THIS DEFINITELY IS ONE TO WIKIPEDIA 1ST. To See HOW MANY ALBUMS THAT HE PLATED ON IN LESS THAN ONE DECADE
Hello. I am old and have Zero Idea how to do Instagram, or your other site.
1 person that you have Never played was My 1st guitar hero of the mid 1970s. His name was TOMMY BOLIN. He, sadly, passed away in December of 1976 of a drug overdose. I was 17 and his death Crushed My World for quite a While. I would LOVE to see/watch your reaction to "Dreamer" Studio version off of the Album "Teaser". Also, MY Favorite Tommy Bolin song is "Wild Dogs" also off of his 1st solo album, "Teaser". Also, a Great jamm song off of his 2nd solo Album, ''Private Eyes'', is the track titled "Post Toastee". Everyone gets to Show Off a Bit On "Post Toastee". IF you love songs with Great Dynamics from slow, sparse, beautiful and melodic to- Boom, rocking out in a flash, and then BOOM- right back to soft and mellow, then "Dreamer" is for you. I would recommend the regular studio audio of all. Thank you. I Love watching your Reactions!
When you read it, just Look at ALL he did in a Very Short Time. More than a Lot of Artists/Bands do in their entire Career...
@Jamel_AKA_Jamal : Does That Make You Even a Little Intrigued??

Hell is For Children still makes me cry all these years later. Unfortunately, there was a story unfolding for a young mom of four who worked with my mom at the time this album came out. Incredibly sad and altho the mom was able to save her kids from the situation and the abusive dad went to prison, there hasn't been a "and they all lived happily ever after" for the kids.

In the early days of MTV, some of the videos were mini-movies. This video creates a storyline about a runaway teen in trouble, something not really in the lyrics of the song. But it fits. They packed a lot of story into such a short video. And in the end, is she heading back home? Or onward to a new destination?

Don asked Neil if he could use the Linn drum machine's synced beat (from this song) for one he was trying to put together and boom..... that's how the beat for Don Heley's "Boys Of Summer" came about!

This is the first video on MTV to have spoken words (when she's arguing with her dad when she runs away). Also, Pat had the very 2nd video to play on MTV (only after Video Killed The Radio Star), singing the song You Better Run. That's another video you need to see! She is a teen runaway, she misses her little brother. The guy in the bar is her pimp & she and the other girls rebel against him. She regrets going to the big city and getting involved in that life, and at the end she goes home.

The pimp is played by Michael Peters who is also the choreographer for this video and he also did the choreography for Michael Jackson's Beat It. He also played one of the gang leaders in the famous knife fight scene where the tied one of their hands to the other

Hey Jamel! Fun fact: The choreographer on this video was Michael Peters. You even see him briefly in the video. He's the one in the park wearing sunglasses watching as Pat walks down the stairs. He was *the* choreographer for big budget 80's videos like this one. He also choreographed for Lionel Ritchie and, most notably, Michael Jackson ("Thriller" and "Beat It"). Helluva resume. ☮✌🏼 out!

Check out her first hit - Heartbreaker. It's Pat Benetar at her finest - on stage with a microphone in hand. No overly produced videos, no awkward dance routines. Just her and her amazing voice!

That was filmed on 14tth street and off 8th avenue in nyc in a bar that I can no longer remember the name of. I walked by as they were filing this video as my best friend lived in a brownstone right upstairs! Awesome memory!

Love this song. My personal favourite though is 'Too Long a Soldier' from Wide Awake in Dreamland, an immense song with a very pertinent message.

Pat Benatar became a star at the same time that MTV became a huge music tv station. In fact, the first video they ever played was by Pat. This video was extremely popular...as you can see, it was almost like a short film.

I can never not associate this video with the version from SOUTH PARK, now...never...that scene where the townspeople come up over the hill, doing the group dance at the end of this...priceless.

This was the 80's... Music Videos were often their own mini movies. "Artistry" was going through a transition and no matter what you hear about the 80's... the music, and the music industry, and the music as a medium, really evolved in the 80's.

You need too see her actual concerts. Seen her 3 times. She is all but 5'2 and dressed in leather. 3 octave voice too! She married the lead guitarist. They've been together ever since. She is really a classy lady now.

Man... Pat Benetar back in the early 80's. She had the voice of an angel, and the looks that made you wish she was anything but. Of course, she was already married to her guitarist, Neil Geraldo by then... she married at 17. But I can remember spending a lot of hours listening to her music while staring wishfully at her picture on the album cover...

I recall hearing and watching this for the first time. It was in a pub, called, ''The Underground'' in Sheffield UK. I was with my girlfriend, and we watched the video on a big screen. I was totally blown away. It struck me like lightning.
I was instantly in love with this song. Just loved the voice, so powerful, and the video The dancing bit was super great.
One of my favourite songs ever. I even play it on guitar today..
I dumbed the girlfriend, three times, I never learned. Happier days though back then. You could keep a girlfriend for more than two minutes, and the music was great!. Great stuff Jamal. My best wishes from across the pond moog.
