Was thinking there was quite a few rivets, then I remembered tanks and ships. Awesome job!

I plan on doing almost the same mods to my 1980 Citation 4500 next year, lets just say i'm watching your videos closely lol!

Hope you have as much fun as I am lol. Easily the most enjoyable sled I've ever owned. Good luck to ya!

👍. Good job! That’s is a ton of work. I always thought a Yamaha T.S.S or tundra front suspension struts would be a lot easier to fab up.
If u get some Clecos it would be a lot faster/easier for the sheet metal work.
For the back of tunnel you could cut about 1-1/2” above the running boards (the part where your feet sit) up to the rear drop bracket or past if u want. Then cut the taper u want from the extension. Remove excess. With the flat part of the running board and 1-1/2” of remaining metal bend the running board up tight to your taper u cut then use the 1-1/2” piece behind the taper to rivot to tunnel.

For sure, the struts would be easier I think. I tried to find a set when i started this but got tired of looking and said screw it and went with the trailing arms lol.

Can you do a budget break down video? 🔥

Yeah I can do that. Might take me a minute to get it out, but itll happen. Biggest expense by far is tools if you dont already have them.

Cool video man, do you know what the main things on your summit that you deleted to drop weight? Few things I saw in the videos you have but curious if you deleted things off camera? Thanks!

Thanks dude. On the summit I think the best thing you can do to lose weight is drop the stock exhaust. I didn't weigh it but the stock silencer has to go 30 lbs at least. I also put in a pipe without the external steel shield on it. After that I'd swap out the skid. The C7 suspensions were not light. The sc10 series weren't much lighter though so go with something newer if you have the option. I'd also swap stock steel skis for plastics if you havent already. Swap stock handlebars for aftermarket aluminum. Get rid of your sway bar if you dont ride trails too much. Just remember its gonna roll easier if you do that. That's about it really. You could go nuts and cut the seat down and install an aftermarket tunnel cooler cuz the stock ones are massive on that sled. But that's really way more work than it's worth lol. Really just depends on how much effort you want to put into it and how much cash you wanna drop on lightweight aftermarket parts. But you will reach a point where it's more cost effective to just buy a good used ZX or REV. Hope that helps a little.

@@NorthwoodsNoise thanks for the input. It's a loaner sled so dont care to dump money in it. Paid 600 for it so I'll lighten it as much as I can without going crazy. I'll look into the pipes and handle bars. Replace shocks and caller good. I'll keep an eye on vids coming out. We live the same type of lifestyle up here in western Canada, cheers

Get rid of that ugly seat! Would look much better with stock seat.
