I bought Redmi 5 3 months ago.Now it can run pre-installed apps easily.But it lags in all 3rd party Applications.I can't play heavy games like Ashphalt 8,PUBG in also low graphics mode it has major frame drops.

I do agree with all that you have said! I still did not experience the "focus pumping" in the videos, but I've seen many videos of Xiaomi phones remarking the problem. With reference to the one hand use I can only say that everytime I really need to use it with one hand I enjoy the stock one hand mode and everything gets easy! I believe that this is not valid for the 5 plus, since it is about 3mm wider and more unbalanced in terms of center of gravity this makes it not comfortable to handle with one only hand, hope you agree. For who's like small phone factor like last year redmi 4 and this year redmi 5, the hd+ resolution seem to be only deal breaker to this particular device while snapdragon 450 performed flawlessly as 625 because both share same adreno 506 gpu. Hopefully xiaomi will dedicated 1080p for next redmi non plus/prime series and 720p for their entry level phone only like redmi's A series.
By the way: you are in general right and I can confirm to you that the only reason why I have preferred it to the redmi 4x it's the processor. If Xiaomi would have upgraded the 4x with sd 450 (maybe in a 4/64 global version...), then I would have definitely bought it

I don't think xiaomi can offer another budget phone like redmi 3s/prime again. No phone that came after that could beat it in any department in its segment. This one could be a let down with non standard phone size like you said. I am still not convinced yet to buy it. It might be launching on 14th March in India.
Using Redmi note 4 which is my 1st Mi phone ..iam very happy with the performance for 3 months after that got a problem earphones connect symbol stays even after unplugged...after lot of googling got a solution for that but it's not ended there.. Ringtone got completely silence even with full volume and checked dnd option but no solution only way to get back is restart the phone., Because of this issue I missed lot of calls and it's really frustrating to the core. After googling lot of mi users complained the same issue.. strange:-( In my research finally I came to a conclusion that if ur priority is calls and signal strength..we should prefer SAMSUNG or APPLE...these MI Chinese toys are for gaming kids and low budget selfie freaks. And to the worst part..after my purchase I recommend rn4 to colleagues and they too bought ( 5 guys)..in that 5 ..2 guys are happy till now other 3 scolding me for recommending this toy. Low budget MI is definitely not for professionals it's meant for gaming kids and selfie mads. Dot☠️ Redmi note 4 is my 1st and last Mi phone that's sure😠

I think its good that xiaomi use on screen hardware button now.. many xiaomi budget phone use not backlighted hardware button and it so hard to see at night or when u at dark surrounding..

The bezels are still relatively thick if you compare them with honor 7x or 9 lite bezels
And the price difference is also relatively real
