Gotta be careful with how high your sweeping foot is on the opponent’s leg, if he didn’t manage to take the weight off it as you pull him down that’s his MCL/ ACL gone
You’re totally right about that!! But it’s competition he is not thinking about that. Unless it’s a submission and you want to be cautious then don’t rip a submission fast. But then again…. It is competition I’m taking your ACL home with me😤
Noice! PSA the same side trip from rear standing is risky against athletic people because your hips touch the ground and whoever gets their hips up first has an advantage. Check out the cross trip from the back to keep hip height over your opponent 👍🏻

For that "table top" sweep work on keeping control of the foot / pant grip of the bottom leg they'd use to stand with and "technical stand" with just your elbow on the mat. More control and they can't scramble.
Takedown score points. Foot sweeps are low risk high reward and can chain to other throws or wrestling single/double legs. A good counter to opponents foot sweeps? A foot sweep!

@@GrounddevLFI think the point is "working on guard pulling" is a bit hilarious. It doesn't require work or technique when compared to securing a proper takedown.
@@colm5244 okay your point? like i said if you are crying about someone not letting you take them down. it seems even more hilarious. so you were going to fight and struggle for a takedown but they saved you the energy and now your mad ? beyond hilarious. just say you cant pass. no one is required to waste energy fighting you for a takedown if you cant beat them then that says all that is needed. Great grappling but I really dislike guard pulling, in my opinion getting taken down into guard or pulling guard should give the opponent a point. This would provide greater incentives for takedowns and aggression

@@GrounddevLF Yeah the guard puller wants to pull to help be in a better spot. Well guess what? The other guy wanted to take you down so they dont end up in guard altogether. They want to end up in side control or half guard after taking you down. You dont want that so you pull guard that should give away a point.
My man becareful with that kind of roll, I hurt my shoulder really bad cause I was on the back of the guy and he rolled forward just like that I strain 2 ligaments and I out of training for about 2 months
Well, when you get more experince you will find out that the guy did everything right standing up attacking with ko uchis and o sotos. The guy got nervous and pulled guard lol. This is basic judo and not spazzy at all
@law4546 I’m not saying it’s the same. Slamming is a deterrent for pulling a bullshit move. You can’t finger manipulate because it’s dangerous and goes against the spirit of the sport. Jumping guard utilizes arbitrary limits to improve your position. Nothing wrong with the butt scoot but jumping guard should be allowed to be punished
For all of you calling the guy spazzy. When you start competing in combat sports, that’s what adrenalin does to you wether you like it or not. You either wait for the rush to calm down or you capitalise on it and do what he did…. I bet his mouth was drier than sand 😂
