I love hearing players talk about other players. That's real perspective
For real man. Its one thing to have conversations with fans online. But having someone sit across from you that legit guards these dudes irl is some real basketball insight.
Which is why Draymond is right about players being able to start a “new media” . There’s a different appeal to hearing their perspectives over the talk show heads
they will never say something real about how bad they think is another player, something honest... these interviews are limited in opinion

The thing I love about KD and Kyrie is that they're straight business when it comes to scoring. No gimmicks, no trying to fool the refs or nothing because they know they can give you buckets anyway you want it. A lot of the other great scorers are always looking to influence the refs for calls, flopping all over the place.
Because they dont play physical but finesse bball therefore less foul caals or nedd for flopping

I think playing against a guy like KD is a little bit unfair because when you really think about it there is nothing you can really do to stop him. The guy is 7ft with handles, crossover, mid-range, long-range, hesi, free throw. He has everything in his bag. He can pull up from anywhere and shoot over everybody.
Crazy to think that he even had an Achilles injury

KD’s skill is top tier if not the highest but he never showed that he’s the one take it home without hooping for the best team in the nba. Hence okc mvp seasons and on the nets (arguably his best version of himself).

I watched this game and you could tell that he knew he needed to step his game up after the game. Also got a signed Jersey from KD as well
KD was my man after watching him play his first game at Texas, and by following him I became a Sonic fan but eventually OKC which I still am. I watch all of the Nets’ games too but OKC is, as KD said about Chet, “Going to be a problem.” When Chet plays we will all know what I mean-loaded, incredibly young, long, athletic and with a plan. Thanks Paolo as I really like the Magic.

This is what’s beautiful about this podcast. I’m a big analytics guy but I used to play competitive too and when you play against guys, you know who stands out you don’t need to see the numbers. I’ve seen prime Harden, Steph, Lebron, and Embiid live and I always tell people KD the best player I’ve seen in person. What Paolo helps validate what I’ve seen, the guy in a vacuum is the perfect NBA player.
Also this further validates how impressive Tatum’s defense was on KD in the playoff this past season. And while getting buckets on the other end…younger players in the future will talk about him like how players are talking about KD now
I'm not at all a KD fan, yet I still need to admit he's the best player in the league. He literally has zero weakness offensively.

Kevin Durant is my favorite player but just seeing him be able to do these crazy moves at this age is just crazy and Kevin is just such a nice player that is why he is my favorite because he shows respect and kindness to anyone and everybody.
KD got that welcome as well when Kobe baited him to taking an ill advised 3 and the Sonics lost. Good thing this kid has the understanding that sometimes, you just can't do nothing vs Elite players.

I’ve always said if you want to know the best player in the league, ask the players. Not the media, coaches or the fans. Too many fans are influenced by the sports media who have other agendas or people in power influencing them. Most players will tell you KD is the best in the league.
It's times like this that make me miss Kobe Bryant, he would talk about basketball in the player's perspective and he would give props to players that nba media analysts fail to do so. I would want to hear him talk about KD and how under appreciated he is by the fans and media.
