I'd genuinely love to see the giddyness of somebody who plays this knowing ALL the references to Sam & Max, Team Fortress 2, Homestar Runner AND Penny Arcade
God knows when this was streamed BUT. Strongbad's model, including the glasses, and a lot of his animations were ported straight from the 5-episode game series Telltale did "Strongbad's Cool Game For Attractive People."
I would describe Tycho's personality as snobby dork who says "ballin" and "word up" in a desperate attempt to be cool. At least when Strong Bad tries to be cool it's endearing because he goes so overboard with his bragging that it becomes obvious he doesn't know what he's talking about. Tycho just feels too much like people I know.
that intro song was so intriguing !!! I knew it was something I was familiar with but woah, played by an orchestra it was so strange and hard to recognize !
one thing i *really* dont like about poker night 1 is heavy's characterization at times, mostly with. this (25:23) line. heavy's a killer of men, but he's not this brutal. hell, off the battlefield, heavy's as reserved and quiet as they come. it's not a consistent issue, but it really bugs me. EDIT: 44:00 is a perfect example of how out of character that line is. he kills quick, either by a: pumping as many minigun rounds into you as possible, b: shotgun, or c: beating the shit out of you with his bare hands. no finger ripping or wrench shoving, just punching you till you're dead
The humor behind Strong Bad and HR series as a whole is that it's mostly character-based with occasional pop culture references. "It's funny b/c Homestar is an idiot!" "It's funny b/c Strong Bad is tough, but he's also childish!"
14:04 He would’ve had King and Jack pairs and beat Strong Bad’s King and 3 pairs, what do you mean he would lose 28:40 Yeah this guy… is surprisingly into that. There’s a conversation in this game where his fetish even freaks out MAX of all people 30:07 Legendary surprise full house AAAAAAAAAAND 31:15 Tycho has a BETTER full house, damn 50:02 The bluff pays off 57:25 victory 1:08:17 Raising when SB is all in, nice. Also Heavy raised and cracked his neck earlier, a tell he was bluffing, then he folded
Me personally with the whole talk about 1 vs 2, I love 2 more. I don’t know much about home star runner and the ctrl alt delete ripoff, but I love Sam and max and like tf2. 2 has Ash, from my favorite movie trilogy, Brock from my favorite show ever, the other half of the Sam and max duo, and claptrap (who I want to kill) So while 1 has 2 characters Im indifferent about, there’s 2 i like. 2 has 3 characters I adore to death, and 1 I want to kill. I prefer 3 good 1 bad. Edit: never mind i hate tycho just as much as I hate claptrap
I think in the third game, if they release one, there should be like 20 characters, including the 8 from the first 2 games, plus maybe Shantae, who would play cautiously until she reaches a certain money threshold and then play a more risky strategy, Steve from 5-Step Steve, who would play the first 5 hands cautiously and then go all in every turn, and/or TF2's BLU Spy, who would have special interactions with RED Heavy, and would vary his strategy depending on who's in the game; with a bunch of cautious players, he would bluff more, while with a bunch of risky players, he would step back and let everyone tear each other apart. Maybe even Scout, who would pick one player and spend a few turns folding and watching how they play, then once he's got a good idea of their strategy, he would copy them.

knowing how fast gray is to post streams i honestly wouldnt be surprised if he had posted the vod before he streamed the game

the best exchanges in this game by far are Strong Bad and Tycho ripping into each other

Short is actually a fitting Poker Nickame. Cause his brain keeps shorting and he then goes all in in awful situations.
Tycho only bothers people so much because they can see pieces of themselves in his personality.

Or
B. About to lose his shit

You buy the steam key but cost range from $74 to $122, you can also pirate it but won’t get any achievements for weapons.
