Anyone who says all Lovebites' songs sound the same doesn't know what they are talking about. Lovebites is probably the most diverse heavy metal band I have ever heard.
Who says that? Certainly not anyone who knows music composition. Anyway, who cares what non musicians say.

@@4thArmoredVet I've read it some people's comments in other reaction videos. It usually comes from people who don't like power metal because they say it all sounds the same. They dismiss the band based off of 1 or 2 songs.

god, it's such a minor thing but every time she starts with the Zil Bell accents (like when the chugging guitars started ) my ears just geek out. Just can't get enough of these ladies. Still hella sad Miho felt she had to move on though. But hopefully we'll end up with more great music from Lovebites soon, and wherever Miho decides to land in the future.

It's not "taken from" Jackson, it's inspired by.. .the opening intro on piano is Rachmaninoff.. Amazing Lovebites..Queen Miyako n Midori !
Miyako disse em uma das entrevistas no programa musical "Rock Fujiyama", na TV japonesa comandado por Rolly Teranishi e Marty Friedman o quanto admira a guitarrista Jennifer Batten, que acompanhou os tours de Michael Jackson entre 1987 e 97. Estes riffs são um tributo à Batten, segundo Miyako.

the harmonies are rare - this is their best imo. first the call and response and then miyako just nailing the harmony after that. just more LOVEBITE awesomeness

The riff is reminiscent of iron maiden's Hallowed be thymame or purgatory.
My favorite song too & very catchy. Sound so clear & crispy. Miho spectacular & unique bass run. M&M..no need to say, seeing is believing the awesomeness'. Harmonise vocal are better than some pop artist..unbelievable! Thanks for this reaction guys👍👍🤘🤘😍

A Love letter from Miyako to Sergei Rachmaninov 🎹🤘🎸🔥
At the beginning of the year 2021 Miyako moved to a bigger house (probably because she already knew about her pregnancy at that time) and she built a new home studio in that house. She presented it on her YT channel Miyako Metal TV. In those programs, she told that Midori had visited her and they practice especially their harmonized playing in the studio. And yes, you had reacted to the other song, where they sing harmonized quite a lot: Burden of time, studio live version. In that song also Midori sings along.
Itsuka TV also has some of that Miyako home studio footage on her page. For reference Itsuka is a known and band guitarist and singer before opening her own Production company. She is good friends with Miyako,Marty Friedman and a ton of other acts.
Miyako and Midori were on a web series called Rock Fujiyama where they sat next to Marty Friedman and listed their top five favorite guitarists. One of Miyako's favorites is Jennifer Batten, Michael Jackson's live guitarist for most of his solo career. This song's riff is a bit of a tribute to her and a take on "Beat It." On my meager channel a couple of Instagram clip compilations of Miyako. In one video she plays "Beat It," and in another video she plays this song's chorus on piano.

Well, I’m lost of superlatives to describe Lovebites. I have purchased the Blue-Rays of their concerts “Daughters of the dawn”, “Five of a kind” and “Heavy metal never dies”, and de DVD of “Wacken Open Air” (included in the “Electric Pentagram” CD); quite expensive (including shipping to Mexico) but definitely worth every penny (Amazon Japan delivery service was excellent).
Miyako actually is the second voice of the band. She harmonizes pretty much in other songs too but they all are suppressed in the mixing.

Yeah!!! the song that Haruna compose when she was in Destrose with Miho but the song never been recorded or play...
There is two version.. the original is in Japanese and recorded in their debut LP - LOVEBITES LP...
The second version is in english.. Asami re-write the lyrics and recorded in their album Awakening From Abbyss...

There is planet earth where feeble humans play with bits of wood and steel strings and then there’s planet Lovebites. Due to the speed of light, those images have taken several thousand light years to reach us. That’s the gap between Lovebites and ANY other band. Ever.

