It is about time the Supreme Court knocks down that stupid wildly wrong 9th circuit ruling out of San Francisco.

Give help to the ones who want it, the rest need to be forced into addiction programs or mental hospitals (depending on their situation). In order to do that mental hospitals need to be reopened and better help for addiction needs to be created.

1:27 but some homeless people do drugs so that is also problematic and use the bathroom on the streets

So you give them tickets and if they dont pay- then they get a warrant- then u guys can get them into the system to get them rehab and a place to live is that the plan or just issue tickets that's it..I feel if you city leaders build either tiny homes or an affordable apartment place they will get off the streets and live there..but in each city around the USA nothing is being done enough and its a big problem..(where's the money??? )

Once the drug addicted homeless get taken care of along with the mentally ill then the true homeless that really want help can actually get help.

Coupled with treatment facilities and help up for the down on luckers, this could potentially solve a lot of homelessness!

The majority of homeless people are drug addicts (Tranq, heroin, meth and alcohol), have festering wounds, infectious diseases, scabies, viral hepatitis, smell of the most offensive stench you can imagine, and bring crime to our neighborhoods (physical violence and verbal abuse/car theft/vandalism/break-ins/trespassing/stalking/loitering/scavenging/defecating on property/etc.). I used to be idealistic/compassionate about the homeless situation until I lived in an inner-city neighborhood and experienced the horrific conditions that homeless people bring to low-income neighborhoods, many of which are “chosen” by policymakers as designated “shelter” locations. The residents of these neighborhoods don’t have a choice in the matter!

The homeless advocates should house the homeless in their own home if they care for the homeless people so much. The homeless issue will disappear if all the homeless advocates out there adopt one and house them in their own home. Taxpayers deserve to enjoy the public area that their tax dollars paid for without putting up with the filthy & dangerous conditions caused by homeless encampments. Instead, the homeless advocates just take the grant monies from the gov to pretend like they care about homeless people while laughing all the way to the bank. Homeless advocates just want more homeless people because they profit from them. These homeless advocates are only crying now cuz their revenue stream might become smaller after this ruling.

Why don't you take them to your house and shelter them... God gave this earth to humans to spread around.. unfortunately some people aren't as smart as others or they lost everything do to this society.. but putting them in jail come on.. let's be honest who controls who? The rich make the rules and there the one who put them there to begin with...

Don't expect much real change on the streets. Sure the law changed but now it has to be enforced and most police forces and sheriff dept are already strapped for manpower.
This will just become a human whack-a-mole game, chase them from here and they go to there and back again!

@Mark-rz5cn and again, you bring up "choice". when there is a choice, we agree, but i take it a step further. IF there is a choice, your first choice should always be NOT to be part of the problem. what I have a problem with is when there IS NO better choice. hence, when those like myself back in the day that DON'T WANT TO BE THERE have NO choice. ie: the working poor, the single mother with her children living in her car, when help ISN'T available, and they tell you to move, but you don't have anywhere "legal" to move to. your position is no better than the homeless druggies and criminals. 2 sides of the same coin. tell ya what. i'll keep helping those who WANT help and i'll refer the dirtbags to you. if we work together, maybe we can clean up the streets AND teach the politicians and police how to do it right.

@Mark-rz5cn says another ignorant elitist snob. ignorance is bliss. if only it was that easy for those who actually want and deserve the help. that doesn't work when choice is taken away by people like you.

@@eric1302 You think these people give a F#CK about a ticket ? It’s a no where solution that will just cause more chaos and drama and not FIX anything. It’s just going to redirect and cause issues somewhere else.
The real problem is the people who should truly care don’t !! Look how fast Martha’s Vineyard migrant problem got taken care of. Guess we’ll see right ?
