So many models so little time, or budget. And yes, the Swordfish does need a pilot. I saw a box review on that kit and its quite nice, even has marking holes for rigging I really enjoy your channel, best one to inform modelers on what's coming up, the key is finding a distributor but that's become more easier with the Internet, Plus your quiz up front is fun, so far I'm at 100%. However, unfortunately that comes with the wisdom of aging :-) Cheers .
Thanks for the update. I realy like the German WWII cargo truck, have Tamiya version with extra kits of 55 gallon drums, Jerry cans. Haven't built it, saving it for winter. I also really want the Miniart M3 Stuart but I haven't made up my mind about with interior or without.
Silver was not a D-Day Beach. The beaches were Gold, Juno and Sword for the British and Canadian's. Omaha and Utah for the Americans. God Bless all those who served and RIP to all those who gave their all. As far as the photo it was taken off Omaha, and I believe Robert Cappa took the photo.
The British, Commonwealth & Free Forces beaches were originally codenamed after fish: Gold fish, Sword fish & Jelly fish, but almost immediately, for the sake of convenience, 'fish' was dropped. That was fine, until the Canadians started kicking-off when they realised that they were going down in history as landing on Jelly, so the codename was changed to Juno.