Sorry, i suggest you anothers Lovebites songs: "Liar", but live in studio where You can real watch the skills of Haruna and one song very different: "Inspire", the R&B side of Metal!
This song showcases their vocal abilities. All of them sing well. They are so very dynamic on their instruments but their layered vocals are astounding. My hope is these Women write more Multiple vocal piece just like this. The riff is Almost Beat It as well as Whitesnake and that era Metal. Very Familiar and Haunting Piece which is nothing but pleasant.
Thanks for checking this out. As you have seen, they seem able to capture emotions that most metal bands can't even dream of. One of the signs of their brilliance is that you often feel like you've heard their songs before, even though you haven't.

Great reaction! Asami harmonizing with Miyako's piano playing is also another favorite part of the song. Edge of the World and Epilogue are another 2 songs which may be part of the letter E trilogy. Coincidence? Or was it planned by Lovebites. I would love to watch them perform the 3 songs acoustic in this order. Peace and Lovebites!

@@CaffeineNightOwl He played the solo, but one of the guys from Toto played the main hook. Miyako likely wrote this as a tribute to Jennifer Batten, one of her favorite guitarists and Michael Jackson's live guitarist for over a decade.

@@CaffeineNightOwl I didn't say Jennifer wrote the riff. As far as I can tell, she only played in Jackson's live band and only from the Bad tour onward. Eddie wrote the solo and asked Quincy Jones, one of the producers on the track, to rearrange the song so he could play the solo in the key of E.

Been listening to Rock and Metals from 1989 and as a guy I have no qualms in saying that currently my best and favorite bands in the world are Band Maid and Lovebites. Never thought I would like female bands more than guys but hell talent is not gender specific.

Finally got around to this song of theirs 😀 This always sounds like a bit like an 80's rock ballad to me.
Miyako said once in an interview that Midori goes to her house (where she has a fantastic looking setup btw ) a couple of times a week and they practice their songs and sync. This can be seen in this video: th-cam.com/video/-UDIGCvz2X0/w-d-xo.html
Miyako is said to be a very very good piano player to the point were she has done classical recitals, that now plays rock 😀

I loved this show because it has some of Miyako's clearest and most frequent harmonies. It's a shame she doesn't do them as often now. Even in Five of a Kind she does noticeably fewer harmonies than in Daughters of the Dawn, and fewer still in Ride for Vengeance. Not sure if it's a preference thing or she's pushing herself more with guitar. Whatever Whatever reason, I miss her harmonies.
The opening riff gives me two strong vibes. The one most people mention is Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean," but for me, it most strongly resembles REO Speedwagon's "Back on the Road Again." Once they get into the verses and switch to that slow, languid and slightly discordant chording, it starts reminding me of Visual Lies-era Lizzy Borden. On the harmonies, Miyako does the high notes.
Also, this is one of the easiest Lovebites song to sing along.

Miho and Miyako are the main harmonisers in this particular song but I have seen Midori doing the same in several songs.
Miho was the main harmoniser when she was in Destrose and Miyako being a brilliant musician does everything with ease .

One of my favorit song from Lovebites
The riff really is kind of reminiscent of that of Michael Jackson's "Billie Jean". But for me personally, the coolest part is Miyako's riff during the second part of the second verse. Pure joy to my ears.🤘🐺🤘

If you want to hear a riff this is a *lot* closer to than "Beat it," search for a song called "Akuma to Tenshi no Kiss" which was a song from "Bubblegum Crisis 4"
I'm not saying Miyako even knows the song, let alone borrowed from it, but it's a lot closer than "Beat it."
So can we agree on something... Lovebites is the best power metal band alive today. Band Maid is the best rock band. The Warning is the best power trio... Where has all this amazing estrogen been hiding for all these years, only to come out and dominate now?

Can we just recap here?? Asami is Japanese, her first language is Japanese and yet she can write/sing these lyrics in perfect English. Now imagine being British and writing and performing a song in Japanese that is so meaningful and presentable to a Japanese audience, that in itself is absolutely mind blowing!!! Best band on the planet right now.......period!!! Lovebites are unique!!.
