Yeah, the fourth wall break is them showing that they're filming this as a video, but in that case why would they film this feedback session(at two angles like that)? So is this supposedly a sketch or real life(in terms of what they are portraying)?
I think he was able to grasp at a lot of truths in his own life and bring it into his performance for this. Like I could totally imagine the real Amir speaking like that. Put himself in it rly.
This episode is genius; not only does it change how the audience views Geoffrey the Dumbass from here on out, but it does so retrospectively. It is so uncomfortably realistic, in contrast to the previous episodes playful absurdity, that it leaves a lasting mark on the audience. There are some really interesting directions this could go from now: working out how Jake fits into this new power dynamic (does he mediate? Is he an enabler?), do the Jake and Amir characters carry on from their CollegeHumor iterations in some way, and if so, in what ways does Amir's treatment of Geoffrey echo Jakes treatment of him? Off to go watch Off Days to feel better.
Cammeraman: "You were kind of in the wrong the whole time" Amir: "I was in the wrong?" Cm: "Yea" Amir: "Alright." *visibly still irritated* Me: Dead. I'm dead.
I don't think I've ever seen Amir angrier than this video. There simply isn't another video that captures this amount of hate steaming off Amir. omg lol
I'm aware of that one, it doesn't compare though because there's nothing actually building up to it. He just screams a make believe language, cries a lot. Funny though lol
“How he is, By the way, is how I always am” I love the idea that Amir in some way is the same Amir Valerie Blumenfeld from college humor but time and Geoffs presence has kinda subdued him. Like “I’m not ok either I just compartmentalized it because I’m an adult and I help run a company now”
Ok ok but I'm thinking Amir does the interviews. Someone asks an okayish question. Cut to a scene of the lunar landing. Buzz Aldrin is thinking "that was a stupid question." He walks out of the frame. Camera zooms in on his face. Buzz Aldrin is like "Amir, I can't think of anything funny to say." Cut back to Earth and it turns out Amirs question was only kinda stupid. Conspiracy theories abound. And scene.
did some heavy leather research and i definitely figured it out. 3:46 Geoff says "That's shearling, dude." Shearling is a skin from a recently shorn sheep or lamb that has been tanned and dressed with the wool left on. It has a suede surface on one side and a clipped fur surface on the other. Usually the suede side is worn outward. Shearling can be made from real sheepskin or from synthetic fibers. gg
I can’t believe I found this so late it’s gotta be my favorite Jake and Amir anything ever, and for some reason it reminds me of always sunny in Philadelphia.
I hope they do more episodes like this. I was thinking it was just a Jake and Amir Clone but you get to see so much more of these characters in just this one episode. Keep it up!
2:55 That's Amir telling us that he's the same as he was in Jake and Amir, but he learned to tone down the stupidity. I love that they confirmed that and you should too.
WHY THE FUCK R THEY ONLY AT 21K SUBS!!!!!! like actually? youtube start fucking recommending these videos, jake and amir vids used to rack up so many views! and the only reason i care is that with more views, they r likely to continue the series for a long time...also it just deserves a bigger spotlight. this shit is CASH
Is Amir actually supposed to be in the wrong or is that just part of a joke, like how in Jake and Amir Jake would lose even when Amir is at fault? Because it seems like Geoffrey really was just interrupting a discussion and got wha was coming.
Batman Well yes sort of. I think it’s sort of ambiguous. He shouldn’t have reacted that way in the moment that intensely but Geoff had it coming after all his shenanigans. Amir really messed up though when he wouldn’t do a real apology. Even though he was sort of in the right the more mature thing would have been to apologize and move on if he could.
Wow. After several lazy episodes, this was amazing. 3 real people with different personalities and motivations interacting instead of clones. I wanna buy your Vimeo Series now :)
Is no-one gonna mention the fact that jake is at peter salsburys wedding?
Rossi the Bossi you gotta help me out man. Why is that name so familiar. I know it's hidden somewhere in my brain. Who is peter salsbury?
Jonas Trosch hes jakes best clothes rake
So Ace oh yeah, thanks 😂
Rossi the Bossi DIDN'T EVEN THINK OF THAT! LOL
Trapp killed him :(
I think that's the best acting I've ever seen Amir do. And I really like him as an actor. But that was like.... really really good!
Austin Archer, Prank Wars where he thinks he's going to be on Human Giant and cries at the end... supremo acting.
I might be an idiot and unable to detect sarcasm in your comment, but that was a genuine reaction from him with the Human Giant
Brian Nguyen No, it was not. Amir and Streeter recently revealed on the “If I Were You” podcast that all of the Prank Wars videos were fake.
Brian Nguyen So you were right, in a way.
Tyler Drama I really wish I didn’t see this...
Seeing Amir finally break and yell "SHUT THE FUCK UP" had me laughing my ass off
I don't even know what's going on anymore with these fourth wall breaks
These, these, these, these, random fits of grandeur,
he was talking to the camera lady
Sam is not going to like this!
Yeah, the fourth wall break is them showing that they're filming this as a video, but in that case why would they film this feedback session(at two angles like that)? So is this supposedly a sketch or real life(in terms of what they are portraying)?
LeCatization Existential af
This fucking episode is genius
1:11 "i have never hit him..." lmfao
The marriage Jake is at must be the one he's coatracking, an honor of the HIGHEST calender
"I didn't have to scream at him, but I did. And I think that's fine." 🤣
amir once said (way back when) that the only acting he could do was the over the top crazy CH amir shit, but this was straight up very very nice
yeah he said he wasn't good at serious stuff, i think he's seriously improved lol
I think that this is the same character taken through that's worked on himself
And made a change
I think he was able to grasp at a lot of truths in his own life and bring it into his performance for this. Like I could totally imagine the real Amir speaking like that. Put himself in it rly.
Riley is very natural on camera, she will be missed. RIP, todah
Ed Burdick yee
Marty will also be missed
.... and he will be kissed
Good thing she's still here
A stern intern who shows concern makes my heart burn. We'll miss our Riley, at Headgum.

