Combination of animal farm touch of clock work orange with a touch of willy wonka absolutely amazing rens a modern day genius
I see it as more of a culmination of his work so far of his hip hop catalogue...all of these themes he touches on in his other "hip hop" songs
"Animal farm, kubrick movies and charlie and the chocolate factory were all refferences for this! with a sprinkle of the purge in there too!"

As a movie buff I think he is paying tribute to cult film classics ..Animal Farm being the main theme based with scenes from these classics like The Shining (girl on bike in hallway) Witches of Eastwick ( 3 girls around Rens feet ) A clockwork orange ( dressed in white with a cane ) Silence of the Lambs ( cannibal stair scene with lamb ) the chocolate factory (the beat ) Wind in the willows and creature from the black lagoon ( bathroom scene toad and creature in bath ) All cult classical movies.. Im sure there are more .. this is a piece of art ..nice reaction

Ironically in the end horse that did most of work on farm is fed with meat of his killed fellow - even honest and worthy are in the end to be cannibals as victims of system...❤

"Animal Farm" was required reading in high school. 🤔 I'm amazed so many didn't do their homework.
Never even heard of it, really depends on where you were and when you went. We had tons of required reading, but never heard of this.
You should go back to the beginning of the video and read the wall... Much of this was inspired by George Orwell's 'Animal Farm', and the videography has a lot of Stanley Kubrick vibes.

I haven't read it since the 80's and figured I should refresh my memory before the song dropped. I've rewatched the video a few times; there are easter eggs all over the place. 🙂

One the wall there is the 7 "laws" from Animal farm. Ren is extremely talented and intelligent, it is evident in this release. This is an Orwell touched up with a touch of Clock work orange. I love it ❤ It's fire! 🔥

This is about Animal Farm he loves George Orwell & Aldous Huxley.
Great reaction as Usual. The song and the vid are direct references to George Orwell's "Animal Farm" which you probably know, was a giant satire on the Russian Revolution. At the beginning of the vid, the Black writing on the white wall, is from the book, It's the 7 Commandments the pigs came up with for the animals to follow after the animals revolted and took over farm. For those who don't' know, Animal Farm goes the exact same way as the Russian revolution did, Revolt against the oppressors, (Communism) The pigs then started to change the rules to suit themselves, and if the animals disagreed they were deposed of. (Stalinism) 😊
Nearly all reactors to this are missing the animal farm reference.. and relevance of the meeting behind animal farm.... Russian Revolution, anti capitalism

Nicely put, particularly towards the end. For me it's knowing you have the claws. but applying them only as needed and, ideally, that should be at the most sparingly - in the extreme - to have the required effect; know you aren't the only beast with talons out there, and it really is bestt to avoid unnecessary collateral. That 'quickening' thing does need a firm mistress or, as Ren is a maser of demonstrating, a quizzical/comical sense of awareness, in the grand scheme of things. Still, for that bottom.of layers of society type (let the sociologists/political economists class us as they will), it is bloody cathartic to just summon up an 'f you' once in a while.
Typical mental health professional simply not observing.

This is crazy ¡!¡ , he just made a rap song, while beatboxing the beat, and inspired in the "Animal Farm" book by George Orwells:
"...The rebellion starts after an incident where the farmhands neglected and starved the animals for two days. The cows kick down the barn door and every animal starts to go crazy. When Jones (farmer) tries to whip the animals, they chase every human off the farm, therefore igniting the rebellion.
After a day of frenzied excitement, order resumes. The pigs are put in charge and the farm is renamed Animal Farm. Seven commandments are put on the side of the barn, along with the motto, “Four legs good, two legs bad”. .......
In todays world, of political and economic failure, hypocresi corruption and caos, and society madness .... this story is not looking so crazy... anymore.

That's only a small part of the story. It's an allegory of the Russian revolution. A cynical comment on communism and a cautionary tale about a revolt against tyranny can end up being its own tyranny. The pigs became dictators, went against most of the 7 commandments (that were initially written in an idealistic pursuit for equality) and were virtually indistinguishable from their former human master. I see Ren's message as in this act of gaining supremacy, we lose our humanity. These are animals eating human flesh completely consumed by their blood lust and desire to dominate the humans. After all at the end the animals are dancing to Ren' tune and following him outside. It's a call to enter his mind where he is laid bare - all of his neurosis and darkest thoughts run amok. He freely admits to having insane thoughts and animalistic impulses just like the rest of us. It's no use simply demonising individuals such as Trump or Hitler because we all have the potential and the animalistic impulses to dominate, to destroy. "He without sin cast the first stone". I see this video and this track as Ren's dreamscape, his thought process with no filter just like in Hi Ren. So many things are in there - so many movie references all jumbled up and manifesting itself just as the brain or the subconscious does within a dream state.

@@davespicer3647 I read it two or three decades ago myself. Had to quickly read a synopsis to remind myself about what it was all about. It’s a great read and it says a lot about Ren to incorporate Orwell into the narrative of his song and video. I love how he utilises these things into his art. I think he had a lot of time to read and watch movies for the years he was pretty much confined to his bedroom through ill health. Although a part of him feels he had lost a big part of his life imprisoned by his ilness, I like that he managed to make use of the time when he felt isolated and alone.
The pigs behind him Napoleon and Snowball ? some think the 3 girls are Witches of Eastwick but I think Macbeth . Also dog’s playing poker 🤣🤣🤣 ☮️

This is gift based on George Orwell Animal Farm, and Clock work orange . Two things that are Influenced Ren.
Both are based on the breakdown of society, and those who rule to control the masses, through media propaganda, and creating divisions between the people. The elites who benefit from all of this. And how we as a society may fight back against it, to implement something different, we only end up back in the same power struggle, because absolute power ,corrupts absolutely, because deep down we are Animals consuming ourselves. Hence the animals at the end eating raw meat .

This young man has dealth with so much it broke him down mentally. If he gave up not many people would blame him and yet here he is. Powerful, talented, with a message of hope and courage. I heard it said this morning as a quote from St Augustine that Hope had 2 beautiful daughter; Anger sees the wrong that must be corrected, and Courage who puts aside her fear to right the wrong. In an earlier song called HI Ren; Ren says I an the voice of Hope and I am I am the voice that you hear when you loosen the noose on the rope. This artist is like Phoenix rising from the ashes, that as he put cremated his brain. He >s living proof that if we fight hard enough and act with courage we can held ourselves and thise around us. > love hus music and though I'm not ordinarily into rap I have yet to find a song of Ren's that I don't like. To add another level of complexity for you: If you remember back in Illest Of Our Time, Ren invited us all to peek into his mind. In this video, I think he is giving us a guided tour of what it is like to live in his head. He said in one of his community posts (I think around Hi Ren) that when he was dealing with the worst mental issues, he was actually hallucinating that all the people he saw had animal heads.
It would be exhausting to live in a chaotic mental state like this, if that is part of what it's meant to represent.
One of Ren’s favourite books was Animal Farm, when he was in psychosis he would see people this way. "Not by age but by disposition is wisdom acquired” Just brilliant!

Did you notice that the video is a really long one shot? Thats incredible really. If you watch it again. Notice all yhe places that there should have been a cut but there isnt and what they do instead of cutting between shots.
