  • Greetings everyone!
Today, we have one hell of a repair that came in... AGAIN. It's yet another Samsung LED TV, this time another 70" that keeps restarting and never produces a picture according to the customer, just like the other one that I showed in my last video. It has the same exact problem as the other one I just repaired, so this one shouldn't take long before it is back with the customer!

Thank you for taking the time to show every one how to fix the problem I have the same issue also and will never buy a samsung again and told all my friends to stay far away from them, sad you pay $600 for a tv that only last 2 years. Mine is also on the right side wondering why they can't make Samsung recall these or at least make them replace the screens, I know it would cost them millions but maybe they would stop making this garbage. I did do some research on how the screens are made and they are very complex but still common. Guess there more interested in selling TVs sad part is most people like myself will never buy there product again, my son has my 50" vizio thats over 10 years old and still working.
Once again thanks for the video.

Thank you for the kind words! Yea unfortunately, it seems these things don't last like they used to. With any modern TV, the screen is indeed a very complicated part, and the precision that is involved in producing these screens is incredible! In terms of recalling them, that is up to Samsung to decide. I believe if a majority of people are upset and complain to them, maybe something will get done.
Talking about older TVs like the one you mentioned, yes they hold up much longer than most modern TVs. My suggestion is go down to your local thrift store and pick up an older LCD TV if 4K is not a requirement you need.
      Thanks for watching!

Great videos and very helpful, i have a short on the right side of my panel which i bypassed by blocking some of the ribbon cable, yesterday the image on my tv just shrank and then displays vertical faint lines and a very fuzzy / distorted picture I have redone the tape but no i have no image on the screen at all back light and sound works, if i remove tape tv restarts like the orignal fault any ideas of what to look for or is this set now scrap?

Thanks for your dedication towards my channel! It sounds like you still have a problem with the panel (screen) of your TV. It could be on the other side of the panel the problem, and/or there are more signals that are shorted that need to be blocked. Hope this helps!

First thanks for the video. What would we do without people like you discovering comment problems. You brought me closer to in my troubleshooting on my TV.
But something seems off with my TV. I have a Samsung TV (un70au7199uxzg) as well with only one main flat cable from the MB connected to a middle (Tcon board) that separates in to two other via a flex cable. By disconnecting for example the left side, the problem is gone. But when I disconnect the right side (when the left side is connected back) the problem is gone as well. What drives me crazy. I can't limit the error just for one side of the panel. Is there any chance of hope?

It looks like that there might be no resolution at this point. If it appears on both sides, then the panel itself has completely failed. This problem is a little too new for me, so I'm still investigating to see if there is any fix to it.
Thanks for the kind words and I hope you keep watching!

Thanks a lot , this was the best video i saw on this 70" Samsung tv panel repair , i fixed 2 of them today with your method , only issue , the color is just a bit washed out on both the tvs on the side where i put the tape to block the traces , any suggestions ?

I'm glad my video helped you to bring back your TV alive. Unfortunately, because of the blocked lines (which are no good), the TV will have on one side a slightly discolored picture. The only way to solve this is if the entire screen is replaced.

I took my remote turned off the TV. Then remove batteries from the remote and hold the Power button down on the remote for about 3 minutes, let go and replace with fresh batteries and TV comes back on with screen!!!

@@cindyswitzer4025 unfortunately, these TVs have an internal fault with their screen that can't be remedied using the solution you say. But, sometimes, solutions like the one you mentioned do work. It only takes a couple of minutes, so it is worth a try!
