player, it‘s Maloney. Beste got nominated for the National Team, but got unlucky and had to leave before getting any playing time. He isn’t nominated for the Euros
Ohh bro, you messed up Kaiserslautern with Düsseldorfs logo. But great Video tho! :)
Yes fr
Heidenheim actually started in what is now the 5th division. Due to the reform in the league system, they actually got promoted to the 4th division (kinda) in Schmidts first year. The next year he lead them to win the Regionalliga, which meant promotion to the 3. Liga.
Before that he lead them to the now 5th division as a captain. So he technically has lead them to promotion 6 times
Its insane what they did, they didnt had a "real" stadium when the started this journey, afaik like 500 seats.
Bro's playing a realistic journeyman save
Thank you for your Work! Enjoy everything!
I didnt know Düsseldorf will play in the DFB Pokal final nice.
You forgot to mention that on the start of this season. Heidenheims team only had a market value of 19 mil. And it was the complete same Squad they had at the beginning of the Bundesliga
Leverkusen needs to win the cup for Heidenheim playing international otherwise Kaiserlautern will
better lautern. Heidenheim is build on sand and will break in a few years. people portest because government money was missused for the club. over 8 million euro. staatsanfwaltschaft Brenz was informed on 8th of may. big things will happen
Aren't you Nitroze?
You showed Düsseldorf logo not FCK....................................................
LOL Nitroze
THe Staatsanwaltschaft Brenz is investigating because of missuse of gov money
Nope, FC Heidenheim doesn’t even receive government subsidies
