Assume your were not there for an actual preventive maintenance service, since you did not clean anything. If it was what you consider a maintenance service, then it is a pretty slack service you really did nothing. The condenser coil should be cleaned on that type of service at a minimum. Did not see that coupling get glued, hopefully it doesn't get knocked apart by the homeowner or leak. I agree that Trane homeowner warranty transfer is BS, Trane's way of getting out of covering their stuff. We are a Trane dealer and I have seen some new homeowners get screwed on units we installed. We would try to use the original homeowners name in some cases but Trane actually tracks and checks to see if properties have changed hands.
No was not there to clean anything. And as of June 1st all Warranties are good for ten years no matter how many times they sell the house here in Fla. So correct, i did nothing but just an inspection and blew out the line and make sure all armaflex and float switch is in place and in good condition.
Correct. I should have worded that differently. More of an inspection for resale of home. Pressures and looking for anything out of the ordinary. They basically want to know if it’s cooling, if we recommend items to be replaced they usually just note it and that’s it. On a 2021 I just get in and get out. That pvc is not coming undone and here in Jax we have major issues with Zoogloea there are many that we run into that are not glued. That fitting ain’t coming off.
I use a drain dawg (Divirsirech) hooked to nitrogen and it works great!