I like how Amir is progressively gettin... More than annoyed at Geoff.
Geoff was beefing.
SirTatManTat When?
Eric Rose the Croix of the joke is from jake and amir.
He's more than annoyed actually, he's irritated.
Ethanmeister He's more than irritated, he's mildly upset.
This one and the Noir sketch it is some Premo work. You guys should be more willing to take liberties like that to make the characters flourish more.
premo
The Noir one is incredible
Amir's acting in this was stunning. Seriously... I hope he continues to improve cause he took the sketch to a new level.
I GOTTA see the outtakes for this
This and a few others will be classic Headgum videos one day! Glad to see this leather company grow.
dtownkb Of jorts...

Bozo.. Good Cop Bad Cop.. maybe?

I like how Amir deftly dances around doing anything but apologizing. It:s like watching a ballet of jorts
omfg when amir yelled I lost it
These videos are getting better and better
0:46 that delivery was ... perfect
What a stunning development
“How he is, By the way, is how I always am” I love the idea that Amir in some way is the same Amir Valerie Blumenfeld from college humor but time and Geoffs presence has kinda subdued him. Like “I’m not ok either I just compartmentalized it because I’m an adult and I help run a company now”
AMIR BROKE GEOFF! My God, Amir was the monster this whole time.
I think they broke each other
This is one of the best headgum sketches

Amir's acting at 2:16 is amazing haha. Reminds me of David Brent

Yo MVP. I've never been able to figure out
That was one of the all-time greats
god this video is so smart and it’s way too real. new sketches got me going through old ones and man, this one’s crazy
I can’t believe I found this so late it’s gotta be my favorite Jake and Amir anything ever, and for some reason it reminds me of always sunny in Philadelphia.
Geoffreph goes off the rails so fast and details everything immediately that Amir's reaction is so genius. on a hat
nice to see these videos starting to top a lot of my favorite jake and amir skits. the growth is crazy throughout the years
I hope they do more episodes like this. I was thinking it was just a Jake and Amir Clone but you get to see so much more of these characters in just this one episode. Keep it up!
This was... more than a long time coming. I would have loved a Jake and Amir episode like this
This.. was fantastic. Fresh too.
Another really good one! Good to see some variety in the sketches. Riley is so nice!!!
I wish the series went more in this direction, it took such a good dark turn
I need a person like that standing up for me.
No this is genuinely one of the best skits they’ve ever ever put out. Damn that perfect delivery.

That's Amir telling us that he's the same as he was in Jake and Amir, but he learned to tone down the stupidity. I love that they confirmed that and you should too.
I deserve to see the outtakes of this.
You've really outdone yourself, Blooms. 10/10
0:45 things got R E A L
Haha this was the best episode in a long time. Good to see them trying new dynamics. Was less predictable, especially the end! #meta
Amir’s outburst is secondhand cathartic lmao
"Jake and Amir" meets "Lonely and horny". Cringe humor at its best.
this was incredible, i love when you guys take chances and explore and develop new ideas !
Some leather goods,

Holy shit, that was fucking gold.
It's like when you get frustrated and are mean to a dog in front of a girl, you immediately regret it but are the monster regardless.
Amir just keeps looking better and better!
Best headgum video thus far!! so funny .
Amir had to start writing again. Shits fuego now
It's Clayton Kershaw lol
Class work Coys and Grills. This and "Noir" are.. are... are... are... Nice
I don't think I've ever heard amir yell.
This is taupe!

Thank you sir
You mean that this episode was “grey”.
This was exactly like my last break up. Only without the actual 3rd person there. Still stings.
riley's acting was incredible. the writing was awesome. this is the best headgum video yet. im crying tears of soy.
The silent gasp when Geoff flinched was perfection
LMAO Dark!Amir nice
this is a style of video you guys should definitely revisit, its so good
This was genius! Keep em coming!
“Tanned good leather store on Etsy” that’s the most random thing he could have said
Geoff looked like he was about to laugh when Amir shouted
It's so sad/hilarious how Geoggrey nods when Amir says that he's been pretty dumb
Fucking todah. This is probably the best sketch I've seen out of headgum.
"How he is, is how I am, I just don't show it as easily" Proof that Amir is still just as insane as he always was under that thinly veiled veneer?
wow that was fucking amazing, i love how they made amir sound like an abusive parent the entire time
Things got real
I've never seen Amir yell like that and the timing was hilarious!
I love how this is like an episode of a behind the scenes moment lmao
You guys need to do more different types of these... loads of different series - one for everyday of the week!

How Amir would act if he came across a Amir irl
oh man i never seen this one.. this was one of their best at headgum lol xd amir trying to convince reilly that he was a sad boy too was so funny
Is Amir actually supposed to be in the wrong or is that just part of a joke, like how in Jake and Amir Jake would lose even when Amir is at fault? Because it seems like Geoffrey really was just interrupting a discussion and got wha was coming.

Yes a new Geoffrey episode, today is going to be a good day :)
Last two Dumbass Sketches have been VERY solid ( Noir and Leather Goods). It is a shame that they do not have more views.
